well, hello there! i am oliver evans, a twenty-six year old teacher at first colonial high school. i have a couple degrees, and masters in teaching all subjects, but i'm comfortable in my position here as a science teacher. i could be doing more with my life, but i truly enjoy this profession. plus, it's a comfortable life style for a single guy living alone. i am homosexual. i don't hide this but as a teacher, it's highly inappropriate for it to be brought up at school. i will not lie, but i will not go out of my way to tell people. i think it's inappropriate to bring personal life into schools anyways, not even just for the fact of homosexuality. it's just especially that, being as gray of an area as it is.

my personality. hm. i'm very, very awkward, some people have told me. i don't really get some social things, and i don't really know when to well, shut up. i could go on for hours when it comes to statistics and i read more than i eat. i have an excellent memory and my IQ is well over average.

i grew up with my father, mostly. my mom was a clincally depressed soul, and she ended her life early, when i was thirteen. i told her she was a bad mom. i didn't know what i was thinking. the next thing i knew, my dad picked me up from school early one day and took me home to tell me what had happened. i know it was my fault, and it haunts me to this very day. i could have saved her. if only i had been a better son. my father didn't blame me at all for it, as he had similar views, but mourned her death as i did. we're extremely close, my father and i. we've been through hell and back together when it came to financial things, and i help him pay his rent to this day, as it is that i've published a couple of books and still get income from that.
