What's up, buttercup? The name is Zane Franks and I'm a little on the wild side. And by that I mean we only live here because I fucked up, naturally, and we had to move to the next city so I could keep going to high school. You're probably wondering how I got expelled, and my friend, it's a very funny story. Actually, not really, it's pretty stupid. I'm pretty stupid, but hey, it was funny at the time. Uh, yeah, anyways, I threw a bowling ball down some stairs at school during the rush into lunch. No one got hurt, luckily, but now I'm no longer allowed in my home city's public schools and since no private school would accept me, we moved and now we're here, in Velocity.
My mom and I have been alone since I was about six. I don't really remember my dad, but I remember enough to know this: he was a dirtbag. Shortly after we got settled in, my mom contacted him - I don't know why but she did - and he told us why he left, which made no sense, but he also mentioned the other family he left. Apparently, we were his second one, and I have a half-sister that's four years older than me. I found her number in the phone-book, which I didn't know how to use but I figured it out, and... well, we're talking now. Her name is Anna, and we're kinda alike. It's pretty cool. Freaky, but cool.
So, uh, about me. I'm a nice guy. I try to be, anyways, whenever I'm not throwing bowling balls down stairs. I'm more of a class clown than anything, but I've been called cocky, dumb, an asshole, arrogant, and basically everything in the book. Maybe I'm just obnoxious, I don't know. I have ADHD, so that probably plays a part in it. I'm always getting into shit, I always have. Hence the whole expelled thing. Uh, what else... I don't really get along with my mom. She was born into pretty heavy money, but she's got a good job too, so we're financially stable.
