Jacob Ryan Tucker was getting better. He was for reals getting better. Life was looking up for him. He still hadn't given up cutting but he no longer wanted to take himself out anymore. Partly because he was happier, but mostly because Alexa Marie Ross was fucking terrifying when she was angry. He was on the road to recovery. Kieran was backing off for some strange reason. Jacob didn't know why but it was nice to not have his little brother terrorizing him every chance he got. Maximus still wasn't talking to him but Jacob had given up on his older brother. Max was never going to talk to Jake the same, so Jakers was just going to find someone else to talk to. Alexa was always a good option. Declan was another good option. Matthias was okay sometimes, if Jacob Ryan Tucker could ever get his attention. Mattie seemed to be too busy for Jake, which was fine. He had Alexa and he had Dec most of the time. It would be nice to have more friends, but it wasn't really required. Jakers was feeling more loved than he had in a long, long, long time. He wasn't sure why he didn't see it before. Why hadn't he seen just how loved he really was before? Maybe his "blood family" didn't love him but he was learning to have a family with Alexa and her daughter. He loved Ava and would do pretty much anything for that little girl. Jacob was very much attached to Ava, even if he couldn't do a whole lot with her because of his blindness. It was hard to take care of a little tiny girl when you were six foot and blind as a bat. Jacob had decided he was going to the beach today, so here he was, with Jersey, laying in the sand. He'd gotten Matthias to bring him here even though Mattie was still upset that he'd left to live with Alexa. Jacob was sure he'd get over it but it didn't make him feel better that he'd ditched Matthias. Fortunately for his twin, Mattie had plenty of friends. Jacob had a grand total of two. That was enough for him for now. He'd love to have more and maybe he'd meet someone here but he understood that he had a lot of baggage and not a lot of people were willing to put up with that. Now that he was healing, he was trying to put the past behind him. He still had the scars on his forearms that would make it hard to forget his past but he was going to try his best. He was now going to therapy and he was happier. Jersey made things easier and so did Alexa and Declan. Jacob now felt closer to Alexa than he ever would with anybody else. She'd saved his life and now he wasn't ever going to try that again. If not for her, Jacob Ryan Tucker would no longer exist. He'd be six feet underground at this point if not for Alexa. Jacob slowly rose to his feet and Jersey led him to the water. He went about knee deep and just felt the breeze and the water surround him. He couldn't believe how precious life really was and how he shouldn't waste it, even if it was his own life. Taking a life, even if it was your own, was selfish. It was selfish and it hurt people around you, even if you felt all alone. Nobody was ever all alone. Jacob had learned that and he'd never assume that again. Alexa would always be there and he assumed Declan would be. All he had to do was get up the courage to open his mouth and talk about it. He still hadn't told anyone about getting laid by his brother and he never planned on it. He knew eventually he'd need to get it off his chest; he just didn't really trust anybody with that information. Jacob did not want that information getting spread to anyone. It was nothing against Alexa or Declan. He just....Wasn't comfortable with sharing that. Jake could feel the breeze move through his hair and he smiled. He was finally free. words ;; 713 tagged ;; open wearing ;; herenotes ;; He's finally healing. x)

There were sometimes were he felt like running. Ever since he moved here that was all he wanted to do. He didn’t belong here or anywhere in fact. He always wanted to find himself but had been struggling for so many years now. Running away from his problems and past seemed like the only way forward. He was already planning of leaving ‘home’. But right now, he hadn’t a clue where he’d stay or go to, for that matter. He thought about finishing school, but he wasn’t sure if it was worth it. He tried not to dwell on it, not right now. He needed to get out, to clear his mind.
He was sat on the windowsill, tying yet another bandage round his forearm. It had been yet another difficult night, waking up not sure how or what happened. It had been like this for a while, his nightmares could be brutal and something he didn’t utter to anyone. Pulling a hoodie over his skinny frame, he carefully jumped out of the ground floor window, not that much of a drop, thank god. Climbing outside, he wasn’t sure on where to go to be honest. It was like this most days, when he didn’t have school. He would end up aimlessly wandering, getting himself lost on the process.
His sense of direction as terrible despite living here for at least two years now. He didn’t seem to really care at all, about being here. He hated it, but then again, he would hate being in any other place, so he had reckoned. Wandering round the streets, he noticed how quiet it was today. Not a bad thing, as he just so happened to enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was a big change from Highschool that was always so busy and loud. And filled with annoyances, undoubtedly. Caleb was the type of person that struggled to make many friends. In fact, he couldn’t even think to see if he had any. He had acquaintances, but he hadn’t exactly branched out to anyone as of yet. Though it was probably a decent enough idea, given how lonely it was to be on his own half of the time.
He’d never admit it, but it definitely was. He didn’t like being alone. It truly scared him sometimes. Shuddering, he started to feel cold for some reason, as he found himself walking further and further away from the house. He was now in a part of town he didn’t recognise. Typical, but he kept walking onward regardless. He messed with his hair a bit as he walked, keeping his blue eyes forward, trying to pay some attention, otherwise he’d end up walking into a lamppost. Sounds stupid, but it wasn’t as if he hadn’t done it before. Soon enough, Caleb had vented on his way back, before taking a different turn, and onward to the local beach.
He hadn’t been there in a while, as Caleb never considered himself to be an outdoors type of person. He usually stuck to staying somewhere indoors, or rather, wandering around aimlessly. He always had something to complain about at the beach. The sand scuffing his boots or the noise of the birds above. But...it usually seemed peaceful, which seemed to outweigh the negatives right about now. Caleb wandered onto the beach, his boots trudging along the dry sand. His blue eyes searched around for any signs of life. Then he saw a boy and a dog in the not so near distance. He wandered along, curiously. Swearing he’d seen the boy before. Probably around school or something.
Caleb wandered nearer the water, getting a closer look but not wanting intrude or anything. He tilted his head slightly, before picking up a rock, skimming it into the water. It just narrowly missed the other boy. ”shit sorry!” he exclaimed, jogging into the water a little frowning as the water came up to his jeans. He quickly petted the dog. ”he yours?” he asked, stupidly. Because of course it was.
