Brady was exhausted. His parents were pushing him really, really hard in school. They were doing it more than normal as of late, and his brain just couldn't keep up with it. He was mentally unprepared to go through such a huge boot camp. Brady was also pretty much grounded for sneaking out the other night, not that his parents cared that that had lowered his stress level. Now he was more stressed than ever and he could feel himself getting depressed. Brady rarely ever sang around the house anymore and he wasn't often seen dancing unless he was at school, but even now, people were hard pressed to see him dancing anymore. He was also prone to carrying around his bullseye plush toy. People made fun of him for it but since he was usually with his four best friends, that didn't bother him - especially when Tommy started bringing around his teddy bear and Nateface started bringing his Wolfy to make him feel better about carrying Bullseye around. Brady was struggling in every single subject in school other than Drama, which was an easy class for him....Oh and choir. His teacher loved him but lately, he just wasn't in the mood to sing. His parents were exhausting him. He was just barely hangin' in there, mostly because the furious five didn't need another person that was depressed. Nateface was having a hard time.
Brady had fallen asleep in class and the teacher had woken him up, angry that he'd fallen asleep. The teacher had sent him to the library to get some studying done. He wasn't to leave until school ended which was fine; it was the last class of the day anyways. He sat down at the table and opened up his science book. He was working on homework that was supposed to be turned in today but he hadn't gotten it done. His parents were going to be pissed later but at this point, Brady Elliot Richardson didn't care. Brady was sick of trying to be the perfect son. He was sick of working his ass off daily and his parents, especially his dad, never showing him that they were proud of him. He was constantly trying to prove himself a worthy Richardson but his parents just....Pushed him too hard. He assumed they loved him but they didn't understand that he wasn't much of an academic person. He liked music and he was getting pretty famous on youtube. He just needed a partner in crime. He couldn't get on a stage by himself. So yes, Brady was musically inclined but his parents didn't want them for him. They wanted him to be a lawyer so he had to have straight a's and be the perfect student. That was getting harder and harder for him everyday, especially since he spent a lot of his homework time writing songs to sing. He had a couple duets drafted but since he had no one (yet) to duo with, those were put in a folder and left alone. He was working hard on the actual career he wanted but he was also working hard on the career he didn't want in order to fool his parents. He didn't think it was working though.

Zoey kept getting distracted, as always, the girl could never shut up and stay still for long. She had her notebook out and she started to doodle on a blank page, she was in Mr. Summers’ English class, but they were watching a movie, as always. They were watching ‘The Hunger Games’ which Zoey had already seen and whenever someone wanted to watch it again with her, she always got bored and ended up leaving the room. She had nothing against the movie, it just wasn’t imaginative or childish enough for her, she liked goofy or cartoonish things. She started drawing hearts on her paper with Nick’s name in the middle of them, smiling childishly as she did so. She didn’t know how she fell so fast for him, they had only hung out once, but he was so nice to her, she couldn’t help it. She had never gotten that type of attention from anyone before and from someone as cute as him, he was older too, which only made her feel more special.
Before she could draw her twentieth heart, her notebook was snatched from her desk, she looked up in alert and it was Nate who grabbed it. He was sitting right beside her, usually he was talking to her during these times but Mr. Summers had already told them multiple times to stop talking. ”NO! NATEFACE! GIVE IT BACK!” she grabbed it before he could see what she had drawn on her notebook, she had spoken to loud and before she knew it, Mr. Summers was approaching them, his arms placed across his chest. ’I’m not telling you again, Zoey. Out.’ he said pointing out the door, she looked up at him as she closed her notebook. She was used to being kicked out or constantly being told to be quiet by most of her teachers, as sweet as she was, she talked way too much for her own good. And it didn’t help when she had a class with someone she absolutely was crazy around. ”ONE MORE CHANCE PRETTY PLEASE MR. SU-“ she started to say but he gave her a stern look, he wasn’t normally like this, he was usually fun and down to earth, but Zoey probably annoyed him and she was aware of that.
As zoey left the classroom, shutting the door behind her, she walked down the hallways. She wasn’t sure where she was going, normally she was supposed to go to the main office, but the principal scared the bajesus out of her, so there was no way she was doing that. Mr. Summers wouldn’t check either, plus, he didn’t give her detention so she was grateful for that. She headed towards the library, maybe she could listen to her ipod or something. She wasn’t sad or anything, in fact, within seconds she started to skip down the hallways. ”ladeeda…ladeeeda” she sang lightly and walked into the library, immediately getting a ’Shhhh!’ from the librarian. She giggled a little but just went on her way, searching for a good spot to relax until school was over. Her eyes scanned the tables and her eyes widened when she spotted her older brother, just relieved to see someone she knew her. Why he was here, she wasn’t sure but she was about to find out.
She had to stop herself from calling out his name, not wanting to get kicked out of the library too. She made her way over to him and put her bag down on the table, slipping into the seat across from him. ”Psssss….brothah from the same mothahhh….” she whispered to him and reached over the table, touching his hands even though he was trying to write. ”Look. At. Me.” she giggled at her own words, ”hiiiii” she took her hands back and waved lightly. ”what are you doing here?” she asked, tilting her head slightly in curiosity.

Brady Elliot Richardson wasn't studying any better in here than he had been in class. The Library's silence always distracted him and made him feel extremely uncomfortable. He'd never enjoyed the silence of anything. He was way too musical and he'd spent too much time with the furious five to enjoy silence. The quietness of the library was murderous and it actually gave him a headache. He couldn't stand it. How did people deal with this? This was one of the reasons that Brady did not do well in a school type setting. He was easily distracted especially when Nateface was in the room. It was terrible when the Irish kid was in the room because that kid distracted everybody even the people who hated him. Brady had a hard enough time concentrating on his school work but when any of the furious five, other than Tommy, were in the room, he didn't ever pay attention. It was a good thing that Tommy was able to tutor Brady in every class he had taken.
Brady didn't even realize that he was singing Poker Face when the librarian came over and shushed him. Brady sighed and asked, "May I ask why it is so important that I be quiet? There is nobody here but you and I!" The librarian just stared at him like a creeper and slowly put a finger to her lips. It kind of reminded him of the horror movies that Nateface made him watch on a regular basis. He shuddered a bit and she grinned a creepy smile. No wonder Nateface didn't like her very much. Brady had never understood who could be afraid of a librarian but he decided that Nate had a valid reason to be afraid of her. She was creepy as hell. He got up and walked around the library, looking for an interesting book. He went straight to the music section and found some book on John Lennon, one of his inspirations. He had a lot of musical inspirations but John Lennon was one of his favorites when it came to his inspirations. He looked at the other books around the John Lennon one but didn't see anything that really caught his eye so he went back to his table and flipped through his book, bored out of his mind.
There weren't very many pictures in this book... Lame. He found a really awesome one in the back of the book and looked up to see if anybody was looking. He checked one more time before slowly ripping the page out and shoving it in his backpack. He started randomly writing words on the page, looking more guilty than he was innocent, but he was trying his best. Brady Elliot Richardson was not the best of actors but he tried anyways. Suddenly, there was a hand touching his, and he jumped a mile in the air. He looked up, expecting to be yelled at for ripping a page out of the John Lennon book but saw Zoey waving at him. "Hi Zoey. What the heck are you doing here?" He frowned and looked at her, answering her question, "What do you think? I got yelled at and sent down here for not paying attention... In fact, I was sleeping. I've been really tired lately for some reason." Brady was still looking nervously around the library for the scary librarian. "I'll bet Nate got you sent down here, didn't he? At this rate, you're not going to be on mom OR dad's good side and they're going to make sure Nate can't talk to you.... You guys need to chill for a couple weeks or somethin'."

Zoey looked at her brother expectantly, waiting to hear about why he was in there, she figured he was in there for a similar reason she was, but she didn’t want to jump to conclusions. She placed her hands in her lap and jumped in her seat a little, she was like a ball of energy that just couldn’t stay in one place for too long or it’d just explode. She was trying her best not to go into one of her hyper fits, it was always easier when her brother was in front of her, he was the person she had known that longest in her life and he always knew how to calm her. ”Mr. Summers kicked me out for being too loud,” she explained, ”but I was quiet, I swear, I only yelled because nate took my notebook,” she shrugged, wondering if Nate had seen all the doodles in her notebook. He already told her his opinion of Nick, which still saddened her, despite how grateful she was for his concern. It reminded her that she had to ask Brady about what Nate had said, but she could save it for later, she wanted to see why her brother was in there first.
Zoey frowned a bit at his response, ”well, you have been staying out late a lot lately… what do you even do?” she asked. She noticed him sneaking out and being out late, but she always covered for him if necessary. He didn’t ask her to, but she did anyways, mainly because she didn’t want him getting into trouble. She rose a brow, noticing how nervous he looked, was he okay? ”What? No. nate didn’t send me… what’s going on Brady?” she asked curiously, ”is everything okay?”. She wasn’t sure what he was going on about, but her energy level definitely decreased and her concern level had grown. ”did nate do something?” she asked confused, she couldn’t imagine nate doing anything to hurt brady in any sense. Why the heck did brady mention their parents?

Brady Elliot Richardson never thought he'd see himself getting in the drug scene. He never saw himself hanging around Edward Desdemona even though Nateface did. He never saw himself being addicted to Heroin so quickly. He'd just wanted weed to spite his parents but then Eddie got him hooked on Heroin and he'd even tried Cocaine. He liked Cocaine a whole lot but it was hard to get his hands on. Eddie had gotten him hooked on all kinds of things, but Heroin was the one thing that Brady felt like he absolutely needed. Even now, he could feel the addiction clawing at him. He wanted it in all hours of the day, and as of right now, he was out. He was supposed to meet Eddie to get some more. Brady had used the rest of it up this morning. "Why was he taking your notebook? You guys were goofing off again, weren't you?" He was tired of it. Nate was always carefully watching Brady and he was getting tired of covering his tracks, especially since Nate and Eddie were close friends.
Brady's fists clenched at her question. It was none of her business and he didn't want her getting involved. He'd rather have Nateface involved in his business than Zoey. She was innocent and he wanted to keep it that way, another reason he had hard feelings toward Nate. The main reason was Nate was watching him like a hawk. He didn't need Nate getting involved. He was out to spite his parents and sure, it had gone a little far, but he was happy enough. Brady wasn't seeing the harm these drugs were causing him. Brady just saw a good hype and the fact that he got to go against his parents for once. They'd never caught him sneaking out which meant he was getting pretty boss at it. "Why the fuck does it matter? I'm a teenager. I'm allowed to want to stay out late, okay? It's none of your business." Brady wasn't exactly pleased with Zoey. Sure, he'd been covering for her but she was dating a complete and utter asshole named Nickolas Hale.
Nick went out of his way to pick on the furious five, but his favorite target within the group was Brady. He wasn't sure how that made sense if he wanted to keep Zoey but apparently nobody was telling Zoey what the hell was going down. Brady didn't want to tell Zoey because he was trying to let her be happy and make her own mistakes. He wanted so desperately to keep Zoey out of harm's way but he knew he wasn't her parent... He was her brother and he could only be there when Nick broke her heart. Right now, he just didn't have the patience for Nick and he didn't have the heart to tell Zoey that Nick was a complete asshole. He'd told the rest of the furious five to not say a word either... But Nateface was god awful at keeping secrets so he'd probably told Zoey right away. Brady was going to be mad if Nate did though. He wanted Zoey to be able to do her own thing, without worrying about her brother. It was not Zoey's job to worry about him... It was his job to worry about her.
"Everything's FINE. Why do you guys keep asking me that? You guys have been on my ass about that. Everything's grand. Okay? It's not your job to worry about me... I'll worry about me and you'll worry about you and your stupid hello kitty stuffed animals, okay? Quit asking me that." He looked at her carefully. His brain wasn't reacting to the situation like he wanted but Brady felt like he wasn't in control of himself. His fists clenched together and he shook his head somewhat rapidly. Brady didn't want Zoey to play the parent role. He didn't want the furious five, especially Nateface, to find out that he was in the drug scene. He just wanted to keep that little part a secret. He was doing it because his parents would hate it. He felt free when he was on the drugs. "Nate's trying to be my dad and it's fucking annoying. He's obnoxious and it grates on my nerves."

Zoey frowned at Brady’s accusations, ”no… he just.. took it, I don’t know,” she replied in a low tone. Why was Brady being so aggressive towards her? She didn’t get it, plus, when did her and Nate’s actions ever concern him? She kept her eyes on him, he seemed off, as he did the last few days, which was starting to scare her. She wasn’t sure what was going on with him but she was determined to find out what it was. She jumped a bit at his words and a shocked expression appeared on her face, ”okay…” she responded, she had never made her brother made before and she wasn’t sure what she did to upset him now, but she didn’t want to continue.
Zoey tried to think back on anything she could have possibly done to hurt her brother but nothing came to mind and that only made her feel worse. She bit her lip as Brady went on, ”i… but you’re my big brother… it is my job to worry about you…” she replied in a soft tone as tears started to build in her eyes.”okay,” she squeaked as tears started to fall, the ’you and your stupid hello kitty stuffed animals’ hitting her like a ton of bricks. She looked down at her hands, she didn’t mean to offend him, but did he have to retaliate at her like that? ”I’m sorry…” she wiped her eyes and avoided his eye contact as she sniffled. ”nate just… cares about you…” she defended her favorite blonde irish boy, ”whats…” she began to ask, but decided not to, afraid that brady would only yell at her again.

Brady was losing his sense of feeling. All he felt was anger and irritation towards his little sister. He was losing his sense of self. He couldn't control his emotions anymore and it felt like he was watching a movie as his sister fell apart in front of his eyes at his aggression. Brady was causing it but he couldn't stop himself from continuing on. "Of course he did. He can't control himself. Damn it! I'm sick of him getting you in fucking trouble all the time." He wanted to recoil at his own words. He felt sick saying them. Brady Elliot Richardson loved Zoey and he felt like he'd do anything for her. So why was he being so cruel to her? What was wrong with him? He felt a severe lack of control which only made him angrier, and more irritable. It was a vicious cycle and a cycle that he couldn't stop. He couldn't stop it in its tracks. "Great. I'm glad you're learning how to stay out of my business. It's good for you to keep your nose where it doesn't belong. God damn."
His green eyes traveled right into hers. His rational side was gone. All that was left was anger. Irritation. Unhappiness. There was another emotion there that was hard to see past the anger and that emotion was depression. Sadness. It was just hard to see for anybody. All anybody saw was anger. Nobody bothered to look past that which was just fine with him. He didn't want anybody to see it. Brady didn't want people in his business. He just wanted to keep doing his drugs in peace, even though he was causing a fight. He didn't know how to stop himself. He was being downright cruel to the one person that was always on his side. Would she be on his side after this? He doubted it. "No. It's not your job to worry about me. It's my job to worry about you. I can take care of myself. Got it? Understand? Don't worry about me. I'll be FINE." He said it rudely, practically growling through his teeth.
Brady watched the tears well up in her eyes and was appalled when he felt a small victory. What the fuck was going on? Why couldn't he just give her a hug and apologize profusely? Why was he being so horrible to her? "Is okay the only fucking word you know?" Now he was making fun of her. Great. What was his problem? He was going to hear about this big time from Nate... And probably the rest of the furious five. He was definitely going to hear about it from Nate because Nate was like... Her best buddy, and that kid wasn't afraid to get in people's faces. Whatever. Brady could just punch him. Nate wasn't a fighter, neither was Brady, but Brady felt like he could take the short Irish kid. "You should be. You should be sorry, damn it." He turned away, trying not to fall apart in front of her. Truth be told, Brady was scared. He didn't know what to do anymore. He needed help but he didn't want to ask for it. "He needs to stop caring. I'm not worth caring about. I don't care anymore." His fists clenched in anger again.
Brady's green eyes looked at her again. "What?" He snapped. "What were you gonna say?"

Zoey frowned and shook her head, ”it’s not like that… he doesn’t mean to… and it’s not even all the time, really, don’t be mad at him,” she said in a worried tone. She never saw Nate in that light, it was always both of them getting each other into trouble. Plus, she loved causing chaos with him, it was always fun. She never saw the harm in it, plus, it made class more fun. She looked down at her hands as he spoke, she hated the way he was speaking to her but she didn’t have it in her to retaliate in the same manner. She could never even imagine herself talking to Brady in that way, they were always pretty good siblings to one another. She had always felt safe with him, no matter what, but right now, she was feeling the exact opposite. She sort of wished that one of the other boys were here so that she could run to them for a hug or something.
She flinched at his words and looked back up at him, this wasn’t the brother she had always loved and adored, this was someone else and she could see it in his eyes. She didn’t want to say or do, but stay quiet and take everything he was dishing at her. He was her older brother and she was the little sister, she had to obey and just take it. ”I-I… I understand…” she nodded sadly, looking like a child getting into trouble with their parents. She knew he wouldn’t be fine, he wasn’t fine, but what could she do? She wiped her eyes and sniffled again, she tried not to repeat the word ‘okay’ again. When he turned away, she looked back down at her hands and closed her eyes. She was sorry, she didn’t know what she had done to make him so angry with her, but she’d take it back in a second.
”Yes you are.. we all care about you.” she muttered. She looked back up and opened her eyes when he asked what she was going to say, now instead of sadness, fear had came into her eyes. She stayed quiet for a second and just stared at him, scared she might just say the wrong thing. ”Nothing,” she shook her head. WORDS:387 TAGGED: brady NOTES: (:

Brady's fists clenched. He was just so angry. He couldn't calm down. "I can be mad at him if I damn well want to be mad at him. I'm sick of getting yelled at, and watching you get yelled at, by mom and dad because he can't stand to just work well in class. He distracts us both and I'm fucking SICK of it." He practically growled through his teeth. He was sick of Nate. He was sick of getting yelled at because Nate was talking to him. He was tired. He was just tired of getting yelled at and he wanted to blame someone other than his parents. Brady was just trying to look perfect in their eyes. He just wanted to be up to par and he felt that Nate was getting in the way of that... And he was trying to save Zoey from the same fate as himself. His parents still loved her even if they hated him.
Brady still didn't understand why he was taking his anger out on Zoey. She was usually the last person ever that he'd lose his temper with. He never wanted to hurt her but it seemed with every lash that came out of his mouth, he felt victorious. It seemed that he was in a battle and he felt the need to destroy the opponent but since he couldn't find the real opponent, he'd just take it out on whoever was in his way. Zoey just happened to be in the line of fire and now Brady was taking it out on her. He felt bad almost immediately but he couldn't bring himself to stop. He couldn't stop in his tracks like he wanted to. "Took you fucking long enough." A feeling came up that he couldn't shake. His brain kept telling him to smack her. He didn't want to do that.
He had enough control for that. He would not hit his own little sister. That was not fucking okay. Neither was him yelling at her but if he hit her, there would be no getting her back. Brady had his doubts on getting her back anyways. He shook his head, "No. I want you to stop caring about me. I'm not worth caring about, all right?" He was still yelling. He was still being a douche. The librarian came over and ssh'd him and then saw Zoey. Zoey was in tears and she looked accusingly at Brady, then back to Zoey. "Are you okay sweetie? Is he bothering you?" The librarian then turned her gaze to Brady and gave him a hard look. "I think it's time you leave the library son. What's the matter with you, yelling at a sweet little girl like herself? Just leave her alone." Brady's fists clenched and he gave Zoey a dirty look like it was her fault he'd screamed and gotten in trouble.
"Fine, whatever." He started to grab his stuff but as he slowly started to walk away, the realization of how absolutely cruel he'd been hit him. He whispered so only Zoey could hear, "I'm sorry." Then slowly started towards the door so that he could just leave. So that he didn't have to look in Zoey's eyes anymore.
