click, 545 WORDS, TAGGED FOR NOAH, INTENSE. It was the last day of school, but for Ryan that had been the previous day. He woke up at the normal time and ate break feast with Jason as per usual, but when Jason departed for school, he took another nap because he knew just as well as Jude did that they’d need the rest. He was nervous to say the least, though he didn’t know why. Noah wasn’t going to be there. He was guaranteed not to be there, right? The only way he’d be there would be if the man somehow figured out his plan, which there was no way of. It was more so just the thought that he’d be back home for a couple hours, the corridors of which he used to live. Sometimes he felt homesick, honestly. He never had a particularly good relationship with his uncle, but as a kid he didn’t get beat up all that often. Still often, but it was nowhere near how it had been in the last year or so. Regardless, he missed his old house. It held memories that couldn’t be replaced, but he was gaining new, more positive ones as the days went on at the Walker’s house. He really, truly felt as though he was part of their family.
Not after too long, Ryan was in the car, on the way with Jude to his old house, where they would get Evan and as many things as possible. He was excited to finally see his brother more, and to be the one helping someone else for a change. When Evan first told him about Noah, he didn’t believe it. He’d always thought that Noah just didn’t like him, but it was a mutual feeling towards the boys, and it really upset him. What had they done wrong, if they had done anything at all? He used to blame it on himself, for just being a goof, but there was virtually nothing wrong with his older brother but yet his uncle hated him too? It made more sense, in a way, and comforted him but all the same made him less at ease. He tapped his fingers nervously on the dashboard, closing his eyes as they rolled up two houses away from the one in question and parked, sitting there for a second.“Better go get him…” He started, pulling his phone out and shooting Evan a quick text, ”meet me under your window.” After the text was sent, he got out of the car and began to walk.
Whether or not Jude was okay with him going alone was beyond him, as it was that he was already gone, and the corner with Evan’s window was out of sight. He grew nervous as he realized that little fact, but he knew he was being ridiculous. Noah had a job at the school and that was where he was. Ryan looked up at the window with squinted eyes; why the hell were the blinds closed? Evan never closed his blinds. Maybe he just had the night before and hadn’t gotten there yet? Trying to comfort himself, he thought of several options where Evan was probably just being slow in hopping out the window, though he knew something felt weird about this.
OUT OF CHARACTER NOTE: Wasn't sure how to set this up. Shoot me a message if you have any questions <3

As thrilled as Noah was for it to finally be the last day of school and move on to summer vacation, he wasn’t going anywhere today. The day before he had told one of the ladies at the front desk that he needed a personal day and you bet your ass he added some charming to the mix so she wouldn’t ask too many questions. They had aligned a substitute for his classes and he was free to do whatever the fuck he wanted. In a sense, he really did need a personal day. A few days ago he had walked into his nephew, Evan’s bedroom while he was in the shower and had laid eyes on his open laptop screen. For once, Noah wasn’t wasted, at least not yet anyways. He was going to make Evan do his laundry before he forgot about it while under the influence.
He realized Evan was in the shower and he found himself walking towards the empty computer desk chair. Noah was a nosy son of a bitch when it came to his nephews so he helped himself to seeing what Evan was doing last or who he was talking to online. ”Let me guess, you’re in some faggot-y chat room, how fucking cute,” he muttered under his breath as he got closer making himself comfortable. There was an open conversation window and Noah immediately realized that it was a conversation between Ryan and Evan. Noah read the entire thing, from beginning to end and as he read every line, he only grew angrier. This little motherfucker was planning an escape and there was no way that Noah was going to let another one of his stupid gay nephews leave his house for good. Noah wasn’t going to snap on Evan just yet, he was going to wait till their little plan came into effect so that he can get Ryan too.
Finally, the ‘Operation: get Evan moved out while Uncle was at work’ day was here, and Noah hadn’t said anything to Evan just yet. He pretended he was going to work, doing his normal morning routine and he could tell Evan was avoiding him. He stayed quiet for the most part, so Evan believed he had left, but when the time came closer to his escape time, he knew he had to make his presence known. He knocked on Evan’s door, he hated when it was shut, he hated it even more when it was locked, which it was. ”what the fuck did I tell you about locking this damn door?” he called out through the door, which was unlocked within seconds. Evan knew better than to not respond to his uncle right away, the man had no patience when it came to him. He opened the door and walked inside, ”where’s your phone?” he asked, grabbing the boy’s laptop. ”give me your fucking phone,” he said glaring at his nephew until he gave up his phone, ”You tryin’ to pull a fast one on me, you little shit?” he said in an aggressive tone as he snatched the boys phone from him and looked at it, browsing through his recent text messages.
He put Evan’s cell phone in his own pocket after he read the last message from Ryan and smacked Evan upside the head, ”You and your brother are as stupid as you two fucking look,” he put the laptop down but shut closed. He walked over to the window and closed the blinds, ”stay there. If you fucking move, I swear to god you’re fucking dead,” he pointed at Evan with a glare. He didn’t think Evan would move, especially since Noah always went through with his threats, especially when he swore to god. He picked up the laptop again and headed downstairs, throwing it on the couch and looking out the window near the front door. Ryan was arriving just on time and alone, which only made Noah grin evilly. These boys really were fucking stupid. Noah had no idea how the hell they were related to him.
He waited until Ryan had walked over to where he told Evan to meet him; he double-checked to make sure no one was around as he stepped out of the house. He walked slowly around the house and peaked over to see Ryan standing there, with that same confused expression he usually sported. He walked over to him and grabbed the back of Ryan’s neck roughly, ”Waiting for someone? Huh?” he said in his ear, his anger relevant in his tone, ”you should have told me you were coming over, I would have baked you a fucking cake to welcome you back,” he said, using his other hand to grab Ryan’s arm so he wouldn’t try anything. ”Walk,” he demanded, leading Ryan back into the house, ”did you really fucking think you were going to get him out?” he asked rhetorically and scoffed, ”you’re lucky that you even got out,” he said through gritted teeth

click, 627 WORDS, TAGGED FOR NOAH, INTENSE.
The longer Ryan waited, the more nervous he got. He hadn’t even been there a full two minutes and he was getting worried; but really, who could blame him? He hadn’t been around the house since his initial departure, which had actually been almost half a year ago. It was crazy how fast time went when you weren’t getting the shit kicked out of you every day. Guilt overwhelmed him as he thought – how could he have been so stupid to not notice Evan and Noah fighting before? He always just thought that Evan was stronger than him, and therefore they didn’t have the same problems. It was a stupid, stupid thought and he regretted it to no end, but now he was trying to correct that wrong-doing. He could only hope that this would go according to plan – and if it didn’t, then there would be a next time because Evan was his brother and though he was older, he needed help out of there and Ryan was going to give it to him. At least, he would do all that he could. He was unlikely to forgive himself if he failed.
Another moment passed and he turned when he thought he heard the door open, but he concluded that he was just freaking himself out and looked back to the window, watching it cautiously. Had Evan decided to go a different way? Why would he do something so stupid? He bit his lip and stared for another second, giving it a little more time before going to the front of the house – he wanted to avoid that at all costs. Before he could finish another thought on the matter the back of his neck was grabbed in an all too familiarly rough manner and he was drawn back into a hold, his uncle’s venomous voice filling his ears. His heart fell to his stomach, shivers running up his spine and he looked over to Noah, his eyes wide and frightened – was he aware of the plan? His question was answered shortly after thinking it, and the only thing he could think to do was awkwardly, and very nervously laugh, “what? Waiting for someone? That’s r-ridiculous. Can’t a guy just v-visit his favorite uncle?” He mused, wincing at the hold on his arm and walking obediently, knowing very well that it was his only choice in the matter if he wanted to get back out of the house in one piece. “Really? What kind of cake?” He asked, trying to distract from the topic at hand, and his tone was high pitched and no less awkward than the last thing he’d said.
Once they were in the house, he felt a sudden rush of nostalgia, and it felt poisonous. There was nothing but negative memories coming back to him, especially with the vibe he was currently getting from his uncle. He didn’t dare answer his rhetorical question; after years of experience, he had learned it was best to leave those things alone. The door was shut once again and he turned his eyes to his uncle, pure terror locked in them – was he not allowed to leave again? Would Jude be able to get him out? What was Noah going to do to him? He thought back to the threat he’d been given in school only a week or two ago – the one where he was promised that he would pay for what he had done. In which case, it was leaving the home. “What are you going to do to me?” The question came out almost without permission – as it always did. This was what he asked almost every single time he got into trouble – really, it was like a routine, or a habit, even.
ooc: Half asleep, sorry if some of it didn't make sense.

Noah still wasn’t even sure how the hell Ryan got moved out when he wasn’t looking, had he really been that wasted that day or what? He must have blacked out, as he usually did, because the next few days, Ryan’s room started to get emptier and emptier and he hadn’t see the kid in awhile. He called a few times in the beginning, but even he knew that Ryan wouldn’t answer his calls. He’d have to run into him at some point or something, which was one of the reasons he had gotten the job at the high school in the first place. He wasn’t going to let Ryan get away with something like that, he was going to get his karma if it was the last thing Noah did.
But he sure as damn wasn’t going to let the other Griffin fag of the family get out too, hell no, not on his watch. Their parents weren’t around so it was up to him to man them the fuck up, it wasn’t his fault that they didn’t like his teaching techniques. They would have to eventually get over it, shit, he did when he was younger, and it made him the independent and fearless man that he was today. He ignored his nephew’s attempt at saving himself from getting caught in the act, Ryan was always the one that was more of a pain in the ass. ”Mhm, I’m your only uncle, you little shit,” he said angrily as they made their way back to the front door of the house. ’Really? What kind of cake?’ he heard Ryan ask and kicked the boy in one of his calves, ”shut up and open the damn door!”
When Ryan did and they were both inside, Noah kicked the door shut and shoved Ryan towards the couch in the living room, on top of Evan’s laptop, not caring if Ryan’s weight would break it. He turned to lock the door then turned his attention back to Ryan, stepping closer sporting that familiar furious expression on his face. ”Pfft, like I’d really fucking tell you? you know how much I love the element of surprise,” he grinned evilly, ”so what? Did you think I wouldn’t find out about this?” he asked. ”You and I both know that your dumb ass would have been stupid enough to leave some sort of evidence behind that had you written all over it…” he shook his head, ”ha! You can’t even plan an escape without me catching you, you’re such a dumbass”.
Noah paced a bit back and forth; he knew Evan wouldn’t move from his bedroom, the kid was just as scared of him as Ryan was. His eyes never left Ryan though; he just couldn’t decide what to do with him first. Finally he walked towards him and grabbed his shirt, pulling him up roughly, ”What the fuck is wrong with you?! Why can’t you just take the shit you deserve and obey, huh?! Why did you have to run away like a little bitch and now you’re trying to get your brother to do the same?” he asked, the same anger in his eyes as he glared back at Ryan, this time their faces inches away from one anothers. ”No wonder your parents don’t fucking give a shit, you two are worthless skum,” he spit in his face in disgust and shoved him back down.

Mhm, I’m your only uncle, you little shit. The words rang through his ears like boomerangs and he grimaced at the thought: how unfortunate. His life could have been so much different if there had been an uncle on his mom’s side of the family, or an aunt that made cookies for all his friends and didn’t ask any questions that didn’t relate to his wellbeing or education. An aunt that he wasn’t afraid of, and more importantly an aunt that loved him. Noah had his moments in growing up that showed some kind of affection, and Ryan lived for those moments, but they were rare and ceased to exist as he grew. Those moments were what kept him believing that he had someone to go home to that cared about him, and genuinely so. Now he had Jude, but it hadn’t quite sunk in for him yet that he did in fact have him. It was something that needed real time to heal, as it had been this way for so many years. His calf throbbed as he wrapped his hand around the knob, shoving it and turning it open, though he was shaking to the point that it was made difficult to open a door. He went flying to the couch, landing right on his older brother’s laptop, and it hit right on the sensitive spot in his hip bone. His jaw dropped and he hissed in a sort of painful way, narrowing his eyes and rolling over, pushing the semi-messed up laptop to the side and sitting mostly down, backed up into the couch as his eyes locked steadily on his uncle. What a bastard. He bit his lip, his heart dropping to his stomach as he went on, knowing that it was going to be bad. It was probably going to be the worst yet, based on the circumstances. Well, that one time he broke his arm never really got beat there. He could only hope it wasn’t worse than that time. “I…” he opened his mouth to speak, but he couldn’t find the right words to say. When it came to Noah, there were no right words to say, unless you were agreeing with him. He looked at the tan carpet as he swallowed tightly, listening to his words but trying his damned best not to take it to heart. If only it were that easy. “I know.” In suspense, he grabbed onto the fabric of their couch and returned the gaze, pure terror struck through his expression. He released it as he was lifted, his hands automatically tearing at where Noah had him and body squirming – it was like a natural reaction for him and he pulled his face back, trying to ignore the words that were coming out of his uncle’s mouth but when someone was so close to you and as loud as this son of a bitch, that was near impossible. “What the fuck is wrong with me?” He asked rheotorically, disgust in his voice as he looked back at him. “Why don’t you try looking in a mirror?!” Ryan snapped, knowing it would do him no good, but all the same not giving a shit. He swallowed tightly at his following words, unsure how generate a response because he knew it was true. His parents didn’t give a shit about him and they had no reason to. He was a worthless, awkward piece of shit. Evan he didn’t understand and never would – he was like the perfect child. Great grades, awesome at sports… and here he was, second string in lacrosse with straight C’s. He drew back when he was spat at, any self-confidence tumbling down the drain as he tumbled down to the floor, landing and looking up at Noah, almost pathetically. “Your parents must have really not given a shit about you, huh?” He challenged, rolling over onto his back and sending a glare his way. How else would a guy like Noah have been raised? OUTFIT

Noah was used to having his way with his nephews, both were too chicken shit to fight back and even if they attempted, Noah would only make it worse on them. His brother and his sister-in-law were never around, so it was up to him to raise them like they were supposed to be raised. They didn’t see it now, but they’d be just as much of a man as he was eventually. For now, it didn’t really look like there was any hope, both kids were flimsy and quite feminine, Noah couldn’t help but assume they were batting for the wrong team. He wasn’t going to let them go down that road, fuck that, they were going to be men damn it. He would beat the gay right out of them until there was no more faggotry left in them.
It definitely made him feel good that Ryan was so scared right now, Noah could see it in the boys face. He just didn’t understand why Ryan would even attempt to take his brother out of the house too. The boy was really an idiot to even come back to the house. Noah wanted to ring this kid a new one, Ryan had a nice good beating coming to him. What? Noah did have to make up for lost time, right? He rose a brow when he heard Ryan start to talk back to him, was this kid fucking serious right now? Ryan told him to look in a mirror and he looked at the teenager in angry disbelief, ”Who the fuck do you think you are talking to me like that?” he stepped closer, ”Huh?” He could feel his anger building up inside of him, he was ready to start swinging at this kid. He kicked at the boys leg in anger.
Ryan was on the floor now, right where Noah wanted him. He looked down at Ryan, feeling superior to the little pathetic twerp as always. Before he could say or do anything, Ryan rolled over onto his back and spoke. The words coming out of his mouth only infuriated Noah more and within seconds, all he could see was red. He was seriously about to murder this kid, it was like the world had frozen but alarms were ringing in his head. He wasn’t wasted but he was pretty sure he was about to black out from so much anger and not even remember what was going to happen next. It was like he couldn’t control it, he just felt himself immediately launch towards Ryan. ”You little shit!” he yelled jumping on top of the boy and grabbing a hold of his shirt with one hand and throwing one of his hardest punches towards the boys face.
He usually just roughed his nephews up, but Ryan had been asking for it for far too long, especially now. Noah wasn’t going to hold back this time, fuck that. Ryan was going to get exactly what he deserved and Noah was going to make sure he got it right here and now. Then when he was done with Ryan, he was going to head right upstairs and teach Evan a lesson as well. Trying to escape when he wasn’t home? Yeah, he was due for a really good ass kicking. ”YOU”, he hit Ryan again, ”DON’T”, again, ”KNOW” again, ”SHIT”. It was like he couldn’t stop, usually he did, not wanting to kill the kids, but Ryan had pressed the one button he didn’t like being pressed and there was no telling how far he’d go right now.

Evan was quite used to being treated the way he was this morning; but today, today it meant something different. He couldn't stop swearing at himself for letting them get caught, though he knew it wasn't actually his fault. He genuinely thought he had gone, and there was no way he could've known. He kept his eyes on the ground as his uncle yelled and stormed through his room, smacking him in the process as he spewed out verbal abuse. It was all normal behavior, except he knew now that his brother was in jeporody. He was told not to move, and for a while, he didn't. He was afraid. He waited until Noah's footsteps had completely faded before he went to the window and looked through the blinds, seeing Ryan standing there like an idiot. Damn it. If only he had his phone. He saw his uncle and ducked back into place, sitting where he was told not to move from, just like a little coward would. He sat in silence and pure anxiety as he listened closely, wincing at the sound of a door slamming and his uncle's voice carrying through the house. He must have gotten Ryan.
He stayed still for as long as he could, but he couldn't bare to let his brother just get beaten up down there while he did nothing. Evan got up to the door and went to open it, but he struggled because the lock seemed to be stuck. Fuck. All of those times where he locked the door and tried to keep his uncle out were finally coming back to bite him in the ass. They must have broken it somehow. He hastily twisted and turned, pulling with all his might until he finally got the door open and rushed down the hallway and stairs. He widened his eyes at the sight in front of him; Noah had Ryan on the floor, and Ryan said something that... well, he shouldn't have. He stood in shock as he watched him punch him, once really hard, and then several other times. "Get your fucking hands off of him," he finally gathered the courage to say, trying to distract him from Ryan because if he tackled him now, he'd be hurting Ryan too. He needed him to be off of him. Evan's voice was loud and clear, and for once, he didn't look frightened. Maybe it was adrenaline powering him, or just the mere fact that his little brother needed him.
