Dean had been spending a lot of time with Zoey as of late and he felt like he was neglecting all his other friends. Granted, since Zoey was part of the same group of friends as him, it was easier to hang out with both, but whenever they were with the rest of Heaven's Seven, he felt like he was still ignoring them. For him, this didn't really sit well. His friends meant the world to him and he missed them. He had made a pact to himself that he would spend more time with them, whether individually or as a group, it didn't matter to them.
Today he had made plans to hang out with Nate. While Brady had been on drugs and detoxing, the two of them had gotten closer. In fact, it was almost safe to say that Nate was pretty much Dean's best friend, well at least tied with Brady for that position. He would never admit this though since he knew that it would hurt Brady and that was the last thing that he wanted to do.
He was supposed to meet Nate downtown at the sports store in the mall. While the sports store wasn't really Nate's scene, in fact, it wasn't really any of the Heaven's Seven's scene besides Dean's, Dean needed to get some new running shoes. Anyone who knew him knew that he was an avid runner and ran everyday and his shoes were starting to wear thin on the bottom. He hoped it wouldn't take him long as he was sure that Nate wouldn't want to spend his whole day here. In fact, he knew that was true.
They were supposed to meet here, get Dean some new shoes, and then go and have fun. He wasn't exactly sure what the two would do, but he knew that no matter what, they would have fun. Nate was a fun person naturally, and while Dean didn't show it sometimes, when he was with his friends, he was just as wild.

Nate woke up that morning and jumped out of bed excitedly. Today he got the opportunity to hang out with Dean one on one. He always enjoyed days out with just one on one time with his group of friends. Nate had found that Heaven's Seven were the most famous group of friends. Sure there were people that were just as famous for just being two best friends, like James and Anna or Declan and Anna, but as far as a big group of friends, Heaven's Seven came out on top. Everybody knew about them and some even assumed that Heaven's Seven was strictly exclusive, but in reality, the boys (and Zoey) were always willing to add another member to the group. Hell, Nathan had a bunch of friends outside Heaven's Seven but for whatever reason, people insisted that he was just part of Heaven's Seven and that his six best friends were the only people he'd hang out with. Sure, that was true as of recently but hell, Tommy had been kidnapped, Brady had been cussing left and right at everybody, and Zoey and Dean had just recently gotten together. Nate figured he had every right to just be hanging with Heaven's Seven. There was always so much going on with Heaven's Seven. Today, Nathan was going to meet Dean at the sports store so that Dean could get some new running shoes. Nate had always wanted to play sports and be an avid athlete like Dean, but his Tourettes prevented him from doing so. He had yet to tell Dean about Tourettes. In fact, Jackson was still the only one outside of the family that knew about his Tourettes. He had yet to tell anybody else, including Zoey. Nate had always viewed Zoey Richardson as his little sister, because Charlotte was kind of a pain in the ass. Zoey was cute and enjoyed the things that Nathan did, like Despicable Me! Nathan got off his bed and immediately got dressed, excited for his day of fun with Dean James Torres. He loved that kid and while Brady went off his rocker, Nathan and Dean had become super close. They now had a secret bromance but since neither of them wanted to hurt Brady's feelings, neither of them said anything about their bromance. They pretty much just kept it private. Nate was finally dressed after struggling with his twitchy muscles and he headed down the hall to his kitchen. He ate an hour long breakfast and then had his mom drive him downtown. Nate had been given about a hundred dollars to blow off on whatever he wanted. It was one of the reasons he loved his parents. They just gave him money and told him to have fun with it. First thing he bought as he waited for Dean? More food. Nathaniel Quentin O'Keefe definitely loved food. He waited outside the front of the Sports Store and ate his breakfast burrito from McDonald's that was like a thirty second walk across the parking lot away from the Sports Store. He sat in the middle of the walkway and stuffed his face. Nathan looked up and saw Dean just as he was finishing his burrito. He jumped up and tackled Dino, laughing, "HI DEAN! Ready to go shopping for some cutsie running shoes? You should get pink. Only tough guys wear pink." Nate stung his tongue out playfully. word count ;; 572 ! tagged ;; dean james torres ! wearing ;; click !muse ;; just dance - lady gaga ! notes ;; yay, I love these two !

As Dean approached the sports store he saw Nate sitting at a bench in front of it, eating a burrito. He couldn't help but laugh lightly to himself. It seemed that every time he saw Nate, it seemed like he was always eating. Still, he never seemed to gain a pound from all that he ate. He finished his approach just as he saw Nate finish his burrito and look up. He was slightly startled as Nate jumped up from his seat and attacked him with a hug. While he didn't lose his footing like he had with Brady in the park, it still caught him a little off guard.
Once he recovered, he smiled at Nate. "People have got to stop projectile missiling themselves on me," he said with laughter in his voice, hugging Nate back for a minute before pulling away. "But hey, Nate. How is it going?" He nodded at Nate's questions. "Yes, I am ready to go shopping for some new running shoes. However, I was thinking more of getting bright green ones. They usually don't have pink shoes in my size." He laughed when Nate stuck his tongue out at him. "But you are right. Only tough guys wear pink. So maybe if they have pink ones, I will think about it."
He smiled at Nate for a moment. "Well, let's go," He said as he began to walk towards the store. "The sooner we get my shoes, the faster we can go out and do things that we both want to do. And cause a little chaos in the process." He smirked lightly at his friend. He knew that together they had the potential to get into some trouble, though they both knew how far was far enough so it was never any serious trouble.

Nathaniel Quentin O'Keefe was always eating. It was a never ending thing and it seemed to everybody else that Nate was a bottomless pit when it came to his stomach. Nate didn't disagree. He just had a strong fascination with food and he couldn't help but just eat constantly. Food was fantastic and it never ditched him. Food never went away. Neither did his friends, but that was besides the point. He laughed at Dean, when he realized he'd caught his friend off guard. It was one thing Nate was pretty good at doing, catching people off guard. It was one of his favorite past times. He jumped up and down on the balls of his feet and his arm jerked a bit. His friends were used to his jerky muscles and generally didn't even notice them anymore. Jackson usually gave him a knowing look when he twitched, but that was because Jackson knew about his Tourettes. None of the rest of Fate's Eight knew about it. Nathan grinned back and bounced up and down still. He was so hyper already and they hadn't even done anything, other than Nate tackling Dean. "Or maybe you should just get better at catching us. I heard all about you almost losing your footing with Brady! I still find it funny that you had to save him from ten year olds." Nate laughed and was able to stop bouncing long enough to give Dean a hug. As soon as he was freed from Dean's arms, he was back to bouncing like a madman. "It's going goooooood. I'm hyper today. Really fucking hyper. And hungry. But I'm always hungry so don't worry about it." Nate checked that his wallet was still in his pocket because he had thought about going running. It might tire his muscles out enough that he'd twitch less because he hated the twitching. He always noticed when he twitched and it always irritated him. Running might help with that. "I'll bet we can find some in your size. I'm getting shoes too sooooo... We'll find you a pair." Nathan winked and looked at the doors. Nate grinned back at Dean's laughter and replied, "If I do find some in your size, you have to get them, not just think about it!" He was teasing of course. Dean could get whatever color he wanted. In fact, Nate probably wasn't going to get pink shoes. He was probably going to invest in green shoes or something similar. Nathan wasn't fond of pink like Brady was. "Onward, to the store!" He skipped a little in his step and then just kind of bounced. As soon as they were in the store, Nate laughed at the expression on the sales' guy's face. He looked terrified that Nate was going to cause chaos in this store... And the sales' guy was probably correct in that assumption. Nate caused chaos wherever he went. "I'll bet we can find fun things to do here, like scare the living shit out of that sales guy that is already terrified." Nate grinned and looked around. Ah ha. The skateboards. Those were always fun to try to ride. word count ;; 531 ! tagged ;; dean james torres ! wearing ;; click !muse ;; turn up the music - chris brown ! notes ;; dean should get used to getting tackled !

Dean sighed gently when Nate told him that he had heard all about his near fall with Brady. "That best friend of mine is going to get murdered," He said, putting on his best lethal face and failing miserably. Truth be told, he didn't really mind. Things like that happened and the important thing was being able to laugh about it in the end. "And yeah. It was pretty funny. Apparently those ten year olds were sharks." He laughed lightly at the reminder of that day. He shook his head lightly as he laughed. "When aren't you hyper, Nate? And you are always hungry. That is no surprise. You should just start carrying tons of food with you." He laughed lightly and shrugged. "Maybe. What kind of shoes are you going to get?"
Dean laughed again. "I have to get them? What happened to my freedom of choice?" He asked as he smiled at Nate. He laughed again when he heard Nate say onward to the store and shook his head slightly. It was such a Nate thing to say. He nodded. "Yes, let's go," he replied and began to follow him to the sports store.
When they entered the store, Dean noticed the terrified store clerk. He couldn't help but think that he was right to be terrified, especially with him and Nate here. "I am sure we could get into some major trouble here. But I say we get shoes first before we 'accidentally' get kicked out for goofing off." He knew that whatever him and Nate decided to do in here, it would wreak havoc and most likely get them kicked out. It had happened before and it probably wouldn't be the last time it happened either. All of Fate's Eight were known to get into trouble every once in a while, wether as a whole group or in pairs. Mayhem seemed to follow them where ever they went and for the most part, they all relished in it.
