she looks out for herself and no one else. unless of course, its a close friend, she'd definitely have their back no matter what. she's loyal if necessary, but it isn't easy to get on her good side. she keeps people at arms length and doesn't trust easily, in fact, her inner feelings and emotions are heavily guarded. she likes people that are funny, careless, have a badass exterior, and are up for anything. she can get really possessive too, so don't ever take what she considers hers, because she will retaliate and it won't be pretty. she's extremely cruel and manipulative if someone hurts her, and she doesn't care how much worse she gets them back.
yes, she's a complete bitch and she knows it, but guess what? she doesn't give a fuck. she figures if someone is meant to be in her life, they'd stick around and deal with it. she isn't used to people being caring or loving towards her, so cruelty and disrespect is all she knows. some might think she'd judgmental , but thats only because the first time she looks at someone she knows if she's going to like them or not, and most of the time she's right.
she's blunt, flirty, impulsive and goes for what she wants. she doesn't think before she says or does anything, she just goes for it. sometimes she's a little rude, but she doesn't care, she figures everyone should just deal with it. she's also really aggressive and confrontational, so let's not piss her off, mmkay? if someone does something she doesn't like, she will gladly and quickly approach them and give them a piece of her mind. it's how she grew up and to be honest, she's glad she's like that, because everyone knows not to fuck with her.
oh, she's not all bad, she has her good qualities. if you're on her good side, you'd see them too! she's actually quite humorous and she has little quirks that are quite cute. she listens to pop songs, wears cute cartoon pajamas, and dances in her underwear when she's home alone. she knows how to keep a guy interested and she knows how to have a good time, just as long as you're not paranoid, you'll have a blast with her. she loves to party and just be out all night, in fact, she hates being home, mostly because she hates her foster family.
the only times you have to worry about her bad qualities is when you piss her off or when you first meet her. she believes that her fun and cute side should only come out to those who deserve it. she knows she's awesome and she won't hesitate to let someone know it. she isn't in to cliques or whatever, she just does what she wants that's that.
history: born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. so yes, this is where she gets most of her aggression and boldness came from. it wasn't easy living there, the streets scattered with hard ass gangs and people that mug/rape you if you're out too late. and it didn't help that josie had a drunk for a father and a crack head for a mother. they were fine when josie was first born, but as times got hard and drugs became a priority to her parents' life, she became less of importance. this was when she was about twelve. she had to take herself to school while her parents were at home wasting what little money they had on drugs.
When her mother died from an overdose when she was fourteen, her dad gave them up and started to drink more. He sometimes hit or touched Josie, which she got used to quickly. as she grew up, she got into the wrong crowds and became a strong and aggressive individual. she was always in fights and often got suspended. Sometimes, she didn't even have a real reason, she just attacked people because she was mad about her dad. One night, when she was fifteen, she actually couldn't take the abuse anymore and hit him over the head with a beer bottle, and while he was unconscious she called the police.
Child Services was called shortly after and she was sent to a foster home in Velocity, Florida. No ever wants to adopt someone at the verge of their teenage years, so she's been stuck there for 2 years so far and she hates it. Sometimes she wishes she would have just stayed in Brooklyn with her dad, despite the abuse. She's building a life here though and she's making the most of what she's got.
