Victoria Valentine knew she was awake but she just didn't have the drive to get out of bed. With school, boys and all of her social commitments her bed had become her haven. It was the only place she actually relaxed in and the more time she could spend in it, the better. The illusion was shattered however as a stream of sunlight made it's way through her elegant curtains and onto her face. Tori pulled the silk covers over her head and squeezed her eyes shut but it was no use. She was awake. She also had plans today so lounging around in bed just wouldn't do.

Bright blue eyes fluttered open and Tori stretched her body out beneath her covers in an attemmpt to muster the energy to get out of bed. She let her mind drift for a moment before it suddenly occured to her that she'd told Lizzie to stop by that moment. That was enough to boot her into action as Tori practically leaped out of her bed and straight for her bathroom.

After showering, the blonde stood infront of her mirror examining her reflection for a moment. Tori hated looking at herself for too long. If she did she'd spot a million flaws and spend the day infront of the mirror trying to correct them. Before she got sucked into the evil spiral, Tori turned on her heels to get dressed before her friend arrived. When you had a luxurious wardrobe like Tori, it only took minutes to find something fabulous and as soon as she did, she took her wet hair and piled it up ontop of her head in a messy bun.

Ready for company, Victoria left her room and bounced down the stairs towards the family kitchen. Her entire house seemed dead and after a quick shout out she realised neither her parents or her sister were home. Perfect, she had the house to herself. Sliding across the kitchen, she opened the fridge and pulled out a bowl of fresh fruit slad her mother had left, some yoghurt and a jug of juice. Healthy and delicious. As soon as she had everything, Tori walked out to the back patio and set it all out on the dining setting over looking her lavish backyard and pool. Taking her seat, Tori knew that Lizzie would come bursting in any second but until then she'd happily soak up the sun and get started on breakfast.

Within the last week, Lizzie’s surroundings had shifted entirely. Her dad was engaged to a woman that she found to be relatively nice, but she didn’t have too much of an opinion on her, as she didn’t know her all too well. She did however know her two sons very, very well – and her soon to be step brothers. Brandon was the oldest and only a year older, but she dealt with him a lot, as it was that she was a cheerleader and he was a natural alpha male. Aiden she knew from some classes they shared before, being in the same grade and whatnot. She rolled out of her new bed and stood up, eying her room, giving it a final look over before strutting into her bathroom to ready herself for the day. The new living environment was a little odd to her and she found herself staring at it a lot, hoping to become more comfortable, or just a little bit more at ease.

After a thorough shower she blow dried her hair and let it fall down in a semi-wavy state, glowing in its blonde radiance. She put on some skin complementing clothes and slipped her shoes on, her bag being carelessly thrown over her shoulder as she exited the room. It was a day off, whether it was Thursday or Friday, she didn’t know, but she knew that her teachers were stuck in school grading papers and she wasn’t up at the crack of dawn. Today she was going to go by Victoria’s, and that was just about the only plan she could think of, despite maybe some drinks with her new step brothers and their uncle, who also happened to be her English teacher. It was a weird cycle, but she was just happy to know that he wasn’t a total prick about underage drinking and just having a good time.

“Damn,” She heard a low voice utter, and her immediate reaction was to roll her eyes and stop to look back at the perpetrator as he continued to speak. “Why don’t you wear those shorts more?” This wasn’t the first time Aiden put the moves on her, but she knew better than to fall for them or give into him. She grinned a little bit and shrugged her shoulders, “Glad you like them.” She told him, a little giggle escaping her lips as she turned on her heel and walked to the door, looking at Brandon, who was sipping a beer and giving her a funny look. “You’re not that bitch I brought home last night, are you?” He questioned with squinted eyes, and she could only laugh and shake her head before walking out the door and going to her car.

It was a short drive to Victoria’s but they lived on opposite sides of the neighborhood, so there was plenty of time for one song. She sang out loudly to it as she drove, bobbing her head to the beat of Last Friday Night by Katy Perry. “I think we kissed but I forgot!” She finished off the song with that line, her drive going shorter than planned and pulling up next to the house. She didn’t waste any time in going up to the door, knocking lightly before letting herself in and giving the place a quick look around. “Tori?” She called out, scanning the area and then spotting her through the back door. “Can’t hide from me,” She beamed, grinning at her friend as she sat down in a chair next to her on the patio. “Not that you would. I’m not too scary. Unless for some reason I’ve consumed some kind of caffeine.” She joked, leaning back in her chair and resting her purse on the patio ground.
