It had been a few weeks since prom, Josie was now a senior and in a relationship, which she didn’t think she’d be in anytime soon. She normally didn’t like to be tied down, but hypocritically she didn’t like other people touching things, well people, who she saw belonged to her. For weeks, she had been trying to push back her feelings she was starting to get for Ryder, mostly because he wasn’t her usual type, at all. He had always been a pain in the ass and a bit annoying, but it all grew on her, the more time she spent with him. Why she found herself spending so much time with him, she wasn’t really sure or maybe it was because he wouldn’t go away, either way, she was glad he stuck around.
They had finally crossed that line, from friends to an actual couple, Josie wasn’t fond of the idea at first, but the moment the two finally kissed for the first time gave her a run for her money. Ryder was definitely not what she expected but that was Josie for you, always quick to judge someone, never really giving people a chance. Ryder pretty much demanded a chance though; he was like an annoying little fly that just wouldn’t go away. His persistence started to get cute though and Josie started to get to know him more, and it definitely helped that he was extremely attractive. It sucked that he was heading into college now though so she wouldn’t see him as much as she would if he was still going to her school, but at least he didn’t go far away for college, right?
It was summer vacation but Ryder wanted to get prepared for the college lacrosse team so he and some of his lacrosse had planned to play a game at the park just for fun. Josie had agreed to go, even though she really didn’t want to sit out in the hot sun for over an hour. She knew she couldn’t reject going to his games all the time plus, she did want to see him play more. He looked even better when he played plus she liked how aggressive he got; it’s what made her jump his bones the first time they slept together. His game hadn’t started so she had got there just in time to say hello to him, she looked through the many faces to spot him. The other players must have invited a bunch of people to watch too, because there were a few fellow classmates, some not, that were in the audience as well.
Josie had spotted him within minutes and made her way over to him, interrupting his conversation with his friend without hesitation. ”hey,” she said touching his arm lightly and pulling him towards her, ”see? I’m here, told you I wasn’t just saying I’d come to shut you up,” she teased and wrapped her arms around his neck comfortably. ”I’d wish you good luck, but you’ll only tell me, you don’t need it,” she chuckled and kissed him quickly, pulling away, retrieving her arms back slowly. She saw the players being called in and knew it was time to let him run along, ”Go get’m,” she patted his chest as she nudged him lightly in the other direction.

Ryder Jason Grey was physically exhuasted. This week, he'd been gone four out of five days of the school week for Rugby. His dad was pushing the team really hard and now Ryder was super sore. He'd had to stay up late every night while on vacation doing homework that he was going to missing in class while he was gone. His dad was pushing hard and Ryder was willing to step into the hard ass playing but he was just tired. He got up and stretched, easily touching the ceiling. Ryder was a huge kid and that made him one of the best players, especially since he was fast too. It also made him pretty good at lacrosse. A lot of people didn't stay in his way when he was charging at them. Being 6'7 and 255 pounds gave him a lot of advantages in that respect. He got up on his pull up bar and busted thirty of them before going to shower. He didn't stay in the shower long, just long enough to become clean. Then he got dressed in his lacrosse gear. He headed into the kitchen and chowed down. Ryder was always hungry but that was because he was so active and on top of that, he was a teenage boy.
Ryder was playing a lacrosse game at the park today to prepare for college. It was summer vacation for now but it wouldn't last forever and he didn't want to get rusty on his game. He preferred Rugby over lacrosse but he enjoyed lacrosse too. Ryder was just able to get more aggressive with Rugby, which his most recent girlfriend seemed to find sexy as hell. It was a good thing. It had taken Ryder forever to get Jocelyn to trust him. After a while, they'd become friends and it was sad to say that Josie had had to put up with Isaac. Ryder sometimes had the urge to beat the living shit out of his little brother but he didn't dare. He knew it was the wrong thing to do and he didn't want to break the trust his little brother had for him. So he just let Josie rough him up when he "wasn't looking". Despite how annoying his little brother could be, Ryder would do anything for the kid. He'd take care of his brother if needed.
Ryder got in his truck and drove down to the park. He didn't feel like walking and plus, he wanted to leave Isaac behind. The kid wanted to go to his games but Ryder didn't want him bugging Josie. Ryder didn't really think Josie was actually going to come but he could always hope, right? He knew she wasn't a fan of sitting in the hot sun for an hour to an hour and a half, but it was always appreciated when she came to his games. He parked his truck and grabbed his lacrosse stick and lacrosse ball so he could get warmed up with the team... He was passing the ball back and forth and he went to grab a drink of water before the game started. Suddenly, he'd been touched and he turned around, seeing his girl. He smiled widely and replied, "Hey beautiful." Ryder wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back lightly. He grinned and replied, "I don't need it and you know it."
He heard his coach yelling and he looked at her, looking for dismissal. As soon as she gave him the word, he took off and started talking to the coach. They talked plays and Ryder was, of course, one of the starters. He ran out to the middle of the field and the game began.

Josie smiled back at him happily, she hated how easily he made her smile now, but she secretly enjoyed it too. Finally, she had found someone that was willing to fight for her and deal with her shit. She knew she wasn’t easy to like, hell, she made it extremely hard for people in general to like her, but for some reason he stuck around and she was more than happy that he did. It showed her that he was worth it and that she was stupid if she managed to let him go. She chuckled lightly and rolled her eyes at his words, it was strange how well she knew him already. Even when she was trying to dislike him, she was subconsciously putting some of his qualities or quirks into her memory bank. She had never really gotten to know a guy before, at least not like this, she was always in it for the sex mostly, but Ryder was different. He was good for her, even if she didn’t want to face that right now, she knew deep down he was. He was probably too good for her to be quite honest, but she chose not to think about that. She was too selfish to let him go be with someone better for him
She slipped her hands into her jean pockets and made her way to where everyone else seemed to have gotten comfortable. This wasn’t how she expected to spend some of her summer vacation, but, she wasn’t going to start complaining. She knew it meant something to Ryder for her to be there and she didn’t want him to think that she didn’t care. She had always lived her life being selfish, so this was new for her, but she felt that she was doing better than expected. She ran a hand through her hair and groaned as she started to already feel the heat from the sun, she really did hate the heat, and it always made her bitchier and more easily irritated than usual.
She watched the game, even though she had no idea what the hell was going on, she wasn’t too educated on the rules of it all, but Ryder had been slowly teaching her. I say ‘slowly’ because she often got too bored of the topic and just distracted him. She knew she’d get it eventually, but for now, she just wasn’t interested. She smiled and internally clapped whenever Ryder did something great, like make a goal or rough house another player from the opposing team. She was never one to cheer for anyone, especially not out loud; she sort of found it cheesy and annoying. Whenever Ryder looked at her though, she made sure to smile or give him a thumbs up in support, hoping no one witnessed the exchange. Throughout the game, she had actually started to enjoy herself, sort of getting more of a hang of everything. She was paying more attention than she expected she’d be, starting to realize some of the rules and terms of the sport. Throughout the game, she kept hearing an annoying voice nearby. It was a female that used the term ‘like’ and ‘omg’ way too much whenever she spoke a simple sentence. Those types of girls always annoyed Josie and she usually said something to shut them up, but she didn’t want to cause a scene, not now at Ryder’s game. She was starting to control herself more, especially because she didn’t like to embarrass her boyfriend, she knew how impulsive and irrational she could be at times, but it wasn’t her fault she had a bit of an anger issue.
The annoying girl kept talking about how hot one of the lacrosse players were, but she never pinpointed who she was exactly talking about. Josie tried to ignore it, but it wasn’t easy, considering her boyfriend was the hottest piece of ass on the field. She wasn’t going to jump to conclusions though; it was a part of her new control thing. It was finally the end of the game but she didn’t move just yet, wanting to give Ryder his space and time to relax and chat with his friends before stealing him away. She pulled her cell out to see who had texted her, she had a text from her foster brother, which she ignored, he always randomly texted her shit, he was so fucking weird.
She heard the annoying girl voice from earlier even louder this time, since the female and her friend were walking past her, ’I’m going to hit on him, he’s soooooooo hot…. He even drinks water hot’ she heard her say. Josie looked up just to see who the hell she was talking about and was slightly confused on how someone could drink water ‘hot’. She looked over the players and saw two of them drinking water, one being Ryder, then looked back at the girl to see who the hell she was eyeing down and it was none other than Ryder, which didn’t exactly please Josie.
Before the girl could even be halfway to Ryder, Josie stood up and spoke, ”Hey,” she tapped the girl on the shoulder lightly, ”Ca-uuuuuuuute top! Where’d you get it?” she said in her best fake interested voice ever. The girl turned her attention on her along with her friend with an even more annoying grin on her face, ’Really?! I got it fro-‘, she started to reply but before she could continue Josie had already swung at her at full strength capacity, causing the girl to fall on her ass. Josie was always a lot stronger than she looked and her anger problem never helped. The girls friend looked at her in disbelief and Josie glared at her, ”What? I can hit you too if you want!?” she yelled, feeling a pair of hands pull her away from the scene. But that didn’t stop her from glaring at the girl on the floor, ”Keep your eyes to yourself, bitch!” she yelled, her possessive self taking over.

Ryder loved sports in general. He was quite the nerdy jock. Josie still teased him for it but he just brushed it off. She just had this thing where she gave everybody crap, and sometimes people got offended but he never had. He had Isaac around to teach him not to get offended. That kid was annoying and Josie agreed. Most people agreed that Isaac Daniel Grey was annoying as hell. Ryder kept checking on his girl every five minutes as he played. He usually got cat calls, like most of the players, and he didn't want Josie getting upset. He knew she had anger issues but it didn't bother him. It just made him more wary around other girls. He'd seen what she'd done to Derek Angel when Derek had "stolen" Xander. Ryder still didn't understand why she'd gotten laid by Xander. That kid was creepy as hell and grumpy as shit. Plus, he probably had nothing going for him. Then again, most of Jocelyn's friends were just like that too. They had no future, were grumpy as shit, and most of them were druggies. Jocelyn wasn't like that. She was just a badass... So he wasn't sure what to make of that. Maybe she just liked to have friends she was above. That Sebastien kid seemed to do whatever she wanted.
Ryder needed to talk to some of his friends. It'd been a while and he was kind of out of the loop. He was finally in college and living his dream. He was kind of reconsidering the whole law thing, even though it wasn't bad. It wasn't even hard for him, he just wasn't enjoying it as much as he wanted to be enjoying his future job. For now, he was sticking with law because he didn't want to just change it up. He was going to stick it out and at least get his Bachelor's before deciding whether he was going to switch. He wanted to finish what he started. He bumped into another player, letting some shit go. He didn't have a rough life but it always felt good to hit something as a boy. It was a masculinity complex that most, if not all, men had. Even girls had that complex, just not as often, unless you were talking about Jocelyn Vixx. She was crazy and loved to hit people. She hit Ryder on a regular basis and she had a solid punch. It didn't hurt him that much but she had left a couple bruises here and there playing slugbug. It was good to know that she was independent and could take care of herself. He wouldn't ever have to take care of her, he didn't think.
Finally the game ended, and he headed over to get a drink of water with Vince Waters. Vince was a good player but he'd just started this year. The team was still trying to get to know his habits and he was trying to figure out how the team worked together. Ryder had confidence that Vince would get it pretty quickly and would rise up to one of the most valuable players on the team. Ryder was mostly valuable because he was huge and intimidated the other team's players big time. They'd won this game because when Ryder stepped up, none of the other team's players had been willing to challenge his size. Suddenly he heard girl's screaming and looked over. There was a girl on her ass, in front of Josie of course, and the girl on the ground and what appeared to be the girl's friend were both freaking out. Josie was doing a lot of yelling. Ryder jogged over lazily. He stepped behind Josie and pulled her back. His deep voice said, "What's going on? Josie, why is she on her ass?" Still hanging on to Josie and pushing her back, he helped the girl up.

Josie was the most possessive person you could ever meet or interact with; she didn’t like people prowling on what was hers. And she wasn’t afraid to make it known either, so I wasn’t a surprise that she had attacked the first girl that had even thought of making an attempt on her man. As confident as she was about herself, she still had a possessive and anger issue when it came to girls checking out her boyfriend. Her glare never left the girl and her friend, even If she was being pulled away, she seriously wasn’t playing with the girl. ”The bitch was practically raping you with her eyes, that’s why… she’s lucky I didn’t scratch her eyes out,” she groaned and reached to attack the girl again but was obviously held back.
She threatened the girl’s friend with an extra forceful nudge, just to keep her away and scare her a bit which worked successfully. She let Ryder bring her back a few paces but remained glaring at both girls. She looked at him accusingly as he helped the other girl up and glares at him. ”Seriously?” she pushed him away from her, ”do you want her? You do, don’t you?” she shoved him roughly.
