Jacob's whole life had turned around in a matter of months. He still wasn't quite sure what to think of it all. He could see. There was so much color surrounding him that his brain almost couldn't handle it. He hadn't seen much of Declan and Alexa... She was gone. He had to live with his parents again. Kieran was dead... It was the only reason Jacob could see. Kieran, the boy who had tormented him for Jacob's entire life, was dead. He was gone forever. Jacob had cried over the loss of his brother because he didn't feel like Kieran deserved to die. It had turned out to be a suicide. Declan had been there. Jacob wasn't sure what the whole story was but he didn't care to know either. He wasn't sure how to feel about the whole Kieran situation still, even though Kieran had been gone for a couple months now. Jacob now had sight because of his brother and he was very thankful for that. He could see. His guide dog was gone though. They'd taken him away when they'd found out that Jacob could see. They'd given him to another little boy in Tampa and Jacob was glad that his guide dog could go on to help someone else but he couldn't help but miss him. Now Jacob had a pure white German Shepherd named Bolt, named after the dog in the movie Bolt. Jacob was absolutely fascinated with that movie. It was a fantastic movie. Jacob had so many opportunities now that he could see. He could drive if he wanted. He could go hike Mount Everest. Hell, he could try something as simple as skateboarding. He could walk down the street if he wanted by himself. He was slowly learning the world of electronics and he was still working on memorizing letters, numbers, and colors. Everything that everyone took for granted was a new challenge to him. Jacob didn't know if he'd ever catch up with the people that were his own age. Declan had been trying to help him but Declan was busy lately. It was okay because Jacob didn't depend on him much anymore. Jacob was just fine on his own now. Matthias was gone too. He'd moved away about the same time Alexa had. Jacob missed Alexa Ross a whole damn lot. Sometimes he had a hard time with that loss. It was unbelievable. She'd done it out of nowhere. He just couldn't believe that Alexa was leaving her girlfriend and most importantly, him behind. He'd loved Alexa's daughter but it was no matter, he'd loved Alexa. Not in as a 'I want to date you' sort of way but more of 'I'm your best friend for life' sort of way. Now Alexa was gone and Jacob didn't even know how to get a hold of her. It sucked. Jacob laid under the tree where Declan had stopped him from cutting more than he already had. Jake would forever have scars from his shoulder to his wrists from the billions of times he'd sliced through his own skin from his depression but he was healing now. He was better. Jacob could deal with the pressures of life and he was moving on from his past. Even though it felt like he didn't know anybody here anymore, he was dealing with it. He was doing so much better, even his parents weren't quite sure what to do with his happiness. He was now at peace with his life and his parents were happy about it. Jacob was the only Tucker child left in the Tucker household. Matthias was gone, all the older brothers were gone (including Maximus), and Kieran was dead. It had devastated the Tucker parents when Kieran died but they were moving on. They were just glad to have Jacob back in the house. He hadn't come back willingly because there was so many painful memories here, but he hadn't had a choice. Alexa was leaving and Jacob had had no way of supporting himself. Surprisingly, he was fine. The memories weren't that bad. Well, they were, but they didn't bother him like he had thought they would. Now... He just wanted to meet new friends. Friends were always a good thing, right? word count ;; 717 tagged ;; open ! wearing ;; click !muse ;; beauty and a beat - justin bieber notes ;; PLEASE TAKE IT.

She had always loved going to parks and relished at the opportunity. Being a child star never really warranted her the chance to do so. She was either too busy filming or she was always swamped with fans whenever she tried. Eventually she just gave up trying to go and only went to the park when it was to film a scene, which seemed to happen rarely. Now though, she didn't have to worry about it. She had given the spotlight up a long time ago. Well, a long time in Hollywood terms. Granted, she still had fans that came up to her, but ever since she stepped out of the spotlight, most seem to disappear.
As she walked further into the park, guitar case and notebook in hand, she couldn't keep the smile off of her face. It was always so peaceful at a park. Even with the noises of kids running around and yelling, it still seemed like one of the most peaceful places.
It didn't take her long to find an empty bench near a tree, offering her some shade, and she sat down. She looked around for a minute as she smiled again to herself. She opened up her guitar case and pulled it out before she opened up her notebook to the first blank page. She thought for a minute before she started to strum a few chords on her guitar. After a few minutes, she began to hum softly.
For the past few days, Rylee had the same melody stuck in her head but still had yet to find words to go with it. It was starting to get to her. While she knew eventually words would come, it frustrated her that they had yet too. It seemed that she had been constantly blocked and it had never happened to her before. She continued to strum gently at the strings on her guitar before she paused and wrote down a few words. She started to strum again and she began to sing the words she had written down. When she was done, she shrugged gently. They weren't the best that she had written, but they also weren't the worst either. They would have to do for now. And hey, at least it was something. Something was always better than nothing, way better.

Matthias had moved back in and Jacob was a little bit excited about that. His twin may look nothing like him or act anything like him but Jacob Ryan Tucker loved his brother more than anything. The two got along pretty great. He was just glad to have his brother back even though Mattie had been too busy to think about Jake. Now Jacob didn't need anyone to think about him or protect him. He'd done a lot of changing. He had muscles. He had blond hair and lots of people said he'd fit right in with the popular crowd. He'd decided on no because he now wanted to help people that were just like he had been. He wanted to help the depressed kids out and be there for people who didn't have anybody. He leaned his head back against the tree and just watched kids run around and he smiled at their laughter. It used to be that he was jealous of those kids but now the laughter was contagious. The laughter was an echo of how he felt on a regular basis. Jacob was just glad to be happy now. Jacob's favorite new hobby as of recently was drawing and coloring. He never left his pictures black and white but his parents were always worried about how unrealistic the colors were. Jacob picked bright colors that would normally clash but Matthias had said they seemed to flow the way Jacob used them. Matthias said that the colors showed how Jacob "was". It showed that he was blind before and it showed that he really appreciated colors. Jake figured Matthias had a lot of insight on things so Jacob trusted his twin's judgement for the most part. Jacob liked music but not like most people did. Most people said they could just close their eyes and forget reality when they were listening to music. Jake hadn't ever needed to close his eyes and escape reality. His way of escaping reality was slicing his wrists. Closing his eyes never had done anything for him before. Now he didn't want to close his eyes. There was so much for him to see and do. He didn't want to waste the time he had. Suddenly he heard a guitar being played and his blue eyes traveled around the park to see what was going on. He saw some random girl with... It was called blond, right? Blond hair, yeah! The girl had blond hair like he did and she was playing a guitar. He pulled himself to his feet, stumbling a little bit, and walked over to her, not shy at all. He gave her a childlike wave and said, "Hi, I'm Jacob. You're pretty good on that guitar." Jake knew when someone was actually good at playing guitar or faking being good at guitar. He'd spent so long focusing on music that he could hear the difference. In fact, his ears were so good that he could hear the difference between guitars. Every guitar sounded just a little bit different because no guitar was exactly the same. It was said only guitar players could hear it but Jake had never picked up a guitar in his life; he could still hear the difference. He played drums and Mattie played piano. word count ;; 552 ! tagged ;; rylee rae carter ! wearing ;; click !muse ;; rascal flatts ! notes ;; sorry it took so long to reply !

She continued to strum lightly at the strings on her guitar, not really paying much attention as she thought, but still able to produce a nice melody. She had always been the type of person that thought better with music playing. Music had always been her escape from the chaotic and hectic childhood she had lived. While listening to it definitely helped with her escape, when she was writing it, that is when she really allowed herself to forget everything. it allowed her to focus her mind and clear her head. To this day, it was still no different.
She had been so focused on writing and fixing the lyrics that she was writing she didn't notice when someone approached her. She jumped slightly when someone spoke to her, having been shaken out of her own bubble. She looked up to see a blond hair, blue eyed guy standing in front of her waving. She allowed her heart rate to return to normal before she addressed the boy. "Hey Jacob. My name is Rylee. It is nice to meet you," She said. She smiled when he complimented her guitar playing. "Thanks. I have been playing for a while. It would be a little sad if I wasn't at least pretty good at it by now." She gave him a small laugh as she set her guitar in its case to better address Jacob.
"Would you like to sit?" She asked him as she gestured to the open space on the bench next to her. She picked up her notebook and flipped it closed. She hoped that it wouldn't come off as rude or anything, she just didn't want him to see what she was writing. She was a bit of a perfectionist and she hated people to see her music and stuff before it was done. She always felt that in the end, it only seemed to hurt her music as she felt like it had to add up to something more.
