It was finally Friday night, the day Oliver had been waiting for since he first met the beautiful blonde he was taking out tonight. He was such a sucker for girls sometimes and he was very much aware of it, but so far, Maddie didn’t seem to mind it. He didn’t know as well as he’d want to, but then again, he had only had two conversations with her. He was excited for tonight though and the fact that she wanted to go eat before the party, so that they could talk some more, only assured him that she was interested in him as well. He had never really asked girls out the first time he met them, but there was something about her. He gave himself one last look at his reflection before heading out of his dorm room, he thought he looked rather good, he was always good at being well dressed. Sure, he had expensive taste, but the boy could afford it.
He hopped into his vehicle and pulled out his cell phone to souble check the address Maddie had texted him just hours before, he had looked it up when she first sent it so he knew where he was headed without getting lost. That would be embarrassing if he was late to pick her up just because he couldn’t follow mapquest directions. Luckily, he had navigation on his cell phone, so hopefully it was going to be on its best behavior and not turn him into another direction. He placed his cell down when he figured he got the jist of the short journey memorized and headed towards her place. She didn’t live far from the campus, so that was a relief, especially since he’d have to drive her back home after the party.
He was at her place within minutes, but because he was a gentleman, he wasn’t going to honk or text her that he was outside, that was just rude in his books. He was going to court her from the door and to the car. He parked right in front and got out of the vehicle, running a hand through his hair as he walked up to her door. It was smart of her to stay living at home while she went to school, living on campus wasn’t cheap. The only reason why he had chose to live on campus was because he wanted to get the entire college experience, plus, he wanted to separate himself from his own parents. He loved them, but he really didn’t want to deal with them while attending college, it was just easier for him. He knocked on her door lightly and took a step back, slipping his hands into his pockets as he waited patiently.

SHE COULD BE A JOAN OF ARC It was about an hour before Oliver was supposed to pick her up to go out, something she had felt terrible about before a few hours ago. Her now exboyfriend had confessed to sleeping with someone else. He didn't tell her who or why and frankly, Maddie didn't give a crap. He didn't want to make it a big deal and neither did she. Honestly, it was to the point where she was just over all of it. It was such a big deal when she did it but when he did it, he made her feel like he did it because of something that she did. It obviously couldn't have been anything she did; she had been the perfect girlfriend since they had gotten back together. If you forget about her date that she planned before they had broken up, of course.
There was also the issue about her lying to Oliver about being a college student when in fact, she was still an underclassman in high school. It wasn't the first time that she had lied about her age but somehow, she felt worse about this one. Maybe it was because Oliver was so nice to her but she shoved the thought out of her mind, not wanting to think about it. She honestly just wanted to hang out with someone who was more on her level. While she did care about Zane, all he cared about were video games and sports. She shrugged the thought of him out of her mind and went to her closet, picking out the perfect outfit for the night.
She got ready with half an hour to spare so she headed downstairs, flipping through the channels on the TV before she decided to watch a rerun of Say Yes to the Dress. She sat down on the couch, getting comfortable and zoned out on the television, only half watching. She only snapped out of her daydreams when she heard the soft knock on the door. She stood up, rushing to the door before her sister could get there and grinned at him, "Hey." Her face brightened and her smile grew as she stepped out, closing the door behind her. "How are you?"

Oliver waited patiently outside, letting his eyes wonder the look of her house, it seemed nice and cozy. He looked in the driveway, only seeing one car in it, it made him wonder who else was home. Would he even meet any of her family members? Did she have siblings? A pet? He wasn’t sure why he was so interested, but then again, he just wanted to know more things about her. Whenever he met someone, he always liked to learn as much as he could, because you never know what you could learn. Plus, people walk in and out of your life every day, what if you found the person that was meant to stay a while longer? To him, everyone and everything had a purpose in life, what that purpose was, you had to figure out for yourself.
Her door finally opened and interrupted his thoughts slightly, but he didn’t mind one bit. A smile instantly reached his face at the sight of her, ”Hey, there she is,” he said his eyes never leaving hers, he was good at keeping eye contact. He took a step back and looked her over a little; unable to prevent himself from checking her out, the girl was beyond beautiful. ”I’m good, even better now that you’re with me, and you?” he asked offering her his arm, so he could walk her to the car properly. ”you look really great, by the way,” he added as he walked her towards his car and took out his car keys with his free hand, unlocking it with a touch of a button.
He hadn’t been on a date in awhile, but he wasn’t a stranger to them. He was just too busy with school recently, but he was glad he finally had some down time to take a girl out, especially this one. When they got to the passenger side, ”pardon me,” he said reaching over and opening the door for her, ”ma lady,” he added, just to make her laugh and he held out his hand so he can help her inside. He waited patiently until she was all the way in before closing the door and walking over to the driver’s side and getting in.
