It was a full, walk in sort of deal – he had clothes for every occasion. For this he pulled a sweater, simple but expensive, slipping it over his previously bare torso and looking briefly into the mirror. The rest of his apparel seemed fine; it was just a hangout, anyways. Then again, it was a hangout with a boy that he felt particularly fluttery about. His feelings were hard to explain, mostly because he was unfamiliar with them, but he ignored them and continued on. It was the best way to keep moving, in his opinion. If he let himself think for something for an extended amount of time, there was no telling when he would stop. With a mind such as his, a single thought could spiral for hours upon hours, and sometimes he knew better than to let the cycle begin. James walked out of his closet and shut the door, looking to his bed, where all four of his cats had managed to gather in only a few seconds time. He couldn’t help but laugh at how odd that was, but he should have known better. None of the kittens were fond of being alone, and his home was quite huge. They often gathered near the warmest body… in other words, his. Living big only meant so much when you had no one to share it with. For the past three years, Jamie shared a condo with four kittens, accompanied only by other humans when he invited friends over. In a sense he was alright with this, but he often found himself going out to avoid the emptiness that was his home. There had been a point where he tried to find a suitable room-mate, but he couldn’t really find anyone who was alright with four cats living with them. It didn’t make much sense to a cat lover such as James, but he chose not to question others in fear that he’d hear something negative about his favorite sort of animal. It was nearly impossible to sway him into thinking poorly of cats, but he still didn’t like to hear things bad about them; after all, at the end of the day, his cats were his family. He could Skype with his sister all he wanted, but he didn’t live with her, and the same went with his father. At some points he considered going home to be around those he loved, but that would mean taking a serious step backwards in his career. A high pitched, spine shaking ring went off and his grin returned to his face. Instinctively, he went to the door, and then down the hallway towards the elevator to take him to the lobby. James opened the door to where Max stood, grinning widely and offering a hand out for him to take as he motioned his head towards the indoors as a sort of way to say come in. “Hey, Max!” He greeted cheerfully, hoping that taking his hand wouldn’t be a problem – some people were turned off by it, which he didn’t really understand. It was just a simple gesture. He liked not to lose the person he was walking with, especially when traveling in a large place, such as the condo he lived in. | female. eighteen. high school student - senior. |
