There was constant fighting, constant threats against her from her mom's scumbag boyfriend. why the hell did she sleep with him anyways? whatever, there was nothing to do but get over it and try to not be home. anna never really bothered with her hair. It naturally fell in waves and she quite liked how it looked. But getting dressed on the other hand, Anna always took seriously. Today she decided on wearing a dress. She just wanted to feel pretty. She finally decided on a simple long sleeved black dress that showed off her legs. along with the dress, she paired a pair of heeled booties and a silver tassel necklace.
Now to decided where to go. Well, the park was nice and far away from her house so she decided to go there. She grabbed her purse, stuffed her ipod and phone in it and walked out the house. Thankfully, no one was downstairs. she texted her mom quickly to tell her that Anna was going to take her car instead of hers. anna's car was low on gas and ugly. Her mom's had a full tank and looked presentable. she got into the silver car and headed to the park. She sat in the car for a good ten minutes, holding back tears. Her house was miserable. She didn't feel safe there. she had no friends. She had no one, not even her mom. She sighed, cleaning herself up. She dabbed at her eyes with her sleeve and smiled at herself in the mirror. She knew exactly what would make her feel better. Lipstick. Lipstick always made her feel hotter, which in turn made her feel better. She took out her emergency lipstick from her bag and applied it carefully to her lips. Much better.
Finally, she got out of the car, putting the long strap of her bag over her shoulder, wearing it across her body. Anna made her way to the lake. The lake was her favorite place to go when she was a kid. She hadn't been there in over a year. Smiling as she walked towards the lake, she began to think. Everything would be okay. everything was ALWAYS okay for Anna. |

Shane's brown eyes scanned over the green grass of the park. His light sweater covered his striped shirt and his blue faded jeans were a little tighter than the normal that he would wear, but hey, he thought they looked alright with his shirts. A pair of designer sun glasses sat on his nose, which hid just where his eyes were. Though, he watched an elderly couple who sat by the man made pond, holding hands, and tossing bread to ducks. Love, yes. He could see, anyone could see, that those two people truly loved each other. They had probably been together for twenty plus years, and they loved each other still to that day. Sometimes Shane resented people who got to have that kind love in their life. Something that he knew he would never be capable of.
Though this was a relatively sad though, it was the truth. Shane had been in many relationships of sorts, and not a single one every worked out. It was always his fault. His infidelity, or his temper, or just him. He knew he was a lot to handle with his hard ass, spoiled white boy attitude, but Shane would never change himself. He knew who he was, and he would always be just that person and nothing more. He knew that changing would probably benefit him in many ways, be he figured why change for someone who wouldn't accept you as you truly were. He knew if he were ever to be in love it would be with someone who could accept his flaws. In doing this, he figured he would be able to stop cheating and being such a dick. Though, the not being a dick part was highly questionable. A dick was who he was, and what he had. Enough said.
As Shane sat there, a cool wind blowing over him, he glanced around. He knew something goo should have come from this little outting he had last minute planned. The birds chirped over head from their safe places in the trees, and crickets could be heard off in the distance. He had seen a couple girls from school thus far jogging down the pavement trail. Though none of them were really anyone he was interested in. He had selective taste, and that was that. Shane didn't lower his standards, ever, or his expectations from a fling, and thus far; none were standing out to him. Unfortunate.

There was an old couple throwing bread to the ducks. She sped up her pace, trying to reach them before they ran out of bread. "Hello, my name is Anna and I was just wondering if I could have a few pieces of your bread." The old couple talked with her for a few minutes, telling her she was pretty and other typical old people things. They handed her five slices of bread and wished anna a good day. Anna waved at them, wishing them a good day as well. Who knew? Anna could be sweet? Something about this place just brought that out.
Now that she had bread, Anna made her way to the edge of the lake. She sat on a rock, he legs sticking straight out, making sure no one could peak into her dress. It was then that she noticed the young, very attractive man sitting near the lake. Anna smiled quickly at him since she had already made eye contact and looked away. She went back to looking at the water. Holding out a piece of bread for the ducks, she giggle as one almost bit her finger trying to get to the bread. She gave the bread out evenly, like she did when she was a child.
Maybe that's what Anna needed, to be more innocent. Everything Anna did was the complete opposite of innocence. The way she dressed, the way she acted, the things she did. Oh well. not much she could do now, Anna was who she was. She protected herself well and she never let people hurt her. Looking over her shoulder at the boy, she smiled at him again. Now that she was done with her flash into the past, she could worry about hitting on this boy. |

A slight smile tickled at the corners of his lips as he watched a slender young woman hurry her way over to the elderly couple, collecting a few pieces of bread, before making her way down to the water line. Her black dress was a little high on her thighs which allowed him to appreciate her toned legs. He had always been big on a girl's legs. He didn't care about cup size, or how the ass looked, the legs had to be nice, and toned. That was his turn on. Oh, and shaved. He had once took a girl home before seeing her legs and had been relatively shocked when he realized she probably hadn't shaved any part of her body in months. Gross. That was not the type of girl he liked. He kept up on himself, and man-scaped frequently. He liked a girl who could also do the same, and not be lazy about herself. That was important to him.
She seemed like a sweet enough girl. Sweet girls fed ducks. Sweet girls took the time to speak to an elderly couple whose only entertainment for the day was that of feeding ducks, and speaking to those around them. Course, he figured she wasn't as sweet and innocent as her actions had been. He had yet to ever find a girl around this town that was innocent in all aspects of the word. Though, he was always on the look out for one. He liked to con a nice girl into bed with him, and then watch them melt under his touch. He had always enjoyed the look in his lovers eyes as he pleased them. Course, it was all just part of his game. His ways of getting what he needed then leaving. He was a nice man, and he wasn't one that would stay with a nice girl even if he found one. He just looked like he was a nice guy. All apart of the ploy.
Shane rose to his feet. He had watched her smile twice at him, and he peeled off his sun glasses, hanging them hap hazardously on his shirt as she strolled towards her. When he came to her side he smiled warmly at her. "Hey there. I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Shane Knight." he casually offered her his name as he stood next to her, his eyes watching the ducks that were taking the bread from between her fingers, and greedily scoffing it up. It was obvious the animals were enjoying their easy meal of the day, and so was she. She had a charming, almost childish look in her eyes of joy. He figured that it was something she use to do as a child, which was alright. It was a good conversation piece for later. Or maybe they wouldn't be talking at all later. Who knew.

Well.. Damn. He was attractive. Not just a little bit cute. He was just damn sexy. She quickly gathered her composure. She wasn't one to lose it in front of guys. She was the girl that kept her cool. That was the reason most guys wanted her; they couldn't have her. Of course, that wasn't true with all guys. There were a few she would just give it to, if asked. And then there was the one guy she had sex with out of boredom. And that did not turn out well, so that was never going to be happening again.
"Well, hello Shane Knight." she paused, studying his face and letting her eyes move down his body. "I like your glasses." Anna stood up, careful to not let her dress reveal a thing. There would be no point in him seeing it now. Even if they ended up doing anything more than talking, then it would be better if he saw that later. There had to be some mystery, otherwise she would be like every other girl. "I'm Annalise Franks. You can call me Anna." She held out her hand for him to shake and smiled warmly at him. This was all part of the game. She was the sweet girl.. until the guy had feelings for her or she had feelings for the guy.
Feelings ruined the fun, feelings ruined everything. Call her a cynic, if you want, but she'll be the one who never ends up hurt. She slowly walked past him, making her way to a bench close to the water. she smirked at him, almost daring him to follow, and sat down. She crossed one of her tanned legs over the other, in the opposite way from him.

Shane's browned eyes scanned over her once more, now that he was closer to her. He could get a better look now, and what he saw, he did like. She was a fairly attractive girl, sexy was safe to say as well. And, it was cute that she had been feeding the ducks in the pond. He had sighed softly as he waited for a response from her, which hadn't taken long as she dragged out his full name as he had introduced himself. So, she was a witty one as well, as it seemed. Her eyes were something that he was finding himself drawn to. They were bigger, but they were gorgeous eyes. They were proportioned well on her face, and they matched her hair almost identically which he found rather endearing. He liked the way she looked, it was almost a unique beauty, a beauty he normally wouldn't appreciate.
She said he liked his glasses and he chuckled softly. "Thanks." he offered her back before she offered him her hand, and her name. Shane took her hand in his and shook it gently before letting it go, her fingers gently slipping between his. He had taken note that she had been careful not to let anything show as she had gotten up in her short dress. So maybe she had some class. Maybe she would be a girl he would have to work after to get her where he wanted, her. But then there was always that chance she was just as easy as the rest, but most wouldn't have worked so much to keep their dress down, and they would have just gotten up without a care in the world, pulling a Paris Hilton. Which, obviously Anna did not. She was a little cautious. Which he didn't mind. He didn't need to see that till he got to see all of her. Preferably on his bed... just saying.
She walked past him with a taunting smile. So he turned on his heels, following her to bench, before plunking down next to her, and placing his arm along the back of the seat. "Whatcha looking at." he asked a little sarcastically, but more of in a joking manner. "I like your booties." he added as he sat their beside her. He watched the ducks waddle their ways back into the water, splashing water up as they moved quickly to the middle of the pond where they knew they were safe of taunting children and mean teenagers. "You can call me Shane, by the way. There's really no need to drag out my full name." he looked at her and offered her a smile, though it almost looked a little arrogant. Oh well.

She was right, everything was alright. Everything was always going right in her life. It didn't matter what went wrong there was always a saving grace. In this case, it was the company of a very sexy boy. The company of a sexy boy would never keep a frown on her face for long. Though he was a younger boy, he was just as sexy as the older men she was into. He looked older in the face than he probably was. And that was a huge plus.
She watched him carefully as he sat down and once he was safely seated next to her, with his arm on the back of the bench, she plucked his sunglasses from his shirt. She placed them on her face. The were a little too big, but they were nice. they were obviously designer, so he probably had money. that was also a plus. Money and looks.. Shane was proving to be sexier and sexier. "How do I look?" She tilted her head, modeling his glasses. Hopefully he wasn't psycho and would get all pissy for her taking his glasses. If so... gooooodbye sexy!
"And why does it matter what I'm looking at, sir?" She smiled at him, showing her pearly white teeth. Thank you daddy for sending me money for teeth whitening and cute clothes. When he complimented her booties, she looked down at them. "Oh. Thanks. They're new. and they're killing my feet. But I don't wear flats." She looked back up at him, finally getting a chance to study his face really good. His eyes were mesmerizing. she could have sworn she was looking at them for hours, though it was probably only a few seconds. She smiled, breaking herself out of the semi trance she was in just enough to time to hear his next statement. "Well, Shane Knight, Why would I cann you just Shane when Knight is such a nice name."
She paused, chuckling to herself. "If I were you, when I introduced myself to girls I would say 'Shane Knight, your personal Knight in shining armor.' that would open up almost any girl around here." She paused, studying his face for a few more moments. "You could get laid without even trying, just cause you got lucky with your last name."

Shane glanced around, really not looking at anything in particular. It was a relatively nice day, and he was okay with enjoying the more simple things that life could offer him. Like, the company of a beautiful girl. He sighed softly as he sat beside Anna. She had seemed like a fun girl so far, but one could never tell. 'Fun' ones sometimes turned out to be psycho stalkers with hidden baby agendas. One thing he was in no position for was a psycho stalker who wanted a friggan baby, and to get married in two point two days. He had dealt with many of these kinds of women. Once they learned of his wealth, they were all for getting into his pants, getting themselves knocked up, and trying to take him and his family for every dime they had. He was all too aware of the fact he needed to be a little more careful with who he dealt with.
She, on the other hand, looked like she was not too badly off. Her outfit was nice, looked like it may be designer but a little cheaper than what he would blow on a shirt. Though, she did make it look like a million bucks. He watched, taken slightly back by her taken his glasses and placing them onto her own face. He could not help but chuckle when she asked him how the looked, throwing out funny faces pretending to model them for him. "They look much better on you than they do on me, for sure." he laughed. His statement was all true, for he truly hated those sun glasses. Fendi. To him, Fendi was worth nothing and they were not very comfortable on him, he figured if she liked them, he wouldn't ask for them back. It would be of no loss to him anyways. He would just go buy a more comfortable pair later that fit him a little better.
He smiled at her statement and laughed slightly. "Well, aren't we just a friendly one. I was just wondering, gosh." he smirked at her and lounged back slightly, running his free hand through his muffled brown hair. It was a great thing about having short hair, you could mess with it all you wanted, and it always looked fine. He enjoyed knowing this, so he muffled it some more before looking back to her. He didn't want her to think she was all he had, because then she could get arrogant, and cocky, and he just didn't like that. Though when her next statement came he couldn't help but laugh out. He then held a straight face. "You know, this is a good idea. Lets find a girl that i could test our theory on." he smiled at her, of course he was joking about finding a random girl, though she had made an excellent point, and he should remember to try that sometime for sure. Thanks, a bunch Anna.

"I highly doubt that, but they do look pretty good on me." she bit the corner of her lip while smiling slightly at him. She turned her head, so she was look at the lake again. "I wish I could live near water. I guess I could, since we live in Flordia, but you know." she shrugged her shoulders, glancing back at him. she still wasn't sure what to think about him. He could be just like every guy, and just wanted to have sex and then never talk to her again. and as much as she wouldn't mind having some fun with him, she was sick of guys who just wanted sex.
"Me, not nice?" She scoffed jokingly and looked at him like she was offended. "How dare you suggest anything else?" She smiled at him again. What was she doing? why was she flirting with him? Anna was never one to flirt, per say. "Look, if your just looking for a girl to have sex with, I'm not that girl. You could have met me a month ago and I would have been. But not anymore, okay? So, if you want more, your welcome to follow me. If not, just keep your ass right there and do me a favor by not talking to me until you change your mind. I'm sick of guys who just want an easy lay." she paused standing up, "Also, I'm not saying I want a relationship. Because I don't. I hate relationship. But I don't want to just have sex with someone and that be it."
She turned and walked away, running a hand through her hair. It was then she realized, she still had his glasses. Oh well, she wasn't turning back now. She was already 15 feet from the lake and now she was too pissed off at life and men in general to care about a pair of sunglasses at this point in time. By this time, she was near the playground area. She stopped walking and and breathed a sigh of relief. she either dodged a bullet or found a guy who was different, even if it was a little bit. she walked towards the swings and sat on one. She kicked herself lightly so the swing swayed back and forth.

Shane smiled at her as she spoke of living near the water while her eyes studied the pond. "I live on the ocean, it's nice... but it lacks a bit of privacy." he spoke simply. It was true, people enjoyed partying at all hours on the beaches, and quite often it became quite annoying. More than once the family's butler had to call the cops on rowdy kids destroying their property and ruining dunes, which was quite an offense. He loved the smell of the ocean, and having a pool that set directly to line up with the setting sun horizon was beautiful. The fact his pool was heated and filled with salt water was even better, though it took a lot to keep up with it. He had once contemplated buying one of those dog sharks and putting in the pool just to see how his Mother would react, but of course, he had not. She probably would have had a coronary.
She then joked about him saying she wasn't being very friendly, and just as he went to reply she continued on spieling about how she did not want a relationship that only revolved around sex. She continued into saying that she use to be that way but she wasn't anymore, and that was what he wanted to keep his little ass on the bench and leave her alone. Well, guess she told him, huh? He watched as she got up and began strolling away, and he just couldn't help but look at her legs again. Damn, this girl was a sexy bitch. Sarcastic... maybe a little defensive, but sexy none the less. So there she was, just walking away and running a hand through her hair like she had be-rid of a serious problem. Hmm, she must have thought he was going to pose a threat to her plans of not sleeping around anymore... well that was just perfect for him.
After a few moments he rose from his seat slowly walking to the swings where she now was. He gave her a little push. "You know, you're awful sassy for a girl who seems to like the smaller things in life. And you know, being mean to friends isn't the way to keep friends... just saying." he laughed slightly as gave her another tiny push. She was kind of short, and he could see it was a little hard for her to get herself going. He knew that it would be a challenge, but a challenge was something he could appreciate. A challenge made it all the more worth it in the end when he got to walk away and watch 'em crumble. He wasn't different, but he would definitely be making her think he was. And that's when he would strike, with all the force he had. A great plan.

She wasn't feeling helpless in the situation with her mom and her mom's boyfriend. It would work out. she wasn't sure how, but it would. She wasn't going to be used for sex. That was working out already. She finally felt like her badass self again. She smiled to herself, telling herself she was stupid for thinking she couldn't do something alone. She always had, and she always would.
Interrupting her from her thoughts, she felt a push on her back, then Shane's voice. He had followed her. Well, that put a ripple in her plans. He was bad news. She knew it, even though she had no reasons to support it. she knew he was just like everyone else. He just wanted something from her, and the second he got it, he would be gone. She turned her head to look at him. "I don't like anything in life and I don't have friends." she stood up from the swing and turned to face him. She placed her hands on her hips. "I guess you don't know who I am. I don't have friends. I use people for what I want and you seem to be someone who uses people for what you want." She paced slowly in front of him, "I don't know about you, but I don't think 'friendships' work out between people who use other people."
She looked him over once and kept talking. "Look, I would love to mess around with you. But I know your type. I don't like your type." She met his eyes for a few seconds then walked past him to a table right behind him. "Do yourself a favor and go try for someone easier." She sat on the top of the table, looking toward the sun. Shane was going to ruin everything.

She was a feisty one, and instantly she came back at him with her come backs. She was friends with no one? She only used people? Well, at least she was brave enough to admit it. He knew he would never admit to a complete stranger that he was only looking to use and abuse. However, she did and seemed to have no problems with doing so. As a matter of fact, he had never told a single person that he only used people to get what suited him, then he would leave them in the dust. He just wasn't the type that wanted to ruin his game, or the fun he had when he did what he did. He was kind of take back by her statements, and the harsh tones in her voice, but he looked un-phased by it, though it was a little confused. She was seeming to be a big ball of unhappy nerves in a tiny body, not good.
She was now pacing in front of him, speaking once more about how people who used people could not be friends, yet he knew many people who were friends, and most of them used each other, so in that fact, she was completely wrong. He sighed, running a hand through his hair as he watched her in slight awe. She was really just letting him have it, and he could see that today probably just had not been her day. It was obvious she was probably not normally this crazy sounding, so he chose to kind of over look her apparent resentment of him. He was use to being resented, it was just how he rolled. She was no different from anyone else, everyone had bad days, and he just figured she had been having a rough one. He wasn't going to snap back at her, he just didn't have to much of a temper when it came to someone having a rough one.
He still hadn't said anything as she looked him over quickly and went on with her ranting, telling him she would love to mess with him but she just wasn't that way anymore. In his opinion, once a whore, always a whore. But that was just him. Her gorgeous eyes met his for a split second before moving away from him again to the table behind him, sitting on it, and muttering away to him. He turned looking at her, placing his hands in the pockets of his jeans. "Well, everyone needs a friend, number one. Number two, I am not looking to get laid. If I wanted to do so I would go to the nearest bar and I am sure I would accomplish my goals. I don't know what kind of guys you have dealt with, but they obviously are nothing like me, and you obviously have me pegged totally wrong, but if you want me to leave alone, by all means I will." he spoke back to her, shrugging slightly as he watched her. Studying her. He needed to learn 'her'.

"ah, see. Thats where you're wrong." She paused and stood up, walking towards him, "I don't need friends. I need people who will do what I need, when I need it." She put her hands on her hips, looking into his eyes. "Yes, you could go to the bar. But I think I'm much hotter than anyone you could get there. In fact, I'm probably the hottest girl around here." she rose her eyebrows as she spoke, becoming more angry. She wasn't angry at shane, she was just.. angry.
"Also, I'm one of the only.. clean girls around here. and that's pretty well known." She paused, walking towards him. She didn't stop until she was almost touching him. She stood on her toes to whisper in his ear, "I'm the best around here, don't forget that." She took a step back to address the rest of what he said. "I've dealt with man types. And I'm sure you're like one of them." she took his sunglasses off her head and looked at them. "Designer clothes and cocky. you're probably rich. You're hot so you're used to getting your way - that we have in common."
"I don't want you to leave." She paused looking at him, "As much as I hate it, you're probably the hottest guy around her, and I've been lacking in someone amusing." She placed his sunglasses on her face and smiled at him. she back down at the tables, "Sit down. Prove you're different." She said the last sentence quite sarcastically. she didn't for one seconds believe he was different than her mom's boyfriend or any other 'man'.
