Katy gave him a small, sad smile though it wasn't full of pity. "I hate when money changes people," She told him. Given where Katy was from she had seen it happen too many times to count. She had seen some of her best friends change due to the influence of money. Even through all that, she had made a pact never to let money change her and so far it hadn't and she was proud of that fact. She couldn't help but shake her head lightly when Jude confirmed the fact that all his wife wanted was money and she didn't care about her kids. "Wow. That is kind of messed up. Poor Rebeccah and Jason." She couldn't really picture having a mom that didn't really care about her.

She smirked at him and nodded her head. "Yes, how could you ever forget about that?" She asked him as she shook her head lightly and made a few "tsk" noises. She smiled at him after a moment and then nodded. "Good. Do that. But only cross one set of fingers. Crossing two is bad luck."

She stopped with him at the door, unsure of where to go from here or what to do. She could feel the awkward tension between them in the air and it bothered her. She reached up and ran a hand through her hair lightly. She smiled at him when he held out his hand and she reached forward and shook it. "It was nice seeing you, Jude. Um, call me if you need anything, okay?" She said to him as she smiled lightly at him again. Without thinking about it, she leaned up on her tippy toes and kissed him lightly on his cheek. "I will see you later."

They’re good kids, I don’t know… I try to be there for them as much as I can though,” he said honestly, when his wife started to pull away from the family, jude noticed and stepped up as much as he could. ”You know, it makes it easier that you already… know my kids…” he added, even though his kids weren’t exactly aware of the fact that Jude had been somewhat… dating one of their teachers, he wasn’t even sure how they’d react. ”I’m ashamed for forgetting, I am,” he said with a smile, she loved how playful she was with him, it only made him like her more every time. ”really? I didn’t know that. But that’s good to know,” he chuckled as she walked him to the door. She took his hand and he shook her hand gently, this was the first time they had touched since he’d been there and he could already feel her warmness. He looked at their hands then up at her and nodded, ”yeah, I will. Thanks Katy,” he said with a smile. Before he knew it she had leaned up and kissed his cheek, which only made him grin more, a light blush reaching his cheeks. ”Until next time, gorgeous,” he said reaching up and touching her cheek lightly, before opening the door and leaving. tagged .
