The only other person that she could ask for advice was xanna. though it wasn't like she could even tell her the whole story. How do you tell someone that you're having an affair with a teacher after it being broadcasted on a gossip blog. How do you even justify having an affair with a teacher, regardless of how much you liked him?
she quickly threw on a brown dress, trying not to think about anything. she put on a pair of thigh high socks and slipped into a pair of heels. it wasn't like she was going somewhere that she needed to be dressed up, she just always dressed nice out of habit. she stuffed her phone into her bag along with her wallet and headed out, taking one last look at the beach before heading to xanna's house. Living on the beach wasn't very nice when you didn't have a car and when you basically only owned heels. She was still getting used to walking around in sand constantly.
On her way, she stopped at starbucks, getting herself a latte and getting Xanna a mocha latte. She figured since Xanna was going to have to listen to her whine, the least she could do was treat her friend to Starbucks. it was wonderful living in the city where coffee shops opened early so all the business men could get their fix. It wasn't long from starbucks to Xanna's house and before she knew it, she was opening the door to her house. "Xannaaaa! I brought you coffee!"

[style=text-align: center] shameless whispers [/style][style=font-size: 10px; line-height: 10px; padding: 25px; margin-top: -10px; color: CCCCCC;] At such an early hour in the morning, one would expect a household to be blissfully enjoying peaceful slumbers. The faint sound of comfortable snoring should've been the only thing breaking the silence: as the smallest indication of an innocent dreamland. But instead, the Oliver siblings were wide awake and waiting paitently for Annalise to make her assumed entrance. The soft clattering of the eldest, Jayson, preparing to make the demanded breakfast caused the junior to smile happily. "Jay, what would I do without you?" |
[/color] The words fell naturally off her lips in a purring sort of manner. Persuasion had always been one of her better talents. "Curl up in a nice little hole somewhere, and die of starvation? Xanna, I dunno why I'm even up right now. And your little intrusion from earlier isn't helping your case either," replied her brother, his weary tone giving away just how exhausted he truly was. But that didn't matter in the slightest to the girl. Where others would find her sudden requests aggravating, Jay was used to making sure Xanna was absolutely content at all times. He figured that was due to how manipulative his sister could be, but a part of the senior really enjoyed taking care of her. She was undoubtedly a ghoulish vixen on most occasions, but he loved her regardless. "And you could've been nicer to my friend," Jay added lightly, moving to crack a few eggs into a frying pan. "Hm? Oh, my apologizes. I figured she was used to the harsh, degrading remarks her whorey antics probably grant her each day. But you're probably right though...as usual. After all, what do I know?" Her wry words rubbed off on her brother stiffly, but his gentle sigh that followed told Xanna that her sarcasm had successfully silenced the senior. She gave a small chuckle as she reminisced on the memory of almost literally throwing the girl out. She really could learn to be a little nicer. At the sound of Anna entering their home, Roxanna's attention sparked toward the front door. She slid down from where she sat on the kitchen's counter top, her hands subconsciously combing through her dark brown locks a few times as she walked. It was nice having a female friend to hang out with, because being 'one of the guys' frequently bored Xanna to no end. She liked strange: she craved for something new and exciting. "You're a doll, you know that?" She said, moving over to take one of the cups lightly from her friend. Glancing over her shoulder back at Jayson, she parted her lips and instructed him to start on Anna's desired waffles. She was pleased to see that her brother began doing this rather obediently. "Feeling any better?" She returned her gaze to Annalise, taking a smooth sip of the beverage. [/div][/style] tagged; anna/jay/xanna. words; 474. notes; these two amuse me. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] IT'S FUNNY TO ME HOW YOU'VE TURNED INTO A JOKE The Words: wah The Outfit: HERE The Notes go here "I've heard this before." she smiled lightly at her friend. Xanna was the only girl that Anna felt comfortable around. sometimes it really was odd, but she didn't have to pretend to care about the high school boys or the latest party with her. they just talked about real things that actually mattered. Like burning people who write gossip columns or people who tell Anna's little secret to the world. Anna took a sip from her coffee, leaning against the counter.
"Thank you, Jay. You rock for making me waffles." She was in much need of comfort food and waffles were her favorite. "Uhm, no. Not at all. You're about to hear a very long story." She paused, looking at her friend. "Well, my situation at home sucked so I moved in with Shane Knight. We had a little fling, I cheated on him with Tyler Mason, he cheated on me with whores in New York. He came back to find me cuddling in bed with Declan, which I thought was no big deal, because I always cuddle with Declan, but Shane freaked out and punched a wall and yelled and I yelled and then Declan called me his girlfriend. Then when I came back from cyelling at shane, declan asked me out. I said no. Because I'm already seeing someone."
she took a deep breath in, sighing. "And I can't tell anyone who I'm seeing because life just hates me and I have to keep it a secret. So this is why I need waffles." She hopped up onto the counter, looking at Xanna, waiting for what she was going to say. She just wished that she could tell someone who she was with. It would make explaining this to her friend so much easier. She ran her hand through her hair,"Life fucking hates me."

[style=text-align: center] shameless whispers [/style][style=font-size: 10px; line-height: 10px; padding: 25px; margin-top: -10px; color: CCCCCC;] ”I don't doubt that,” Xanna said instantly, a knowing smirk curving up the corners of her lips. She wasn't an idiot: she did take all of her friend's admirers into consideration. Anna was a very pretty girl, and her slight arrogance didn't upset the junior in the slightest. After all, confidence was the absolute key to everything that had to do with being desirable. ”No worries, Xanna told me waffles were necessary because you're dealing with a bucket full o' shit. Which surprised me, because you seem like the type capable of getting pretty much anything you want.” |
[/i] Mid sip, Roxanna allowed herself to pause and listen to things more closely: just to ensure that she didn't miss anything of importance. Her light blue eyes slid over to meet Anna's brown ones as she elaborated her complications more clearly, and she was certain to nod every so often as well. ”Doesn't surprise me. It's terrible to say, but I think I'll be a cheater until that freaky soul-mate of mine surfaces in my life. Nobody I've met around here is worth settling down for, so I don't get why he was so pissy to begin with,” Xanna chimed in, shaking her head a bit before exhaling with a tiny sigh. ”Why can't you tell anyone?” Jay asked softly, but his curiosities were cut away by Xanna's simple it's complicated response. The senior returned to his cooking duties. ”Wait, so you are seeing someone? But I thought you were going to use Tyler as your distraction bait?” Her thoughts calculated wildly as she mused over the possibility of the rumor being true. Even if it was, she personally didn't see anything too disgraceful about it. So what? It wasn't as if Anna was the first student to ever have an affair with a teacher. And it wasn't as if everyone else was a fucking saint, either. ”Do you like the person you're seeing?”[/div][/style] tagged; anna/jay/xanna. words; ??. notes; these two amuse me. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] IT'S FUNNY TO ME HOW YOU'VE TURNED INTO A JOKE The Words: wah The Outfit: HERE The Notes go here "I do get what I want. Hence the reason I'm in a bucket of shit." That was all too true. She had wanted Shane, got him. She wanted Tyler, got him. She kind of wanted declan, got him to fall in love with her somehow. She wanted Xavier, and she got him as well. "Waffles will help me more." She smiled at the siblings. she didn't know Jay as well as Xanna, but she was okay with him. He had a shitty taste in women, but otherwise he wasn't bad.
anna rolled her eyes, "Because he's rich and he let me live live with him so he claimed I owed him or whatever." She paused, shaking her head, "I owe no one anything. Except a kick in the shin to whoever started that rumor last night." Anna paused, smiling when Xanna asked if she was with someone. "I'm really not sure what we are but, he's the only person I want to be with right now. And I am gong to use Tyler to take suspicion off of Mr. Summers, thanks to that stupid rumor on the unholy truth last night."
Her smiled grew wider when Xanna asked if she liked him, "I do. I like him so much. I doubt he really knows how much I like him. He's funny, smart, sexy, and actually tries to get to know me." She paused, shaking her head, a light sigh escaping from her lips, "I just wish we didn't have to be a secret. But going public would be even worse." Anna had gotten past the fact that Xavier was so much older and that it was probably illegal, she just liked spending time with him. though she would never go public with it, she couldn't do that to him. It could ruin his life.

[style=text-align: center] shameless whispers [/style][style=font-size: 10px; line-height: 10px; padding: 25px; margin-top: -10px; color: CCCCCC;] ”And tell me, does Mr. Summers have anything to do with why you can't be anything serious?” Questioned the brunette, her suspicious smirk increasing as the quiet seconds continued to tick by. There was no telling what Anna was honestly up to, but if she knew the girl well enough, she could easily confirm that it was something complicated or mischievous. Which thankfully, were two things Xanna approved of entirely. ”And is Tyler going to flip shit whenever you do reveal that you're not really interested in the boy? Because if so, we'll need to conjure up something wickedly evil to prevent that from happening, too.”
”And you shouldn't. You're you, and unless you fucked with someone's life recently, you don't owe anyone anything. It'll be alright, I'm almost certain.” Oh, how precious. Jay had the small tendency of being that adorable man who you could tell anything, and no matter how embarrassing the situation could be, he was likely to wave it off nonchalantly. Judging others wasn't in his programming, so to speak.
”It's good that he doesn't know how much you like him. Because if he did, you'd be giving all the mystery away and the chase wouldn't be as entertaining. Please tell me that you keep your mind clear around him? Tell me that you're sure to make him work a little for your attention?” If this wasn't the conclusion, Roxanna wondered if she would actually start to worry. Nothing scared her more than the thought of someone close to her actually falling in love. Where she herself didn't detest the idea, watching Jay fall victim to the feeling over and over again with no success ever definitely caused her to be skeptical about her friend's relationship. She couldn't remember the last time she heard Anna talk so fondly about a man: and undoubtedly, this frightened her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] IT'S FUNNY TO ME HOW YOU'VE TURNED INTO A JOKE The Words: wah The Outfit: HERE The Notes go here anna chose to ignore xanna's comment about Xavier being her reason for not getting into anything serious and addressed her next comment about Tyler, "I really hope not. But if he does, it'll just be more believable because who wouldn't freak out over me dumping them?" She felt bad not telling xanna thr\e truth about xavier, but what could she do? It wasn't really something that she could admit to, no matter how much she wanted to show him off to everyone and tell them how amazing he was, she couldn't risk it. She couldn't risk his career for her being selfish.
Anna turned to jay, a smile playing on her lips, "Jay.. I fuck with everyone's life." she paused, shrugging, "But if they let it get to them, then they deserve it." As much fun as Anna found in ruining other people's lives, she was really enjoying being settled down. Lately, if she wasn't with Xavier, she was sitting at home reading and other stuff like that. and usually she was alone, because Declan still wasn't talking to her, and Xanna was Xanna. As weird and awkward as Xanna was, Anna loved her to death and found her super interesting. Honestly, Xanna was the only girl she fully trusted.
Anna shook her head, "I suck when I'm around him. I open up to him about everything and I just...." She groaned lightly, angry at herself, "I like him soo much, Xanna. He's so different than everyone I know. He's an amazing person and so sexy in a 'I-don't-care-' way. He's perfect." She let a smile take over her face as she talked about him. She knew in the back of her mind that she was falling for him, she just didn't want to admit it yet. If she was going to admit it, she would admit it to him, in front of him. It would make it real.

[style=text-align: center] shameless whispers [/style][style=font-size: 10px; line-height: 10px; padding: 25px; margin-top: -10px; color: CCCCCC;] Ignoring the question was worse than answering it truly, and the theories carefully calculating within the junior's thoughts only increased as the conversation commenced further. Jay was always a sociable person, much more than she ever was or could be, so she was relieved to find her brother chiming in to fill the silence her automatic pondering would've left Anna with. Many times, Roxanna believed that her mind was like her personal prison: she was locked within the insane security of her head, and the quiet got her no where. She could instantly admit that if anyone had the privilege of dashing into her brain's jumbled domain, they'd flee the scene while feeling utterly repulsed. She had always been a very dark person; her passion for creating panic, or causing others to become obedient refusing to let the better sides of her shine prominently through. There was always something ghoulish persuading her to pull wildly on the strings of others. She secretly longed for simplicity within the core of herself.
I suck when I'm around him. I open up to him about everything and I just....
The ground beneath her feet felt suddenly unsteady, but to solve this issue of sudden startle, she recoiled back into the wooden bar stool and willed her legs to bend into a sitting position. Once the smooth surface kept her from loosing balance, the girl narrowed her gaze fiercely as she traced the counter's top absentmindedly with her index finger. She was partially aware that Anna had no idea why her mood suddenly changed, and she knew that no one would catch on, likely. But the way she started to ramble with an admiring smile confirmed most of accusations. She had witnessed Jay in similar situations; babbling lovingly about somebody he had a fondness for, or even loved truly, and she felt an uncomfortable surge of doubt stiffening her whole spine. It wouldn't be long now, she predicted. Anna would fall victim to having her heart demolished into tiny little pieces.
”The tables have turned then, Anna. Keep that in mind. Usually, you're used to other guys letting their guards down around you and because you're not fully interested, it doesn't bother you to fuck with their lives. If you're not careful, and if you don't watch your back, you're going to give him the ultimate power: the key to your heart,” Her light blue eyes flicked up to meet her brown ones, and her face held an expression that was utterly unreadable. She noticed Jayson was finished making their demanded breakfast, and as he placed the plates near each of them, she moved to start digging in appreciatively. She paused to chew and take another sip of her drink, but pressed on. ”I hope he's good to you though, Anna. If you like him this much. And if it ends up working out for you two, I know someday I'll look at some of the passersby and think: Hey, could that be him? Could that be my soul mate? Could it really be possible for someone like me to actually fall in love, and enjoy ever fucking part of the damned four letter word? Taking the risk is, well in a matter of speaking risky, if you can't even go public with it yet. But the way you talk about him...let's just say, I think he may be worth it.”
Despite her disliking, she composed a small smile before taking another bite of her eggs. She saw Jay's shockingly confused stare out of the corner of her eye, but she brushed it off without a second thought. A part of her envied Anna, for having someone in mind already to spend so much time with. But the remainder of who she was had no one to blame but herself. With her need to shut others out, she couldn't honestly think that having someone around like that would be probable. She wanted to be held close: to be silly in love with an individual as dysfunctional as she was. She cleared her throat to hide a tiny gasp when her chest throbbed just a tad, as she ached for an ending that Xanna believed she would never deserve.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] IT'S FUNNY TO ME HOW YOU'VE TURNED INTO A JOKE The Words: wah The Outfit: HERE The Notes go here Anna listened as she spoke. She knew what Xanna was saying was true. She did have to watch out with xavier. A wide smile came upon her face when Jay set down the plates with waffles. "Tanks jay," She shot a quick smile at him and turned back to Xanna. She took a bite of her waffles as Xanna kept talking. she knew that xanna was right in all this. Normally she didn't care who she hurt, but this time, if she hurt xavier, it would hurt her. If Xavier ended things, it would kill her.
As xanna finished up talking, Anna nodded again. "He opens up to me as well, so I just don't know." She took another bite of her waffle and took a sip of her coffee. "He is good to me. He's great to me, actually." She smiled wider thinking about it, "It's super risky, I know that." She paused, nodding again, "I think he may be worth it as well." She looked up at Xanna, a smile on her face, "I hope one day you can meet him and know him like I do." she took another bite of her waffles, "What about you? What have you been up to?"
Anna didn't want to spend the whole night talking about herself. sometimes she liked to take the spotlight off herself, even though she was rarely not in the spotlight. Especially right now with this rumor. Her phone had already received more than twenty texts about the rumor. she turned her phone off, setting it beside her. Taking another bite of her waffle, she smiled at Xanna and Jay.
