It was cold night, as many of the nights recently had been, it was a simple sign that winter was indeed, on its way. Alex shivered a bit but he ignored it, he had given Sadie his jacket to wear because she was cold before they walked in the theatre. They had just walked out, hand in hand, ”Did you like the movie?” he asked, figuring he’d have to ask the obvious first. The other audience members were starting to go their separate ways as well nearby. He wasn’t sure where he and Sadie were walking to, they hadn’t planned anything after the movie yet, but they always figured out something to do. Sure, it was still a little weird for him; it had been ever since he found out about that stupid boy kissing her. He never really disliked people, but when you put your lips on his girlfriend, he couldn’t help it. Didn’t everyone know she was spoken for?
He wasn’t mad at her anymore; really, his insecurities were just getting the best of him. He was scared he’d lose her to someone else, someone possibly better for her. He had never really been in a relationship before, he had always been one of those casual dating guys. The one that never really put a label on it, but was never a dick about it either. Sadie was the first girl he actually claimed himself and stepped up to ask her out. She had never been the type he usually went for, but when he first met her, she had caught his eye immediately. He knew that she could see that things were still weird with them and he felt bad because of it, but he wasn’t sure when he’d be 100% okay again.
He looked forward, down the street, the night sky a dark purple and the city lights of the town brightening the night. He looked to Sadie, ”What do you want to do next?” he asked, leaving the decision up to her. He didn’t mind what they did, ”We still have a whole night ahead of us,” he gave a light shrug, rubbing his thumb lightly on her hand. Pedestrians walked past them as they walked down the sidewalk, whenever a male did, Alex couldn’t help but bring Sadie closer. He knew it was stupid but he couldn’t help but be paranoid of other boys trying to take his girl.

there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
Regardless of the fact that she was on a date with Alex, she knew they weren't completely okay. She sat through the movie, only half paying attention to the story that she had seem a million times in different movies. She didn't want to concentrate on the movie, she wanted to concentrate on Alex. For most of the movie, her eyes were glued to Alex as he watched the movie and she just halfway listened. About halfway through she turned her attention to the movie, pulling his jacket tighter around her and zoned out until she heard the music on the ending credits start. She took his hand, following him out, smiling a little when he asked how she liked the movie, "It was okay, I guess."
She halfway leaned against him as they walked, her mind jumping from topic to topic. She understood why he was upset with her but she didn't understand why he was as upset as he was. It wasn't like she had kissed him or even let him kiss her; the only person she wanted to kiss was Alex. She thought that she had made that clear to him when they had the fight about Logan. To her, it felt like he was just looking for an excuse to make them fight and eventually break up. She was trying so hard to change that but she didn't know what else to do. It didn't seem like he wanted to fix things. It seemed like he wanted to ignore it until it got to be such a big deal that they broke up. Honestly, it was starting to take a toll on her. She was starting to get more jealous than she already was, she was making big deals out of things that didn't matter, and it was getting to the point where she would avoid him at home so they didn't fight.
She looked up at him when he asked what she wanted to do and shrugged, "We could go home for all I care." She thought for a second, "Wanna pick up some take out and just go home?" She paused, looking at the street ahead of them, watching everyone that passed by them, I'm just not in the mood to be out." She dropped his hand, wrapping her arm around his waist, leaning into him. "We can do something if you really want to though." She glanced up at him, waiting for his answer, moving her fingers back and forth where they rested on his waist.

Alex gave a light shrug in agreement to the quality of the movie, as much as he paid attention to the movie, he really didn’t care much for it. Recently, there had just been way too much on his mind and he hated how much it all bothered him. She dropped his hand, which alerted him a bit and he shrugged again, ”yeah, that sounds… er.. okay,” he said as he wrapped his own arm around her as she wrapped hers around his waist, leading them to their usual takeout place, ”you okay?” he asked. He knew both of them weren’t okay but he had to play the concerned boyfriend, even if he naturally did play that role. He hated admitting that he was the one upset, but he had tried his best to hide his personal insecurities. He likes Sadie and he didn’t want her to leave him, but he was scared she would.
He shook his head, ”no, you know I just like being with you, no matter where we are,” he gave a light shrug as they walked together in sync. He hated feeling like this, like he was holding onto something that wasn’t going to last. Sure, she said she wanted to be with him, but how long would that last? Would her interest expire? He didn’t know. He wasn’t used to being in relationships so he wasn’t sure how long things like this lasted.

Sadie bit her lip at his response, "Are you sure you don't want to go do something?" Her and Alex had never talked about the topic but to her, he seemed like the type of person who liked to leave the house. Sadie was completely opposite. Most days, she preferred to stay in bed, eat Cheetos, and play video games all the time. Part of her was screaming at herself, telling her that how opposite they were was going to start taking a toll on their relationship but she pushed it back, glancing up at him when he spoke again and nodded at him, Yeah, I'm fine," She paused, shrugging her shoulders lightly, "You know I would rather just stay home." She knew the question was deeper but she was choosing to ignore it. Their problems were becoming less of a hassle and more of an actual problem. Like many times before this one, she wondered how a baby that wasn't his managed to not come between them but someone kissing her did. A flash of anger flashed through her; what right did he have to kiss her? He was some random kid from one of her classes and she had made it perfectly clear that she had a boyfriend and wasn't interested in his lips being anywhere near her.
She partially was starting to hate that she was so nice and believed the best in everyone. She had always thought it to be a good thing but it seemed like one person after another was showing her that people weren't good. It started with Logan, then her dad, and shortly after, this guy. Hearing Alex talk, she looked at him, smiling lightly, "If you say so." As they reached their normal take out place, she opened the door with her free arm, letting him go in first but keeping her arm around him. As upset as she was about the situation, she still hated not being close to him and that was the only thing keeping her from giving up on them. She looked up at him, pulling him closer to her, "Do you know what you want?"
