Caspian Everett Harper liked Velocity so far. He was kind of scared of one of his foster sisters but he didn’t think she would actually hurt him. Cas just tried to stay out of her way because he didn’t want to anger his new foster sister, Jocelyn Vixx. He didn’t want to be a pain to any of his family but since he was scared of Jocelyn, he was going out of his way to not bug her. The first thing Caspian had done upon getting to Velocity was get into some of the sports. He was on soccer, football, and lacrosse. Lacrosse was, by far, his favorite one so far. It was a tough sport but he definitely enjoyed it. He was excited to get better at that sport so that he could be captain his senior year. He had a game today and coach had promised to put him on the field to see if he could play well under pressure. Caspian was pretty good at it during practice, seeming to be a natural, but coach wanted to see if he could play under pressure. So he was going to get to play a couple minutes at the very least. If he played well, he’d get to play more than that. Caspian was excited for the prospect. Last game he’d been benched because he was new and had never played before. Not this time, no way. He was going to get to play. He grabbed his lacrosse bag and put his jersey on. He grabbed his lacrosse stick and went outside, having his other foster brother, Seth, throw to him back and forth. Seth didn’t play lacrosse at all but he was always willing to play catch with Caspian. The two got along pretty darn well.
It was time to go to the game so Caspian walked over to the school. It was a home game which made the prospect even more exciting. He got there just in time to get the inspirational speech that coach gave every game. It was in a coach’s job description after all. Caspian sat on the sidelines next to Ryder Grey, the biggest kid Caspian had ever seen in his whole life. The kid was tall, and he was freakin’ buff. Caspian was just glad Ryder and him were on the same team rather than opposing. Cas would never want to get through a human of that mass. Ryder wasn’t even scary though; the guy was super nice but man, to the opposing team, the kid probably looked terrifying. Caspian watched the starters start the game and he looked over. The girl’s lacrosse team were here too. He asked Ryder, “Why are they here?” Ryder responded, “They just had their game and a lot of them stayed behind to watch the boys play.” Caspian nodded, understanding that. If he’d come earlier, he could see the girls play. He heard they were a pretty wicked team, despite not having a lot of members. He guessed a lot of girls just didn’t want to play a tough as nails sport. His attention returned to coach after he heard his name being yelled and Caspian jumped up, ready to play. He was pushed in and suddenly everything was crazy.
The boys weren’t nice in this sport at all, especially the opposing team. The opposing team tripped a few people on Caspian’s team but the refs didn’t seem to be seeing anything. They ignored everything. He could hear his teammates swearing and any time they tripped opposing players, they were called out on it by the refs. Frustration went high but Caspian Everett Harper wasn’t about to let a few cheaters or biased refs kill his mood. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through his system and he smiled happily. Suddenly the small lacrosse ball was thrown at him and he put his stick up in the air and caught it. He started cradling it as he ran across the field and just as he was about to attempt to throw the ball in the goal, a bigger boy from the other team slammed into his right shoulder. Caspian felt a popping in his shoulder as he fell to the ground, flat on his back. He felt instant burning in his shoulder and he rolled onto his left one so that no weight was on his right one. The refs halted the game and Caspian was pulled to his feet by Ryder. Ryder said, “Something’s wrong with your shoulder.” Caspian frowned and looked at it. It looked…Unnatural. It wasn’t set how it was supposed to be. What the hell? Then he remembered… A dislocation. Those hurt. He started to freak out, dancing around the field, cradling his right arm. Ouch ouch ouch.

Alana loved game days, always had, whether it was her own or not. Even if she hadn’t played on that particular day, she still went to some of the other sport games. She loved sports and was probably one of the very few females that did. She only played Lacrosse and Softball though; Lacrosse was her favorite, mainly because she got to hit people. She wasn’t a violent person but she liked to be active and aggressive, plus Lacrosse was an excellent stress release. She wasn’t like other girls, obviously, she wasn’t into the more girly things in life, like her sister, who was a cheerleader. She had nothing against girly things, they just weren’t her thing. It was funny how different she was from her older sister, but she liked it that way. It was like their parents got the best of both worlds. As most would expect them to not get along, based on whom they hung out with and their personality types, they actually got along really well. They had each other’s backs no matter what and their arguments were nothing more than your typical sibling debacle.
There Alana sat on the bleachers with a few of her teammates, her hair still damp from the shower she just took in the girls’ locker room. She always showered after a game, she played pretty hard and always ended up with grass and dirt stains all over her uniform, elbows, and knees. She didn’t bother on heading home to do that, nope, especially when there was a game after her teams. Today it was the boys lacrosse, she had seen a few of their games already, and she had to admit she had a few favorites. She actually secretly wished that they would just make the lacrosse teams coed, even though she knew that they’d never do it. She could see herself playing with them, even if most of them were bigger than her, but she was much stronger than she looked, plus, sometimes the girls were too flimsy and weak.
She was one of those people that watched sports games and screamed at the players/referees/coaches, though they probably couldn’t hear her or bothered to pay mind to her. She did it even at home, whenever she watched games on television with her dad or a friend. She just always got so into games, she couldn’t help it though. ”Come on, Ref!!” she groaned as she noticed for the fourth time one of the opposing players tripping one of First Colonials players. ”This is ridiculous,” she muttered under her breathe to herself, shaking her head, her eyes still on the game. She noticed a new player joining the field, she had seen him on the bench the last time, but had never seen him actually play. She was well aware of all the players, hell, she was friends with most of them, plus, when you were a fan, you knew the players by their names. It was funny because sometimes when she saw certain people outside of the game; she still called them by their last name.
She watched, her eyes darting to wherever the ball was, and then it went to the new kid. She had been wondering if he was any good, he started to head towards the goal and with that, she started to raise in her seat slowly, prepared to cheer if he made it. Before he even got to the goal, he was slammed by a bigger player from the other team and she instantly winced, knowing that must have hurt really bad. ”Ouch,” she covered her mouth and laughed a little, only because she loved how more aggressive the boys were. The game was stopped for a bit as the boy remained on the floor, he looked like he was struggling too. Ryder, or ‘Grey’ as Alana usually called him, helped the boy up.
Before she knew it, he began to freak out as he cradled his arm. She frowned and squinted a bit as he came closer towards the coach, she was at the bottom bleacher so she was close by and could see from where she was that his shoulder was out of place. She looked to see where the ref was, or a coach, or the school nurse, but no one was really paying attention. The other boys on the team were just looking at the kid like idiots, she even heard a few, ’aahh that looks like it hurts’ and ’Groossss…what the fuck is wrong with your shoulder?’. She rolled her eyes and pushed herself off of the bleachers, not even telling her friends where she was headed. These boys act like they’ve never had or seen a dislocated shoulder before.
Alana pushed through the group of boys, some making a face at her or left with a confused expression on their face. ”Move, move… excuse me…move,” she said as she made her way through them and held her hands up as if she was surrendering, walking closer to the boy. ”Dude, calm down,” she said finally getting to him, ”relax,” she said about to touch his shoulder. It was actually kind of cute how freaked out he was, plus, she had always seen him from afar, so it was nice to see what he actually looked like up close. He had to be new because she hadn’t really seen him a lot and she went to most of the lacrosse games, and she had only seen him at the most recent ones. ”Hey look, is that Obama?” she pointed in the opposite direction to distract him and when she saw that he was distracted, she quickly took a hold of his arm and shoulder, popping it back into place. She had dislocated her shoulder once or twice before, plus, she grew up with pure male cousins, so she had helped and watched them pop their shoulders back into place as well. ”Sorry… try to move it now”, she directed him as she stepped back.

So maybe Caspian wasn't the tough guy type. Who cared? Lots of his guy friends (which wasn't that plentiful) gave him a lot of crap for it. He just didn't care. He had a six pack and he considered it to be very good looking. He didn't think he was the best looking guy out there, but he considered himself above average. He had his shortcomings but he was above average. For one, Caspian was too short... And his hair laid funny. He didn't like either of those things about them but he was mostly insecure about his height. He didn't like that he was so short but he didn't dwell on it... Right now, he was dwelling on the pain in his shoulder. It was a ridiculous amount of pain and he just couldn't even handle it. He wanted to cry it hurt so bad but he didn't dare in front of the guys. He was already called Tinkerbell by a lot of the guys. It wasn't a nickname he appreciated and there was no way that he was going to encourage the name.
Caspian sat down on the bench, still cradling his arm. He was waiting for the other team to get at least a penalty, if not a red card, but the refs called it an accident. Nothing for the other team. They didn't even get a penalty. He frowned unhappily and wanted to throw something in frustration. Grey laughed and said, "It's okay Tinkerbell. Toughen up and deal with it. Life ain't fair." Caspian frowned at the nickname. He hated it. Ryder walked off, not able to deal with the unnatural position that Caspian's shoulder was in; however, the coach came over but as soon as he started reaching for Cas's shoulder, Caspian jumped up and backed away. No one but a doctor was going to touch his shoulder. His coach kept pleading with him but Cas said, "I'll wait for a doctor. I don't want you to mess it up!" He was slowly panicking more and more. Why didn't they have a doctor on hand like usual?
Caspian saw a girl push through his teammates and he backed up, even as he saw her hands up in surrender. He was out to attack his shoulder and mess it up too, he was sure of it.. Though girls didn't know about that stuff usually. He spoke softly, "How does one not freak out when they're shoulder looks like it should've fallen off?" He frowned unhappily. He cradled it closer, taking another step back away. He didn't want anyone near him except the doctor. What was taking so long? The coach was arguing with the ref, every once in a while looking back at Caspian. His eyes wandered back to the girl standing in front of him and suddenly she asked if Obama was over there. His attention swiveled to where she was pointing and she snapped his shoulder. He felt it pop and he looked back at her with a surprised, shocked, and slightly upset expression. Caspian's jaw dropped and he just stared at her for a moment, as did the rest of the team. Even the coach was looking at her.
"Why did you do that?" He glared at her, but he wasn't really angry. He was more upset that she had been able to distract him with something as stupid as Obama. Plus, Caspian's pride was a little bit hurt, mostly because he'd been injured in his first game. He looked at her and said, "Thanks... The name's Harper... Caspian Harper." He smiled, introducing himself like James Bond. He rolled his shoulder, able to move it even though it ached a little bit. The coach came over and said, "You let her do it but not me? The fuck is your problem?" Caspian winced at the word 'fuck', almost recoiling away from the word. "I didn't let her... She just caught me off guard." Coach shook his head, mostly at Caspian's recoil from the 'f' bomb. Caspian was not fond of cussing and refused to do any kind of it.

Alana was used to just handling things on her own, she was independent and she wasn’t afraid of most things. She saw a kid in need of shoulder replacement and she thought she’d do him a favor by helping him out. It wasn’t like anyone else was doing anything about it and the kid seemed like he would freak out until someone fixed it and there were not doctors around so she took it up on herself to do it for him. It wasn’t hard and this wasn’t the first time she had helped someone with a dislocated shoulder. She stepped back when she saw the look on his face, feeling a little bad. She always forgot how embarrassing it was for a girl to help a boy out, especially around a group of jocks, she bit her lip. She couldn’t help it though, she saw an issue she could assist with and she did. ”I was just…. Helping…” she replied, hoping she didn’t make him mad. ”you had a dislocated shoulder, they’re not hard to reposition back in place,” she gave a light shrug, ”sorry?” she offered, just in case an apology was in order.
She cracked a smile when he introduced himself and grinned, ”nice to meet you mister harper,” she played along and chuckled. ”Caspian, eh? That’s an awesome fucking name. reminds me of those Narnia movies… you know, with the prince Caspian dude… you look more like a prince than he does though,” she gave a shrug, ”I’m Alana,” she said introducing herself. They were interrupted by the coach and she bit her lip again, feeling bad again for just helping herself in helping Caspian. She nodded in agreement, ”yeah, he’s right… I distracted him and… just did it,” she said simply to the coach. She looked back at Caspian, ”it feels okay though, right?” she asked, just to make sure.
The coach groaned and walked off, obviously still mad, but Alana didn’t really care. A bruise to the guy’s ego was the least of her problems, so she turned back to Caspian and sat down beside him on the bleacher. ”you need to be more aware of your surroundings when you’re heading for the goal. It was your first game, huh? You got too excited,” she shrugged, ”next time… look around, be aware,” she smiled a little. She touched her forehead and shook her head, ”Sorry, I don’t mean to… um, just forget it… I just…” she sighed a little, she had a tendency to make boys feel less manly, even when she didn’t mean to. She knew that giving him advice on his game play wasn’t the way to go right now, so she stopped herself. ”I’m on the girls lacrosse team,” she explained, so that he knew she knew what she was talking about. ”you’re new, right?” she asked, hoping to change the awkward tension.

Caspian Everett Harper was a very dependent kid. He depended on other people and he wasn't real self sufficient. He wasn't helpless but when it came to injuries, they generally just made him sick. Injuries and sick people made him recoil and just want to throw up. For that reason, Cas would never be a doctor or a vet. He just could not deal with sick people. He was a slight...Okay major germaphobe. He disliked germs and sick people were full of them. He was still curious as to why there was no doctor on hand. He brushed off the dirt from his lacrosse uniform. He was still upset with this girl for putting his shoulder back in place, not because it had hurt but he didn't need any more reasons for them to be calling him Tinkerbell. It was the most embarrassing nickname in the whole wide world, but if he was honest with himself, it was probably a fitting nickname. "... It's okay. I'm just a little surprised and to be quite frank, I didn't think girls were like... Into that. Plus, that gave them even more reason to call me Tinkerbell." He smiled shyly, blushing that he'd even bothered to tell her his embarrassing nickname. He usually kept that to himself so nobody else could make fun of him. She would probably laugh at him, but whatever... Everybody did.
Caspian grinned back and replied, "Nice to meet you too!" He said it in a sweet voice, a child-like voice. Cas was very child-like sounding except when he was singing. He loved to sing, it was one of his favorite past times. He also played the ukulele but he was more of a singer. A lot of girls had gone weak in the knees for him but he wasn't interested in very many of them. They didn't want to be with him, for him. The girls that he had met that wanted to be with him, wanted him for his voice... Once they found out how very soft and child-like he was, they ditched him. No girl wanted a boy that was soft or girly like he was. He winced and recoiled from her f-bomb even though it wasn't her yelling. He just could not stand cussing but he'd never ask someone to change how they talk, so he'd always just recoil from it. "That's what my mom named me after. That's why my name is Caspian! And uh... Thanks?" He blushed bright red at the compliment. "That's a pretty name!" He grinned happily. He liked Alana, even if she did scare him a whole lot. She was too tough for her own good.
Cas saw the coach walk off groaning and he smiled. "Yeah, it feels great. Thanks!" He smiled again and though he hadn't shown it earlier, her putting his shoulder back into place had been appreciated. He still would have preferred a doctor do it but beggars can't be choosers, right? Plus it felt like his regular shoulder again, so she must've done it right. "Yeah it was my first game and I tend to get excited. I can't focus on more than one thing like a girl can." He grinned, winking at her. It was a true story, most girls could multi-task better than any guy. Caspian was especially horrible at multitasking unless he was screaming and running away from a bee flying in his face or some person throwing a worm at him. Worms were gross. "It's okay! Criticism is good! Don't worry about it. Sir Tinkerbell is not offended." He gave her his crooked grin. He wasn't too worried about it. He did need to practice his awareness and he could definitely use the help. Maybe she and him could practice together? "Yeah? Maybe we can practice together sometimes?"
Cas smiled. Suddenly there was a buzzing sound right next to his ear and he looked backward and saw a bee. He gave quite the girlish scream and jumped up, slapping at the bee. It kept buzzing around his head and he slapped at it some more until it finally flew off. Caspian turned a bright shade of red and proceeded to answer her question, trying to pretend nothing had just happened, "Um yeah. I'm new. I live with Jocelyn Vixx's foster parents. They're my foster parents too now."

Alana did feel bad, she had a tendency to act on impulse rather than thinking about certain things she did. She saw someone in need and helped him, it was as simple as that, she didn’t really think about how it would look to outsiders. She looked at her hands for a moment then back at him, ”most aren’t,” she shrugged, ”but I’m not most girls,” she said simply. It was true, she wasn’t like most girls at all, she was quite the tomboy and she loved it. It was funny seeing her stand beside her sister, you wouldn’t think they were related if you saw how their personalities worked. They were completely different, but they got along rather well.
She had to stop herself from laughing when he mentioned that they called him Tinkerbell, it was a funny nickname, but she held in her laugh. She felt even worse now though, he had a point, she had given them another reason to call him Tinkerbell. ”again, I’m sorry… maybe you can… flip it on them somehow…” she shrugged a bit as she thought of how he could do that. ”ooo, maybe work on your speed, tinkerbell flew, right? Fly through everyone on the field and score the goal,” she shrugged, ”and then when they’re all in shock you can turn around and yell ‘I bet you wish you had some of this pixie dust now’” she chuckled, attempting to make him laugh. She could be such a dork sometimes, and she had quite the imagination.
She loved how animated he seemed, she could see that he was very childlike and she had to admit, it was amusing. She smiled wide when he said that his mom named him after Prince Caspian, that was pretty awesome of her. She wished her mom did something like that, maybe name her after someone awesome and in an adventure movie, but no, she didn’t. ”Oh, that’s awesome!” she exclaimed in response, ”thanks, I guess so, ‘Alana’ means ‘precious’, but if you ask me, I look nothing like her,” she shook her head, still kidding around. She was a big time joker, no matter if she had just met someone. She could just hope he would get the reference, but who didn’t know who Precious was? It was blown up almost everywhere when the movie came out.
Alana grinned when he confirmed that his shoulder was alright, she knew it would be but she was glad that he could see that she knew what she was doing. ”you’re welcome,” she nodded and touched the back of her beanie, to make sure it was still in place. She laughed a little at his words, ”well you did good, until that last hit… you’re quick,” she nodded. She chuckled at his Sir Tinkerbell comment, ”well good,” she smiled at him. ”I just really love sports and I always have to give people tips, I don’t know why,” she shrugged. ”Yeah, I’m down. I can definitely show you a thing or two,” she nudged him lightly, just teasing him a bit. ”kidding, but yeah, I’d love to practice with you sometime, we can work on using your speed as a weapon,” she smiled.
”here,” she pulled her cell phone out of her pocket about to give it to him to put his number in but he had let out a girlish scream and she saw him jump up and swat at a bee buzzing around him. She couldn’t help but laugh, this guy was definitely accident prone and he obviously had a fear of bugs and insects. She found it amusing though, ”you know, the more movement you make, the more likely it’ll sting you,” she chuckled, ”my grandma once told me that if you hold your breath around a bee, you close your pores and are still, so it won’t sting you, I don’t know if its true, but I’ve never been stung,” she shrugged and handed him her cell phone. ”Put your number in, so I can text you sometime so we can practice,” she said casually, she made friends with boys so easily, if only girls could be this easy.
”you live in a foster home?” she asked, tilting her head a bit, she didn’t expect that, but she thought it was kinda cool that he was okay with telling people that. ”well, welcome to velocity,” she shrugged a bit, ”Jocelyn? I know her, she’s funny,” she nodded. She knew Josie, a lot of students were afraid of the blonde, but not Alana, which was probably why they got along. She wanted to ask if Josie picked on him, but she knew the answer to that, Caspian seemed a little feminine and if she knew Josie, she wouldn’t hesitate to be blunt about certain things. Alana didn’t mind though, she found it cute how childish and girly he was so far, ”you like it here so far?” she asked.

Caspian wasn't embarrassed for long. He got over stuff quickly because he just wasn't good at holding grudges. Plus, they might never talk again after this... Which was sad because so far Caspian really liked Alana. She seemed like a fun person to be around even if she did just pop his shoulder back into place like a badass. Most badass people were scary to Caspian but she didn't seem too scary. "I can see that." He stuck his tongue out on impulse, childishly. "Just warning you now, I'm not like most guys either." Cas raised his brow, teasing her, but being honest. He was not Mr. Macho and he didn't care to be. He didn't need to be the biggest or the baddest. In fact, he wanted to be opposite of that: sweetest.
Caspian looked at her and a confused expression came up. Wow, she was just as crazy as he was, even if she did seem badass at first. Cas didn't doubt that she was still a badass but she wasn't quite as intimidating to him anymore, which was good. He smiled and shook his head. "Maybe that'll work. Doubt it though. I'll survive with the nickname. I'm almost out of high school anyways and then I'm going to work on getting signed to a record deal. Who needs to be macho when you're famous?" He grinned, teasingly. He wanted to be famous, not because he wanted money or attention, but because he wanted to help more people believe in themselves. Cas wanted to help people reach for the stars and follow their dreams. He wanted to inspire people into action.
Caspian had always been called 'prince' by his mom but he didn't like that. He didn't expect other people to call him that... He was apparently his mom's prince but she was gone now. Caspian looked over at her and laughed, "No, you look nothing like Precious. But your personality is precious." Then he realized what he had just said and immediately burned red. How embarrassing. No wonder people told him he was socially awkward sometimes, because he was. He'd just met the girl, how could he know anything about her? Jeez. He peeked up just a bit to see her reaction but he didn't look up far enough to see her face. He was scared of what she might think. Wasn't that kind of creepy of him to say such things right off the bat? Maybe he could just play it that he was a flirty douche. Or just flirty. Ugh.
Caspian grinned back at her. They seemed to hit off pretty well. He half smiled and replied, "Well, I'm kind of small compared to everybody, especially Ryder, so I have to have something.... Like speed." He shrugged halfheartedly. Ryder was huge and intimidating. Caspian would not want to be playing rugby against Ryder. That kid was fucking huge and Caspian was just glad he never had to play against him. Ryder was quite the asset when it came to striking fear in the other team. Caspian knew now that Ryder was a complete teddy bear and sweetheart but at first, he was probably the most intimidating player. "Tips are a great thing to get. It improves my game and that's all that matters to me. I don't have an ego, like most guys. As said. I'm not like most guys." It was true. He was always proving it he seemed but he was definitely more feminine that masculine. It didn't bother him. "That'd be great!"
The bee noises scared him worse than ever. He continued to freak out and girlish screams continued. The team was laughing at him and so was Alana but he didn't care. Bees were fucking scary and their stings hurt worse than ever. The stings weren't the worst part. The fact that they were ugly and had more than four legs just creeped him out. "The stings don't bother me as much as the fact they are ugly and have more than four legs." A sad face came up and he looked around warily for the bee. He disliked any creepy crawlies. Caspian Harper took a hold of her phone and typed in his number and for his name, he typed "Cas Harper <3". Hopefully she wouldn't take that weirdly. He handed her phone back and said, "There you go."
Caspian nodded lightly and replied, "Yeah. My mom died when I was thirteen and my dad died a hero not too long after that. My sister and I moved around a lot but eventually we had to be separated. She's only six but she's happy where she's at. She's got a permanent home." He smiled easily. Caspian missed Kate a whole lot but he was just glad she was happy. Plus, Kate would never survive the wrath of Jocelyn Vixx. As cool as Jocelyn was to have because the house was peaceful or she got pissy - Cas didn't think Josie would like Kate too much. "Funny? More like terrifying." It was truth. He didn't know anyone tougher than Jocelyn or could take Jocelyn on. She was such a badass. He looked over and replied, "Eh. It's all right. There's way too much drama I think, and too much publicity for stupid people, but um, it's nice I guess? I haven't quite decided yet." He gave her a half smile.

Alana always made it a point to at least know of of the players on the lacrosse team, but for once, she actually wanted to get to know this certain on. He wasn’t jock-like at all, plus he was kind of funny so she definitely wanted to talk to him again. She always knew when there was someone worth keeping around, she liked surrounding her people with fun and entertaining people. She grinned happily in reply, ”well good, I don’t like most conformists, “ she nudged him playfully again. It wasn’t entirely true, but she preferred hanging out with people that made up their own rules and just were themselves. She didn’t like conforming to societies expectations, nope, not one bit.
”You can still own it, if you tried,” she shrugged lightly, just trying to get him to own his given nickname by the time. She was never one to settle for something, so she always wanted to fight to not settle for something someone else had attempted to make her accept. ”if you say so,” she shrugged, her head tilted up at him a bit, ”a record deal? You sing or something?” she raised a brow. ”uh, sure, I guess you’re right,” she replied uncertainly. She didn’t know many singers, besides her own older sister, but Eva was always the more talented ones. And Alana knew very well that if you knew you were good, you most likely were, so she didn’t doubt for a second that Caspian wasn’t talented. It was a little disturbing to see that he was a little cocky about his talent and potential to get a record deal, but he must have been just that good and she was never one to judge so she chose to ignore the arrogance of the comment. ”well good for you?” she gave a light shrug and looked away back at the field.
Alana gave a light chuckle at his response to her precious comment and rose a brow, ”er… thanks?” she replied, unsure of how to react to that mostly. The boy had only known her for a few moments but she was never one to judge so she chose to just accept his first perception of her, ”that’s a first, but I’ll take it,” she chuckled, ”I’ll have to put that in this year’s Christmas card,” she teased, and nudged him lightly again. She noticed him turn red and she didn’t want him to feel uncomfortable so she tried to not make him feel further that way. She liked this boy and he seemed pretty easy-going, she didn’t want any small thing to screw it up. And even if he was awkward near girls, she wasn’t like any other girl so she knew she’d be a difference in letting him into her social circle.
”Speeds going to be your key weapon, watch,” she nodded in encouragement, she was a very competitive person, so she knew how to spot strengths and weaknesses easily. ”trust me, we’ll have to work on that,” she nodded as matter-of-factly. She smiled a little at his reason for disliking bee’s and shrugged, she was never afraid of insects or reptiles. She was quite fearless for the most part actually. She took her phone back and took a glance at the contact information, frowning lightly, ”I was hoping you’d put yourself under ‘tinkerbell’” she joked and chuckled a bit, ”I’m kidding,” she nudged him again lightly.
Her expression softened as he told her about his parents, she didn’t expect to hear something so personal so soon. ”I like her,” she shrugged lightly. ”you don’t get along with her?” she asked, swinging her legs lightly, ”well I hope you enjoy yourself, I like velocity,” she shrugged. ”you should probably get back to your game…. I’ll text you later, alright?” she smiled and ruffled his hair lightly as she stood up, ”good luck”.
