Clink! was the sound that the empty can made when Jocelyn’s boot tip kicked it off of the roof of the abandoned warehouse she often came to whenever she felt like being alone with no surprises. ’What the fuck!?’ she heard a male yell and she couldn’t help but peek out from the top of the roof, wanting to see the confusion and anger in the man’s face. She giggled when she spotted him, but he didn’t see her, he seemed to not even see where the can came from. ’pour guy probably thinks it’s raining cans,’ she thought as she watched him look around. She rolled her eyes laughing as she headed towards the steel ladder on the back of the building, it didn’t go all the way to the ground, but it was jumping distance. Plus, she had gone up and down the ladder so much, she had mastered it quickly.
She finally reached the ground, straightening up her shirt as she landed. She found herself in an alley, it was a creepy looking one, especially if you came here at night, but Jocelyn wasn’t afraid of it day or night. She wasn’t afraid of anything really, at least that’s what she believed. She slid her hands in to the pockets of her leather jacket and walked down the alley, finally joining the other pedestrians on the sidewalk. She looked around and debated in her mind which way to go, she sort of felt like a lone wolf, always on her own and doing her own thing. She had to admit, she was more than happy now that she was finally back to her healthy self. She had been in recovery from the fight with Xander for weeks, but now, the only evidence that there was even a fight was what was left of the bruise on her side.
She allowed her feet to lead her to the right, towards where all the housing residences were. After a while, she decided to take the lead and head to Ryder’s house. She didn’t think she’d ever see herself doing that, but that was before she got to know him a bit more. Even though he was a pain in the ass sometimes, he was still tolerable, plus, he was always quick with his responses and she liked that he could keep up with her. She would never admit that to him, but just her being around him on her own had to have showed that, right? She never voiced those things; you just had to see it in her actions.
She stood at his doorstep and looked around; she saw his car there, so she assumed he was home. That is, of course, if he didn’t go off with another person that also owned a car. She wasn’t worried or anything, if he wasn’t home, he wasn’t home. She knocked on the door and waited impatiently for someone to open the door. She had been over a few times, so everyone in his household knew who she was. Ryder’s parents only knew what she told them and his little brother was just as much of a pain as Ryder was, maybe even worse.

Isaac poked his big brother on the cheek and Ryder's hand came across to smack Isaac's hand away but Isaac pulled back his hand so that Ryder didn't actually hit him. Then he poked him again. Ryder growled, "What do you want? I'm trying to study for the test next week." Isaac grinned and replied, "I don't want anything other than to annoy you." Ryder looked at Isaac and Izzy grinned that annoying little brother grin. "You've succeeded, so will you go away now?" Isaac grinned and shook his head, "No way man. I think annoying you is funny because you refuse to really ever get mad at me. You're so sweet. Sugar and spice and everything nice, these were the ingredients chosen to make the perfect little girls. Which one are you? Blossom, Buttercup, or Bubbles? I vote Bubbles because she's kinda dumb and so are you." Ryder frowned and Isaac could tell that Ryder really just wanted to smack him but that wasn't the right way to treat your little brother so Ryder would always refuse. He was too damn nice for his own good so Isaac's favorite past time was to annoy the shit out of Ryder just to get his reaction. Isaac was invincible when it came to Ryder because Ryder would never hurt Isaac.
Isaac pushed his buttons to see if he could get Ryder mad enough to just reach out and punch him...Then he could get Ryder grounded, which was a definite win. Ryder growled, "I'm not a powerpuff girl." Isaac grinned widely and replied, "Ryder. How do you know the powerpuff girl theme song? You don't have a little sister to blame that on." Ryder glared and replied, "How do you know it then? 'Cause you don't have a sister either." Isaac laughed and said, "But I do babysit a three-year-old little girl for our aunt." Ryder sighed and threw his hands up in the air. "I hate you sometimes Isaac." Isaac laughed and only said, "Now, that's not the right thing to say to your little brother, now is it?" Ryder frowned and got up, taking his book with him, "I'm going to the library to study because I obviously can't with you around." Isaac shrugged and said, "I can study with me around just fine. I don't know what your problem is."
Ryder rolled his eyes and started looking around for his keys which Isaac had hidden earlier. It was surprising that his older brother hadn't noticed earlier. Ryder looked over at him and asked, "Where are my keys Isaac?" Izzy gave him an innocent smile, "I haven't touched them big brother." Ryder rolled his eyes and just left, deciding to walk. Isaac laughed and watched Ryder walk grumpily down the street. Isaac decided to play some soccer with himself out in the backyard. He switched into some comfortable soccer clothing and kicked the ball around for a little while and then decided to play some video games. He played Super Smash Bros Brawl on the wii and was destroying all the other characters with the use of Toon Link. Suddenly he heard a familiar knock. Jocelyn Vixx, one of the scariest people he knew, but Isaac also knew she wouldn't dare hurt him either. He could tell she liked Ryder, even if she refused to admit it. Isaac opened the door and leaned against the door frame, comfortably. "Hullo Blondie. How is your day so far? Wonderful? I'll bet just by seeing me, you're just happier than the one blond Irish kid. Did I mention your boyfriend has been missing you ever so dearly? Do you miss him too, Blondie? Don't break his heart."

Jocelyn placed her hands on her hips as she waited, her right foot tapping on the welcome mat placed before Ryder’s front door. She wasn’t the most patient person in the world, so it wasn’t a surprise that she was a little annoyed at the waiting time she had to embark on. Her eyes looked elsewhere as she waited for someone to open the door, almost tempted to take out her cell phone and start playing with it, but she wasn’t really interested in doing so. She nibbled on her bottom lip and looked down at her shoes and her outfit, she was wearing dark blue denim skinny jeans, boots, a burgundy spaghetti strap tank top, her infamous leather jacket and her hair was down and wavy as usual. She knew she looked good, she could wear anything perfectly, but recently, whenever she went to see Ryder, she caught herself double-checking that she was presentable. She hated when she got like that around boys, it only happened once before and that was for Xander, but this time it was different, she didn’t know why or how, but it was.
The sound of the door opening interrupted her thoughts and she looked up, seeing none other, than Ryder’s annoying little brother. She narrowed her eyes at him as soon as he began talking, as she usually did whenever he spoke. He had a talent of annoying her, even more than Ryder did at times, it was like this kid was the most annoying kid in the entire universe. She rolled her eyes at his words, ignoring them for the most part as she stepped forward and touched the door opening it wider and letting herself inside. ”Ah, you’re here,” she said in a disgusted tone, ”Where’s your brother?” she asked looking at him as she walked inside and looked around. It was a relief to see that their parents weren’t home, Josie had a feeling they didn’t like her, not that she cared or anything, but still, she hated being around parents.
She looked at Isaac and groaned, ”I wish you’d stop calling him my boyfriend, he’s not,” she said clearly. ”And no, I don’t miss him… and he doesn’t miss me, shutup,” she said looking away. Why couldn’t Ryder be an only child? ”Where is he? Is he in his room?” she asked, turning to face her body towards him, ”you can’t be home alone, aren’t you like…. Fucking five?” she said with a light smirk.

If Isaac Daniel Grey was honest with himself, Jocelyn Vixx was one scary bitch. Her leather jacket was pretty legit and he wanted to steal it, not to wear it, but to hide it for eternity. One of his favorite past times ever was annoying the hell out of her. It was jolly. Isaac just loved to irritate her and get on her nerves. He liked to get a rise out of her, even though she seemed fairly practiced at not hitting him. Isaac would rather she didn't because he'd seen what had become of Derek after an angry episode. Hell, even Ryder had insisted that Isaac not get on her bad side, which Isaac took as a challenge. Now he was more determined than ever to get on her bad side, just to see what she did to him. "Oh yes, your favorite person in the whole damn wide world is here. Did you miss me?" Isaac's eyebrows furrowed as she let herself in without even asking. "Well...You're obviously not a vampire. There goes that theory. You don't have to have permission to come in. So... Are you a werewolf?" He howled, just giving her more shit. Again, annoying her was one of his favorite things ever. She could keep up with him for the most part, unlike Ryder.
A lot of people, especially Isaac's teachers told him he was insightful. He could see things a lot of people couldn't, and at this point in time, he was starting to believe that. Izzy could tell that Ryder was infatuated with Jocelyn and he could see that Jocelyn liked Ryder, even if she refused to admit it. In fact, both of them refused to admit they liked each other and Izzy didn't get it. What was so hard about saying, 'oh hey, I like you a lot, wanna date?' It wasn't that difficult. "Sorry, I'm not a genie, fairy, or a godmother. I can't grant wishes, therefore wish denied. Plus, he mind as well be your boyfriend. I can tell you like him, even just a little, and he's infatuated with you. He absolutely adores you. Not sure why. Normally he likes little bookworm people like himself. You're the exact opposite. But don't worry, if he ever stops liking you, you're still welcome here because I like to annoy the hell out of you." Isaac raised his brow at her next words. That was a lie right there, and they both knew it.
"Bullshit. You may have not missed the boyfriend, but he definitely missed you. He kept debating whether to look all over town for your house but he didn't want to waste the gas. I just told him to call you and he turned a pretty shade of pink. I have a picture." He started laughing. Isaac had yet to make Jocelyn turned pink and embarrass her, but it was one of his many life goals. He even had it written down on his bucket list. He wasn't sure if it was even possible to embarrass Jocelyn, but he was going to try his hardest to do it. Isaac wanted to make her life difficult because that's how he showed affection. That's how he showed loyalty and that's how he showed that he liked you, by teasing you twenty four seven. Isaac cared about Josie and would do what he could for her, but she seemed independent, and plus, he was scared shitless of her other friends. He just didn't understand why her and Ryder got along. It gave him a headache. "He's hiding from you and I'm sworn to secrecy. Sorry." He grinned mischievously and then laughed at her question. Wow. She sure was silly. "Well, I'm not exactly home alone anymore? I've got my super hot babysitter on duty."

Jocelyn had never laid a hand on Isaac, but there were several times in which, she imagined her doing so. He was irritating and he knew just what to do or say to press your buttons, but he was Ryder’s little brother and even though she wouldn’t admit to caring about that simple fact, she did. Her tolerance of the child was running low though and she knew it was only a matter of time before she showed him exactly who he was messing with. She knew he annoyed Ryder too, but would Ry get mad if Josie roughed him up a bit? She wasn’t sure, and she didn’t know if she was willing to take that chance. Ryder had been a pretty good addition to her life recently and even if she wouldn’t say it out loud, she knew it was true. ”I don’t miss anyone, especially not people as annoying as you,” she said in a sweet tone and looked away.
She was amused by his vampire accusation and you could almost see it in her expression, she had to internally give it to the kid, he was good, and just as snappy with his comebacks as Ryder was. ”you’ll just have to wait till the next full moon to find out, wont you?” she asked rhetorically, only adding more amuse to the idea. She narrowed her eyes again at him as he started the boyfriend talk again, she seriously didn’t even know where he got all that from. Her and Ryder were just two human beings hanging out, nothing more, plus, Ryder wasn’t her type. He was a studious dork, a very attractive studious dork, but that was besides the point. No, they were not each other’s type and Josie continued to believe so, she just… sometimes enjoyed having him around, that was all.
”I don’t like him, he’s not my type,” she scoffed, ”you really think I’d be into some… bookworm?” she chuckled and shook her head, ”no, he’s just… decent company,” she shrugged. She knew that wasn’t true, but she wasn’t going to admit anything to this twerp. ”infatuated with me? Why do you think that?” she asked, not believing the kid for a second. ”I know you’re like in second grade, but a girl and a boy can be just friends, you know?” she replied, rolling her eyes at his last comment about liking to annoy her. She knew that he knew exactly what he did to her whenever they were in each other’s presence, which only annoyed her more. ”you know, you might just be the most annoying child in the world,” she said seriously with a nod, ”you should get like… an Oscar or something,” she said with a light smile.
She hated that he kept calling Ryder her boyfriend, he wasn’t, and she hadn’t had one in what felt like ages and there was no way she was starting now. She sort of got a little excited about Ryder missing her but she tried her best not to show it by looking elsewhere and distracting herself. Ryder didn’t know where she lived and she liked to keep it that way, she didn’t want him knowing about her personal life, in which she was obviously ashamed of. He’d probably look at her like some charity case, which she already assumed he was after the whole fight happened. Just no, she wasn’t going to go there, plus she didn’t like people knowing about her personal life at all.
She walked around the house a bit then twisted her body to look back at Isaac, she groaned and walked over to him, standing right in front of him. She took a rough grip on his shirt and leaned down to bring her face to his, “Where…. Is … he?” she asked in a demanding tone. ”EW,” she replied to his hot babysitter comment, ”don’t say that again, you made me throw up a little in my mouth, so thanks for that.”

Sometimes Isaac Daniel Grey liked to go too far when he was teasing people. It was one of the qualities people either hated or loved about him. He had considered the idea that maybe Jocelyn Vixx wasn't one to screw around with but he trusted her. Despite that he knew she was capable of really messing him up, he trusted her. Izzy trusted Jocelyn to not truly hurt him. He wasn't sure why he trusted her not to, but he did. He trusted her just as much as he trusted Ryder not to hurt him. Maybe it was because she was infatuated with Ryder and he knew, even if she didn't. Isaac could tell the two liked each other a whole lot; they just lived in opposite worlds, and didn't want to step out of their own worlds to experience the other. "I call bullshit on that one. Everybody misses me, especially you. I'm your favorite person in the whole wide world, and I know it." Isaac stuck his tongue out and smiled.
Whenever he bantered back and forth with Jocelyn, it was always playful. He never was mean or intentionally rude. Isaac just hoped she never took it that way. Basically, they always tried to come up with the most witty comment. Jocelyn usually won but that was a given. Jocelyn was a girl and Isaac was a boy. A girl always won an argument, even when they were wrong. It was so unfair but it gave him a challenge. Isaac wasn't one to give up in an argument. "Does that mean we're hanging out on the full moon, ma'am? 'Cause there's no other way to find out. If you are a werewolf, I want you to bite me. I wanna be a werewolf too." If Isaac was a werewolf, he'd be considered hot like the dude in Twilight... Then he'd have all the girls panting after him without him even trying... All he had to do was be a werewolf... Or sparkle like a vampire, but that was gay and he didn't want to be gay. He wanted to be MANLY.
"I call bullshit on that too. And yes, I do, or you wouldn't still be standing here trying to figure out where the hell he is. As conceited as I may be, I guarantee you don't find bantering with me as fun as you find hanging around your boyfriend who happens to be my big brother." Isaac laughed at her next question. He wanted to keep laughing because of all the reasons that he knew Ryder was infatuated with her. His brother had paid him off not to tell her what it was he said about her and the fact that he was constantly talking about her but since Isaac had already spent the money on a new hat and a pair of sick shoes, he didn't have to keep the secret anymore. There would be no consequences. "How much are you going to pay me to tell you? Ryder paid me fifty to keep quiet for eternity, but loyalties can change, depending on the paycheck." Isaac grinned mischievously. He liked money. He could always spend it later if Ryder was willing to pay more than Jocelyn was probably going to pay him today. Isaac was easily swayed by dollar amounts. He had no honor, and he wasn't afraid to admit it. "I do know that, thank you very much. I am friends with a few girls my age but with you two, it's not just a friendship... At least not for Ryder. Are you going to make my award? I'd show it off proudly if you did!"
As she grabbed his shirt, he kind of got a terrified look on his face. Trust wavered for just a moment but as she practically growled in his face, he busted up laughing. "So you are a werewolf. Rawr. Bite me, sexy." He laughed at his own joke and then he couldn't stop laughing. It was to the point where he couldn't breathe. Oh man, the look on her face was priceless.

Jocelyn rolled her eyes, this kid seriously didn’t know how annoying he was, unless he did, and he just loved to bug the crap out of people. ”Riiight,” she replied in a sarcastic tone, he was probably nowhere near being even one of her favorite people the world. He was the biggest pain that she knew, but the one person she probably couldn’t get away with laying her hand on. ”possibly, only if you really wanna find out,” she gave a shrug, then made a bit of a disgusted look, ”My mouth wouldn’t go anywhere near any part of you, kid. So you’re shit out of luck on that one.” She placed her hands on her waist and darted her eyes back to Isaac, ”and don’t call me ma’am”, she added.
She narrowed her eyes at him, why was he even in their business? ”Stop. Calling. Him. That.” she said through gritted teeth, again, Ryder was NOT her boyfriend. She wasn’t sure why it even bothered her so much, but she didn’t like it. So what, she liked spending with Ryder. So what, she liked talking to him constantly, even if its by text or Instant Messenger. And so what…. ’crap’ she thought but shook her head, pushing the thought to the back of her mind. She turned to look at Isaac and rose a brow as she crossed her arms over her chest, studying him a bit.
Ryder paid him to keep quiet about her? Or was Isaac just fucking with her? But then again, he wasn’t a liar, in fact, the kid was too honest, really. ”I’m not paying you shit and you know it. How about you tell me and I won’t strangle you in the next 5 minutes?” she tilted her head grinning. ”or I can just steal something for you?” she shrugged, offering another alternative. She actually did want to know if Ryder had been talking about her behind closed doors, did he really possess feelings for her? She wasn’t sure why she wanted to know, but she did and it sort of made her feel a little weird in her stomach at just the mere possibility. She looked away and down at her boots when he said ’at least not for Ryder’. She knew from the way Ryder looked at her that he had some interest, but the fact that he never made a move, nor did she think he was man enough to ever make a move, was a huge turn off for her.
He was nice, funny, caring, and generous though, which were qualities that Josie never really had in a friend before, not even close. But here she was, hanging out with this boy who was the complete opposite of what she was used to being around or thought she preferred, and she was actually comfortable with it. She had been completely fine with having Ryder as a friend, he was pretty good company. She rolled her eyes and a shiver went down her spine when the word ‘sexy’ left his mouth, she hated when he said things like that, it was a bit creepy. ”you’re gross,” she shook her head.
