BAILEY STERLING TYLER
seventeen, senior, straight, soft side, dare devil, chace crawford
Bailey was born to an extremely rich family with eight kids already in the family. His parents were extremely surprised when Bailey came into existence in his mother's stomach. They thought they were too old to have anymore children together. Bailey was the last son they were going to have and he wasn't well loved by his parents. They didn't feel like he was going to be a good kid and he was premature to begin with. Bailey's parents expected perfection in every minute of their lives, and they expected their children to be perfection. All of their other kids had been born on their due dates and they were all getting straight A's. Bailey was premature and close to death when he was born. They still loved him; they just favored the first eight kids that were doing perfectly and had never done a wrong.
Bailey was a rambunctious toddler. He was also very curious. He liked to know what things were and he didn't listen to his parents very well. He was slightly rebellious but he wasn't a bad kid. He was just inquisitive and had a lot of energy which got him into a lot of trouble. All of his siblings, including the girls, picked on him relentlessly because his parents gave him a lot of attention for being the youngest. They were jealous of their youngest sibling even though most of them knew that he wasn't as favored because he wasn't perfect. Bailey loved to make messes and he loved to have a good time. Sports were his favorite thing, especially soccer. Bailey loved soccer. His oldest brother, Jason, taught him the rules of soccer when Bailey was five or so. Bailey has loved it ever since. He also learned how to play basketball and football.
Bailey finally made it to elementary school and he hated school. He was a really smart kid and he understood everything when it was explained once, but he hated school. He didn't like sitting in a desk all the time and he hated school bullies. Bailey was always getting into trouble for fighting with kids at school that were picking on other kids, especially when it was a boy picking on a girl. Bailey was well-loved by the girls and most of the school rejects because Bailey was tough and he wasn't willing to stand by and watch a kid get beat up over lunch money or something stupid. Bailey was hot headed and without hesitation would punch a kid right in the nose. By the end of the first grade, he'd broken twenty-five noses and broken a young man's wrist with a wrist lock. Bailey wasn't nice to those who weren't nice.
Bailey didn't let anyone close to him, ever. He didn't do this because he was stuck up and a rich kid. Bailey didn't let anyone close because of the way his parents had raised him. He'd been told over and over again by his family that once you got close to someone, they had complete control over you and you'd do anything...Like a slave. Bailey was independent and he didn't want to be a slave to anybody. He had people that considered him their best friend but Bailey only had casual friends. He never considered anybody his best friend or even close to a close friend. They were just people he talked to at school and most of them were school rejects and girls. Boys started to pick fights with Bailey two or three at a time but Bailey never lost a fight because Bailey wasn't afraid to fight dirty - Bailey fought to win. He's still that way to this day.
He didn't have a very good relationship with his parents and he doubts he ever will. Bailey enjoyed getting his hands dirty and working with his hands. He learned from his neighbor how to fix a car by the age of twelve. He could also speak five languages by the age of ten: English, Spanish, German, French, and Norwegian. By the age thirteen he could speak: English, Spanish, German, French, Norwegian, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Greek, and Latin. Bailey loved to learn but he liked to learn on his own. He learned how to play piano and he was well above his peers in reading level and math. His neighbor, Sam, taught him a lot because Sam was a smart old man. He was Bailey's father figure most of his life. A lot of people were afraid of Sam but Bailey and Sam were best friends and Bailey thought he'd be there forever.
When Sam died, Bailey was devastated but Bailey's parents were relieved. They'd never liked Sam and they didn't appreciate that their son spent all his time with Sam even though Bailey was top of his class, earning straight A's and was extremely athletic. For some reason, Bailey's parents still looked down on him....Bailey never understood why but he finally gave up on pleasing them. He started to rebel against all of their rules. He went on a joy ride in their corvette and destroyed their car when he was thirteen. He grew his hair out and didn't keep it neat like they liked it. He wore clothes they disapproved of and he made friends with people his parents despised. Bailey was always forever grounded but he snuck out every night. He just didn't bother to follow their rules to a 'T' like he used to. He was still looked down no matter how well he did. He started to 'forget' his homework. He slowly moved down to bottom of his class even though he was still probably the smartest kid there.
Bailey's parents took him to a psychiatrist to find out what his issue was and what the rebellious behavior was all about. Bailey was misdiagnosed with ADD and they were told that he wasn't being raised properly. That made them really mad and so they gave Bailey up for adoption at the age of fourteen. A couple in Florida adopted him and he got even more rebellious. He picked up drinking and every drug he could get his hands on. He bought himself a motorcycle and got in multiple wrecks but just kept riding it recklessly. Bailey picked up playing "chicken". He'd run out in front of cars at the last minute. One time he did it on the freeway and got hit by a car going seventy mph. Bailey was hospitalized for four and a half months in a coma. The couple that had adopted him made him go to a counselor for depression.
Now Bailey still talks to a counselor once a week but he also still engages in horrible behavior. He's a really sweet kid but he feels unaccepted so he's acting out big time.
