Aiden hadn’t felt this great in a long time and if you knew Aiden, he always made sure he was happy, no matter what, he was selfish like that. But this feeling was different, it wasn’t just simply happy, it was… love. Usually when he fell easily for someone, it freaked him out, mostly because he never really thought he’d ultimately end up with someone. He liked doing what he wanted without restrictions or limitations, but ever since the breakup with Lizzie happened, things have been coming up in his life that show him that there is something inside of him that wants exactly that. He thought the break was a good idea at the time, but he slowly realized that it was just his subconscious mind telling him that he was missing something. He felt guilty for seeing that now, especially because of who got hurt in the process, but still, he didn’t regret what happened. He wished it would have all happened differently sure, but what’s done is done, right?
Things were going beyond great with Sara, she was more than he could ever ask for in a girl and she knew how to challenge him in just the right ways. She was inspiring to him and made him want to be a better man whenever they talked. He was never one for too much conversation, but Sara always got him to talk, even about things he didn’t want her to know about him. It wasn’t that he wanted to keep things from her, he just didn’t want her to look at him differently for things he’d done in his past. But she didn’t, she never judged him on anything, which was something that made him fall even more for her. Each day that went by in which he spent with her was like another adventure, he never knew what was going to be said or done, and he didn’t care either. He just liked to be in her presence, she was like this ball of sunshine that no matter what mood he was in, she’d make it better just by standing there.
His mom had already given him her approval, after meeting Sara the day before, which definitely made Aid happy. His mom was extremely close with his Ex-girlfriend, Lizzie, and thought his mom had never been the judgmental type, he just wasn’t sure where she would stand with Sara. Lucky for him, his mom absolutely loved his girlfriend. Sara had slept over that night, but the pair separated to go do other things before their date that night. It was going to be their first actual date as a couple, it wasn’t a shock though that they hadn’t been on one yet. Aiden was never a ‘date’ kind of guy, he never found the point in it if you’ve already screwed the girl. But now, he was thinking differently, he saw why things like that were important, especially in a relationship. You had to do things like that to keep showing your appreciation of the person and just to spend more quality time with them. Plus, Aiden wanted to do something for Sara and she more than deserved that first date, it was long overdue.
He had already picked her up, right on time, he even walked her to his car, and opened the door for her. The boy could definitely be a gentlemen when he felt like it. They had just pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant his uncle helped him pick out, it wasn’t too fancy, but it didn’t resemble a diner either, it was just right. Aiden even dressed a little nice for the occasion and made sure he looked his best for his girl. After putting the car in park, he looked over at Sara and grinned, ”You ready, beautiful?” he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers.
