No matter what she tried doing, she couldn't get over his appearance. sure, that had been what had first drawn her to him, but now it was more. it wasn't his personality really, it was just the way she felt around him. it was what he did to her. there weren't many people she could say she thought were beautiful, but he was one of them. He looked almost like a Greek god in this house. For once, she didn't feel like she was insanely more attractive than her partner. that made it somewhat more enjoyable.
She blinked her eyes hard as he jumped onto the counter, trying to get herself out of the trance like feeling he put her in. She walked towards him, jumping onto the counter near him, though not next to him. he didn't much seem like the touchy feely type of person, and she didn't want to push it. "Hmm.. I thinking Chinese." Chinese was probably her favorite food, save home cooked meals. Feeling a little bit awkward, mostly because she didn't know anything about what he wanted to do, she jumped off the counter and moved to the couch.
She laid down on it, closing her eyes. she glanced over at him every few seconds, just to remind her that this was real and she wasn't dreaming. She sat up quickly, turning her head to face him, "Hey shane?" she paused, giving him time to pay attention to her. "Thanks... For everything. like, letting me move in and such." she paused for another second, letting her eyes move away from him and to a painting, "and thanks for having enough respect for me to want to stop things earlier."

Shane still sat perched on the counter, which was relatively cold because granite now got much above fifty degrees in temperature, and his butt was beginning to feel this. He smiled when she walked to him jumping up on the counter next to him, but far enough away that she was not crowding his space any, not that he minded. He was the type be a little mushy and gushy after sleeping with a girl he had cared about, and yes there had been a couple of those. He wasn't all whore, he was partially a good guy, some of the time. He had been in relationships once upon a time. He just didn't like them as much as he enjoyed being able to change up his partner whenever he wanted. He didn't like being held down, and he didn't think that made him a bad person.
She spoke to him, saying she liked Chinese, which was exactly what he wanted so he didn't mind. "K, we will just get one of those dinners for four." four people sounded much but you got a bunch of different foods, and a lot of it, so that's what he wanted. He figured the stuff she liked would be in this meal, and though it was a little expensive, he loved him some chinese food. He watched as she slipped from the counter moving off to the couch and laying down on it... still a little wet... on a ten thousand dollar couch. Shane winced slightly at the thought of this, but he said nothing about it. She didn't know, and it wasn't her felt she didn't realize water on the Egyptian fabric could ruin it, he'd just buy another anyways. No big deal.
Shane smiled when he heard her call to him. And then she was thanking him again. Shane walked to where she was now on the couch and he smiled, bending down and kissing her cheek softly, brushing a few strands of her away from her face. "It's the least I can do... but I mean... I know we just had sex... but I don't want you to be mad when I have Fel over... you know... for some fun?" he spoke to her glancing away, course, he was joking, but he wanted to see the look on her face so he studied her for a moment before he cracked up laughing. "Totally kidding." he laughed some more, moving back to the kitchen to find the menu and number to his favorite joint that would deliver for him. He just hoped he hadn't insulted her with his friendly joke.

He face dropped and her brow furrowed. Thankfully, then he said he was kidding. then he walked away. How do you walk away after that? She would not allow that. "Ooooh no you don't." she stood up from the couch chasing after him. "You don't get off that easy!" She stopped once she was in front of him, placing her hand on his chest.
She stood on her toes, realizing now that she wasn't in heels, she was quite a bit short than him, and kissed his lips softly. "That was very rude, Mr Knight." She trailed her sentence off, not really worried about what she was planning on saying. she trailed her finger along his abs and over his shoulders. "Uhhh.. sorry." she had never been one for sticking around after before, and she wasn't really sure what to do. she just wanted to touch him and be near him.
she wasn't sure if this was normal or if she should be away from him. "Sooo.. the food." She walked quickly to the kitchen, keeping her eyes from him at all cost. "God, I'm sorry. I just feel really weird. I've never wanted to stick around, and I just don't know how to act, and you're just so hot, I just want to keep touching you and I don't know if thats okay. and now i'm babbling, so i'm going to shut up now." Sometimes, she wasn't as confident as she seemed. she got nervous, just like other people. she just didn't show it very often. plus, it was rare that such an occasion arose. she let her eyes meet his, a soft smile playing at her lips.

Shane was moving to the kitchen when he heard her catching up to him, standing on her tippy toes she told him he wasn't getting away with his comment that easily, then her fingers ran down his abs and he smirked at her. He had been kidding and he knew that she understood this. Shane smiled at her. So maybe it was a little rude, but it was joke, and she knew it was. It was obvious she was joking as well. It was nice to have a girl around who wasn't really afraid to joke about things, or have a little fun now and then, rather than always being serious about everything. It wasn't often that you would come upon women who could joke. Normally, any other women would have taken offense to that, and most likely would have already been on their way to the door. Not her though, instead she was there in front of him telling him what she thought.
Shane smirked at her. Rude, or not, your face was pretty funny, and really no need to be sorry." he wasn't really sure what she was sorry for, or why she was acting so shy around him all of a sudden. Course, he was just glad that he didn't feel awkward with her around now. He was also a little happy that she hadn't decided that their living situation just was not going to work after what they had been doing earlier. He had almost figured that this would be the case; her feeling awkward and want to go back to her apartment. He was happy that she didn't want to go back there. It was disgusting situation she had to deal with, and he couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she ever had to go back? Would she get hurt? Forced into sex? He didn't want to know.
Shane dug through the drawer under the counter, finally pulling out the menu for China Moon. They were just about the only place that would deliver all the way out where he was, and they had excellent food. He grasped the house phone in his hand and was about to dial the number when she began to talk. He almost laugh with the way she was going on about now knowing what it was suppose to be when she stuck around, and now knowing how to act, or what to say. When she had finished he chuckled slightly looking at her with a slightly amazed look. He wasn't sure what her issue was but he thought it was from sticking around after banging someone, pretty much she had never stuck around before. "Anna, you're doing just fine. It's not complicated. You simply talk, and eat, and have a good time. And you're doing just fine. I promise." he laughed again as he dialed the phone and ordered their meal, giving his card number over the phone and paying an extra twenty for a tip. It would be about thirty minutes or so before the food got there, and man he was starving.

Once he was done ordering the food, she moved in front of him and jumped on the counter. She grabbed his waist, pulling him closer to her. She kissed him lightly for a moment, then smiled at him. she was beyond happy right now. regardless of if anything happened for them to be more than friends, she actually had a friend. a friend who was a very good kisser at that.
"Sorry about that. I'm just.. nervous? I guess. I don't really know." She smiled at him. "Wanna lay down until the food comes?" Before he could answer, she hopped off the counter. She was exhausted. Swimming, plus the later activities had left her with no energy, especially not without food. It was a miracle she was so tiny. she ate almost constantly and never gained a pound of weight. she didn't even work out, there was no point. she would look awkward if she had muscles, and if she lost anymore weight, she would look severely anorexic.

Shane smiled feeling her arms wrapped around him as he had ordered their food. Once he was done she was quickly in front of him and up on the counter, pulling him to her and kissing him lightly. He kissed her back letting his hands rest on her waist as they did, then she pulled back. He smiled at her endearingly as she began speaking once more. He didn't understand why she kept apologizing, it wasn't like she was trying to dry hump him or anything, she was simply giving him a kiss and hugging him. She then asked if he wanted to go lay down while they waited for the food to get there, which he felt would take forever and a day, but he would just have to be patient about it, which was not something he was good at. Patience was not his middle name.
Shane smiled at her and nodded moving towards the couch. He knew this wasn't the normal thing, and he knew that he was remotely beginning to have feelings for her, but trying to understand them was relatively new to him. He had never really had to talk about his feelings before. He had always just kept them to himself, and or ignored them. He had a feeling that she was going to be the type to want to talk about them as she was probably going through the same thing as he was, which was the lack of understanding them. He had learned that talking things through normally gave you an understanding of what it was you were trying to figure out, but it also meant you had to talk to someone about them. meaning, he was probably going to be talking them over with her at some point. Excellent.

It was something she wasn't used to and something she enjoyed. While she enjoyed it, it confused the hell out of her. she had been convinced he was just using her, that she was just another challenge for him to conquer, but as the night carried on, she was beginning to believe differently. She had thought he was just like her. he just wanted to hit and run, but here he was, smiling at her like he cared, agreeing to cuddle. and there she was, smiling at him, getting butterflies, and actually wanted to cuddle with this gorgeous man standing in front of her.
When he agreed to lay down with her, she followed him to the couch and laid down. As she waited for him to lay down, she smiled widely as she studied him. they way he looked at her, that couldn't be a part of whatever act he was putting on, could it? there wasn't anyway. you could fake words, you could fake personality, but you couldn't fake what the way you looked at someone. She knew the way she was looking at him, and she didn't know how to hide it. she wasn't used to this, she wasn't used to feeling something for someone. she didn't know how to react, she didn't know what to think. Hell, she didn't even know what to say around him. every time she tried to talk, her words got jumbled in her head.
"Soo.. Shane.. Is this real?" She paused, looking him in the eyes, "I mean... the way you're looking at me says it's real. But then I just don't know." She sat up, resting her legs on top of him. she ran a hand through her hair, not sure where to go with what she was trying to say. "I really don't know how to talk about this. I don't know what to say to you at all. Every time I try to talk to you, I just forget what I was trying to say, and now I'm babbling again." She closed her mouth tightly, trying to prevent herself from talking. It took everything she had not to apologize again, knowing she had nothing to apologize for. Except maybe her words scaring him away.

Shane just wasn't a guy for feelings. He was player, plain and simple. He had been playing her from the start, making her think he was a guy who may be different. A man who would not be using her, yet that was exactly what he was doing. It was mean of him, and wrong in ways, but he wasn't, at that point, the guy who really cared if he hurt her feelings or not. He didn't care about women. They were his way of getting his rocks off, and that was the truth. He used them, then tossed them out like sunday trash. To say the least, he was a pig by all means. He had been with more women than he could count, or even try to name off for you. He could probably name off two or three including Anna, and the other two were girls he had actually been in a relationships with, beside that, he was not one with a good memory. Well, really, he didn't pay attention, and some of the time he didn't even know their names.
Shane had laid himself down on the plush, large couch and had made room for her to lay as well. He had a distinct feeling that they were not going to just be laying there, and they weren't going to be engaging in any sexual conduct either. He knew they were going to be talking, he could just read it off of her. He figured she didn't understand these things just as much as he didn't, which frustrated him slightly. He liked to understand, to know, and to be able to comprehend what was going on in certain situations, but now he was able to comprehend much of anything. He was just going with the flow of things. So maybe he did look at her a little differently than he did the others. He had never once offered for a girl to live with him, he enjoyed his freedom far too much, yet he had offered it to this one. Just another mystery in Shane's book.
When she began talking he knew this was it. She was looking him in the eyes, and then she was sitting up with her silky legs draped over him. His listened to her intently, trying not to miss a beat but the girl was talking so fast. Yup, she was blabbering again, but it was okay at least this time he didn't apologize. "Look, Anna. You were right from the beginning. I am a player, and I was trying to fool you... use you if you will. But..." he broke off, watching her facial expressions to study what she may be thinking. "You're right again. Something is different, i don't feel like using you anymore... I don't want to hurt you... I think it may be real... But you're not the only one who is not really understanding, because I am not one for feelings. But, I do feel something towards you. he stopped watching her, offering her a weak smile. He didn't know what she would say where he had admitted to trying to use her, but he hoped to god she didn't grab her bags and leave. That would not be ideal.

She stood up from where she was sitting on top of him and started to pace. she knew it, she was right. Of course she was right. "Well.. shit." She didn't know what to say once he finished talking. She had been right again. but now what did this mean? They both ran from people caring, and now they lived together. What would happen if he ran? It would devastate her. She didn't know what he would do if she started bringing guys into his house, which might happen if things got anymore serious.
She continued to pace, "We're both runners, Shane. We run when things like this happen." She paused, finally stopping and sat on the couch, facing him, "Whats going to happen when one of us runs? What happens when you start bring girls over? I have no where to go. I can't leave. I'll just have to be here and deal with it." She paused, looking at him. "What happens if I run? what happens when I bring guys over to your house? There are so many things that could go wrong with this.
She stood up again, punching him in the arm lightly, "And thats for using me."she suddenly dropping the joking look from her face. "When did you stop just wanted to use me? Please tell me it was before we had sex." It would kill her if he only realized it after they had sex, that wasn't what it had meant to her. she calmed herself down and laid next to him again. "Man, we really messed things up, didn't we?" she tilted her head up, kissing him deeply. Once she broke apart the kiss she smiled at him softly.

Yup, this was going to go over like a swear word in church, he could just tell by the look on her face. She cussed out loud. Yup, he should have just kept that part to himself. This is why he chose not to speak about his feelings because these things happened and they always messed things up. He never knew when he was just sharing too much, or he wasn't saying enough. This is what got him into trouble, and this is why he just stuck to playing girls, rather than getting into a relationship with them. Once they began talking about feelings, things just seemed to mess up for him, and he never knew what to say to fix things. It was pretty much a lost cause, and he could tell she was absolutely pissed by what he had said. Even though, he thought it was the right thing to tell her rather than to keep it from her and let her find out from someone else.
His eyes followed her as she paced, speaking again. Stating the very obvious that they both ran from emotions, but then she was sitting on the couch next to him again, going on about what would happen if one of them ran. Well, it wasn't like he could run too far. This was his home, this where he had to come every night whether he wanted to or not. It was really her that could do the running in this situation. She asked him what would happen if he brought girls home. Truth was, it was his home, and he could do it if he pleased, but he just didn't think that he would be doing that, if anything he would simply go to their place or rent a motel room if it came down to it. Now when it came to her bringing guys home, he really wouldn't care. If she didn't want to take the relationship further, as long as she stayed in her half of the house with them, everything was fine. Really.
Shane jumped slightly as she punched him in the arm, rubbing the area slightly with a soft chuckle. "I stopped using you when I went and picked you up and brought you to my house, I didn't have sex with you just to get off." he reassured her, and that was true. "I wouldn't bring girls home with you here. Now guys, if you wanna then fine, but stay on your side of the house. SImple. No harm done. You are over reacting about things again, Anna. Just relax, and let things come and go as they please. he spoke to her softly, rubbing her arm as she laid back down, place a kiss on him once more. "You just need to chill a little bit. If this comes around, we can figure it out then, kay?" he said as he rubbed her bare arm again looking up at the ceilings... Messed things up? Fucking right they might have.

"Then why did you have sex with me?" She paused, then jokingly added, "Because I only did it to get my rocks off." She smiled at him, hoping he got the joke. It was the only thing she could do right now to stay sane. she wanted this to be more, but it was a tragedy waiting to happen. It was just going to hurt one, or both, of them in the end. She might as well enjoy it while she had it. She smiled at him as he talked to her about his solution, "How do you always know what to say to make me feel better?" When he looked up at the ceiling, she climbed on top of him, looking him in the eyes.
"Promise whatever happens, I'll still have you as a friend? I know it's hard to promise, but even if we do run, I want you to be my friend." she knew it would be hard for both of them if anything bad happened with this... thing.. whatever it was. "In the meantime, since we aren't worrying about it.." she trailed her sentence off and leaned down, placing her lips on his gently. she wasn't trying to start anything, she just enjoyed kissing him. She broke away from the kiss smiling at him playfully. "So, Mr. Knight, What do we do until our food gets here?" she leaned down, kissing him once again. she was trying to get all of the negative thoughts out of her head, and it was a hard thing to do. all she could do was lay here and try to forget that he could seriously hurt her.

Shane laughed as she spoke. She was doing well at trying to relax now. He didn't want the whole thing to be stressful for her, and she knew it would just be easier if she stopped worrying and over thinking it. He found it to be rather simple. A wait and see type of game. "I slept with you because I wanted to." he laughed slightly. He smiled at her sweetly. "I know what to say because I am the friggan man." he laughed at his own words. It was true that this could wind up getting them both hurt in the end. Or it could work out fine. He wasn't sure which way it would go, but he knew that he was not going to worry himself over it. Stress would only make things worse. He didn't want her to stress, and he didn't want to stress. Simple was the way Shane liked things, and simple was how it would be or he wouldn't want any part of it.
Shane smiled as she climbed on top of him. She knew he wasn't trying to start anything again, and he was glad of that, because he really just didn't have it in him. "Of course. We will be friends either way. I wouldn't just stop being friends with you over nothing." he spoke, looking up at her from his spot below her. Shane laughed at her as she spoke, leaning down and kissing him again. He allowed himself to kiss her back till she pulled away. "I don't know... cuddle?" he said with a wink. It wouldn't be long now before he would hear the door bell ring, and it would be their yummy Chinese food. Shane pressed his lips to hers as she leaned in for another kiss. He didn't mind how she was being, he knew she just didn't truly know what they were suppose to do, and he liked kissing her. So, maybe this would work out okay.

You obviously did since you met me.. I mean.. Look at me? I'm so hot." At his next statement, Anna laughed sarcastically. "Yeah, sure. You're suuuuuch a man." She smiled at him, jokingly. Though she couldn't get her mind off what they had just talked about, and she still wasn't sure how she felt about him, much less how he felt about her, she was trying not to worry about it. she just wanted to enjoy what time she had with him, wether it be a week or a year, she just wanted to enjoy it.
Anna smiled at him, "Good. Because I like you. You're silly and you kind of rock. sometimes, you know." She moved to the side of him, leaving her legs resting on his. She trailed her fingers on his abdomen, not taking her eyes off of him. "Mmmm, I like that idea." she smiled at him, resting her head on his shoulder.
