FRIDAY NIGHTS ARE ALWAYS THE SAME / AIDEN

[LIZZIE SKYLAR ROSE]

The day had started off like any other for Lizzie, the first half ending at approximately two-thirty in the afternoon when she pulled into her new step-mom’s driveway, finally being released from school. It was only her first week in the house but she felt very at home, as it was that her step brothers were a lot like herself, and one was quiet attractive. Hell, they both were, but Brandon’s face pissed Lizzie off a little bit. She didn’t know what it was about it, but every time she looked at him in the face she got really, really pissed. She let herself into the house and dropped her backpack next to the door, slipping her converse shoes on top of it. She didn’t see anyone around so she plopped herself onto the couch, catching the last of a vampire diaries episode that she hardly got to watch anymore, no thanks to the lugs that took up the couch normally. She figured they were at football practice or something of the sorts, but didn’t really know for sure. But, it was Friday after all, so they might be out.

She watched it for about two hours, not even realizing how fast the time flew by. It was four o’clock when she snapped out of it to the sound of the boys walking in, and immediately she hopped off the couch and strode back into her room. She closed the door and went through her drawers, deciding to go into the hot tub. It was cool enough that she could go for a chilly swim, but she wasn’t all too sure she wanted to do that. Slipping out of her clothes she put them in her hamper, still digging through her clothes in frustration to find one of her pairs of bottoms and top bathing suits. It took her longer than normal because the move messed everything up, and she made a mental note to fix that up later on.

Lizzie found one and put it on, walking out to the hot tub and setting her hello kitty towel on the side and turning it on. She looked up at the dimming sky and just sat there, wishing she had brought some kind of music out. She saw that someone left a radio out on the table they had on the patio, and she got up and turned it on to 100.5 before getting back into the hot tub, bobbing her head to ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ by Foster the People. It had just started and she sang the lyrics quietly, grinning to herself at how dark they were compared to how they sounded. She had googled the lyrics and sung them almost perfectly, despite her not having much of a voice. “Robert’s got a quick hand…” She mumbled, closing her eyes and soaking in the hot water that she needed so badly. Throughout the song she sang her favorite parts, pausing to text someone back or to text someone else, her face practically in the keypad. Yep, she was one of those girls, always texting and never leaving her phone out of her sight.

Aiden character on the game was just about to waste Brandon’s until the pause menu came up, ”What the fuck!?” Aiden yelled at his brother shoving him. ’bite break’, Brandon replied as if it was no big deal, turning around to take another bite out of his third sandwich of the night. Aiden rolled his eyes, Brandon was such a fucking pig. Aiden looked at the game then at Brandon’s control, a smirk forming on his face as an idea formed in his brain. He grabbed his brother’s control and switched it with another one, which had no battery’s in it, putting the original behind him so Brandon wouldn’t see it. Aiden pressed resume and the gun shots started going again, it all happened so fast. Brandon quickly flung around with a piece of lettuce hanging out of his mouth, grabbed the control in front of him and tried pressing buttons as fast as he could, ’you asshole!’, left his mouth as Aiden shot him dead on the video game, raising his arms up in praise. ’my control wasn’t work—motherfucker!’ a punch hit Aiden’s arm as Brandon realized that Aiden switched the controls, but Aiden just laughed his ass off, figuring the punch was definitely worth it. ”that’s what you get for taking your stupid ass ‘bite breaks’,” he said simply and stood up from the couch, deciding he was done playing for now. He walked into the kitchen, hearing Brandon mumble something, probably curse words at what had just happened, but Aiden just smiled, pleased with himself. He opened the fridge, but before he could grab something, something caught his eye. The glass sliding door, separating the back area and the house was in his viewing and he saw the beautiful blonde walk into the hot tub. He tilted his head a little as he watched her, his eyes scanning her flawless body as she entered the water. ”Damn…” he whispered under his breathe, he found himself saying that word a lot more lately towards the blonde. He hated having her in the house, like this anyways. He would have preferred her in his house under different circumstances, in his bed and probably on top of him, but no, his mom had to fuck it up and fall in love with her dad. Aiden was already getting the teasing from his older brother, Brandon, who knew that Aiden already had his eyes on her before the moving happened. The day that Lizzie first fell into the Steele brothers’ radar, Aiden had managed to call dibs before Brandon could, but none of that mattered now, did it? The girl was practically becoming their sister and it annoyed the hell out of Aiden, especially when she walked around in a bathing suit or little booty shorts, unable to avert his eyes and prevent his thoughts or fantasies. Aiden licked his lips, knowing what he was about to do was probably a bad idea, but hell, he was going to do anyways. He turned his attention to the fridge and grabbed two beers from the six pack Brandon had put in there as soon as the parents left. He opened both and made his way to the back where she was, he slid the door open and closed it with ease. ”hey…sis” he said with a tone of resentment and placed one of the beers near her on the edge of the hot tub. ”here, enjoy a cold one. Also, second rule of the house according to me and my bro, when the parents are out…so is the booze”, he grinned and lifted up his beer as if to say cheers and took a drink. He looked up at the sky, watching it start to get dark, then back at her, ”so what are you getting into tonight?” he asked, interested. there can be only one mikey! of caution 2.0

Lizzie bobbed her head gently to the music and looked over at the glass door when it opened, grinning at the sight of her soon to be step brother, Aiden. She couldn’t say she was surprised to see him pursuing her, as it was clear that they had a thing before she moved in. It never even made it to the kissing stage, but it was definitely getting there. She raised an eyebrow and took the beer, nodding and clinking it with his before taking a sip out of it. She didn’t mind beer but she preferred more fruity drinks with something spiked in it, vodka or rum, she wasn’t too picky. “Thanks… bro.” She said, emphasizing on ‘bro’ to make him feel a little uncomfortable. It was weird, and she didn’t like that he very well could have been a hook-up, but it was too late for that. She still couldn’t help that wanting feeling though. “You know, this would be a fuck of a lot easier if you were gay. I mean, Brandon’s ugly, so that’s whatever, fine brother material. But you, you sir are hard to not want to fuck.” She told him bluntly, looking up at the sky and putting her cell down.

“Then again…” She started with a little grin on her face. “My first kiss was a gay guy, so I guess that wouldn’t matter all too much… it was like eighth grade. We kissed for like a minute then he pulls away and goes, ‘Urrr, I think I’m gay.’” She told him, mocking the voice in a really demeaning and dragging tone. She was actually still friends with the guy because Ariel was, and it was funny anyways. She just wished she had kissed someone else, you know, that was attracted to her anyways. “Um… nothing. Everyone interesting is busy. I’m thinking about going for a swim but I don’t want to alone.”She told him with a little pout on her face. “What about you and ugly face?” She asked, raising an eyebrow, referring to Brandon. She had made it very, very clear that she did not like Brandon very much in their first meeting.

He gritted his teeth a little at the word ‘bro’, there was seriously no getting used to that. ’fucking mom’, he thought to himself as he avoided eye contact at first, but eventually met her gaze. Not only would he be unable to touch her, he would have to see her bring home guys for the rest of his life, and probably be in awe with her the entire time too, unless of course, he found someone hotter and with a better personality. But was that even possible? She seemed to be the entire package, but he had to shake that from his thought train, because unfortunately, that didn’t really matter anymore. She was off limits. Her next words definitely came by surprise, but he wasn’t complaining. Not only was she saying that he was more attractive than his brother, but she was also admitting to still wanting to fuck him. The two had never gotten the chance to hook up, but it was obvious to them both, that it was bound to happen. He chuckled a bit, ”and you? You’re the one prancing around in little to nothing, missy. Lizzie grinned a little bit, “You’re right, it would be… but I don’t like girls like I like penis. I have kissed Mandy though. It was weird.” She made a face, laughing and tilting her head back. “You’ll just gonna have to get over the prancing around in almost nothing, though, dear.” She told him with a mocking tone, not willing to give up what she believed to be her superior sense of style. She didn’t mind telling him what she’s done and hasn’t done, not ashamed at all with whom she’s kissed, or what she’s kissed. She couldn’t help but laugh when he commented on the guy, shrugging her shoulders. “Maybe. I don’t know. You know him better than I do. He’s on your football team.” She told him with a grin, not giving away exactly who the mystery gay was, but not being all too subtle about it either. She looked up at him and took a sip of her beer, stepping up and out of the tub, careful not to get water on her phone. She wrapped the towel around her but very loosely, a bit of cleavage and body still visible.

She giggled at his nickname for Brandon, nodding quietly. “I see…” She flipped her hair over her shoulder, remembering that Liam was actually one of her top men to get down with. She couldn’t help grinning at the thought but shoved it away, focusing more on the task at hand. “Good, his face pisses me off. I’d rather him be gone, you know?” She said with an exasperated sigh, a laugh escaping her thin lips before she consumed some more alcohol. She raised both her eyebrows at him and shrugged, “yeah, I know, same… but in all technicality, we won’t ever be blood related. It’s just kinda… frowned upon.” She told him with an evil sounding laugh, but somewhat cute at the same time.

She dropped her towel and took his hand, taking another sip before pulling him off the patio with her. “I don’t care if you don’t.” She chanted sing-song like, letting go of his hand and taking the beer gently out of his hand, setting it on the pool edge before jumping in, looking up at him. “Shit, it’s cold.. I think I need another body to warm me up.” She said mischievously, grabbing his hand and pulling him down with her.

He swam over to the stairs of the pool, stepping on the first two and quickly disrobing, leaving himself in just his boxers. Lizzie squealed a little bit when he hit the water, giggling with a red face at Aiden when he came up. “Nah, man… I take what I want.” She told him defiantly before dipping under the water, swimming quite a distance away from him and then back towards the stair case. She rested her hands on the stairs and grinned at him, watching him in his boxers. “Come on, pussy, get back in the deep end.” She taunted, dipping under and swimming to the other side of the pool. She came back up right as he said the last part and she shrugged. “Oh well. Good thing it wasn’t! and I’d never waste a good beer.” She told him and swam to the edge, kicking her feet and drinking out of her own while she was at the side of the pool.

He swam a little closer to her and placed his hands on each side of her, but on the edge of the pool. The setting sun fought for the spotlight with the moon, unwilling to give up the headlining attention even though the encore was far over. Night himself took over the sky and danced with the stars, shining down on all the creatures that surrounded and filled the small, yet so big world. Lizzie slid her hand up the attractive boy's slippery chest, her touch gentle but pure despite what her eyes said about her intentions. A careful but confident smirk painted across her lips and a low giggle escaped her lips as she looked away, twirling her finger with her free hand into her damp, blonde locks. "I don't know about that. He's really not that bad, you know." She commented, poking his nose gently and giggling once again. She gasped a little bit and pushed on his chest, a light smack but nothing to hurt the guy. "Me? A bad kisser? Come on. The boy has fishy lips. HE was the bad kisser." She argued with a smile, but the smile soon turned into a pout, and a cute one at that. "Plus, do you really think I'd be a bad kisser?" She asked, not insecure at all of her inability or abilities as far kissing went, she knew very well where she stood. "Talkin' pretty big for a guy that who probably isn't much better." She taunted with a sly smirk and shook her head in disbelief. This guy didn't seem to know as well as he thought he did who exactly he was talking to.

Lizzie raised both of her eyebrows and shrugged her shoulders, laughing a little bit. She kind of was a female version of him, she noted mentally, even if she didn't want to think that. She tilted her head and grinned a little bit, not wanting to burst his little bubble by letting him know that she actually was into those things. Her dad was all she lived with up until now and they would play those games for hours, even if she was a princess kind of girly girl. "Weeeelll..." She started, laughing and covering her mouth as she did so. "I do. Not so much modern warfare, but you can ask my dad, I kick ass at Call of Duty." She bragged shamelessly, dipping her head back into the water and then coming back up to fix it, keeping it wet made it look better in situations like this. She bit her bottom lip as she thought about the things she liked before she started a list, "Well, I love shopping, you know, fashion, all that girly stuff... parties. Mario. I love Mario and those other kiddie games." She finished with a grin, laughing a little bit. "Movies, I've seen everything... and do you know what Webkinz are?" She asked with an embarrassed grin.

He could tell it was getting darker though, just by the mix of purple and orange in the sky. He could still hear gunshots and yelling from the video game his brother must have still been playing, ’good, he’s kept busy’, aiden thought, his eyes never leaving the girls. Her touch was pleasant and only made him want to bring her closer, but he held back, just letting her feel whatever she pleased. Aiden laughed as he was pushed back lightly, rolling his eyes at the fact that she said the boy wasn’t that bad. She obviously didn’t know how annoying he could be, but he wasn’t going to waste any more of his time with her on that fairy. He laughed a little, ”he does have a ginormous mouth… I wonder how many tennis balls he can fit in that thing…”. He bit his lip as she pouted, but not in a nervous way, he just had to hold back his smile on how adorable she could be. That pout probably got her a lot of things and most likely got a lot of boys in trouble. ”I don’t think so… you actually look like you’re good at a a lot of things.. but looks can be deceiving…” he smirked, a light chuckle leaving his lips when she turned the tables on him. ”I guess there’s only one way to find out if either of us are good kissers”, he said in a sort of seductive tone, letting his finger trail from her shoulder blade, and down her arm slowly. Aiden’s jaw dropped a little as she revealed that she was indeed into Call of Duty, he collected himself when she went under water. Could this chick seriously get any hotter? ”are you serious? He didn’t know a lot of girls that played those games, except for a few on xbox live, but technically he didn’t actually know those people. "Two," Lizzie informed him matter of factly, grinning widely as she did so. She could remember the night that he actually tried and practically choked them out, but it was hilarious nonetheless. She shook her head at the thought and pushed it out of her brain, her focus drifting away from her gay friend to her attractive new step-brother. She was really getting into the incoming kiss and she trailed her bony hand up to under his chin, admiring his face in the moon light. He really was one of the cutest guys she'd ever seen in her life, and there was a little bit of a warm spot in her chest as all of this went down. "Very true..." She had whispered, and giggled when he challenged her to a game of Call of Duty. "You are so on, cutie." She said while rolling her eyes, leaning in for the first kiss, but being brutally interrupted by a splash that pretty much drenched her again.


"Oh, I'm sorry, am I intruding?" An obnoxious voice trailed off as the criminal himself swam forwards, sticking himself in between the two and putting an arm around each of their shoulders. He chuckled viciously and shook his head, looking at the both of them, "You guys were totally about to get it on, weren't you? You sick little fucks," he laughed more and shook his head, kissing Lizzie's cheek and ruffling Aiden's hair. In almost immediate response Lizzie splashed the older brother, giving Aiden an annoyed look, but one that was obviously caused by Brandon.
